Learn from my mistakes
When juggling admin stuff and your #writingprocess, priority should always be on the #writing part. Especially if you are working on a #booklaunch for a book that isn’t finished #finalrevision ‘s yet! Don’t make my mistakes. #amwriting #writingcommunity #authorsky #booktok #authortok #booktube #authortube #writingtips #writerWednesday

Routine Building
Sometimes having a 9-5 writing routine won’t work as much as you want to emulate the writing habits of famous authors. Case in point- I can’t effectively write first thing in the morning. I am most productive in the weee hours of the night. #amwriting #writingcommunity #writing #writingroutine #authortok #authortube

A writers work/life balance
I’ve found that scheduling writing days and off days results in much more productive writing. Writing on days off creates a greater sense of momentum forward when there is zero pressure to perform. That and a healthy work/life balance. #amwriting #writingcommunity #booksky #booktok #booktube #author #writer

Goals are just that, goals.
If you aren’t able to finish your tasks to reach your goal for the day, maybe the task is too large and needs to be broken into smaller tasks. Everyone wants to write 5k a day, but that’s not sustainable for most.  #booksky #bookstagram #booktok #authorlife #writing #writingcommunity #amwriting #goalsetting #writegoal #wordcount

Do it
It is vitally important for you to document your daily progress wins no matter how small. Often, we think we aren’t making progress when we actually are. #booksky #bookstagram #booktube #writer #writingcommunity #writingtips

Easy Peasy
FYI the easiest way to avoid people claiming your work is plagiarized or written by AI is to write it yourself and get another set of human eyes to beta/arc/edit etc… #writingcommunity #writing #booktok

Takes as long as it takes
No one can ride a bicycle the first time they try. It took ten years to draft my first novel, and a month for my second. Stop measuring yourself against others if you haven’t developed a skill yet. #writingcommunity

Just read
If the blank page is being a bully, loose yourself in a book. Your brain needs to consume words more than you need to hit your word count goal. #writing #amwriting #writingcommunity #writetip #writingtips

That’s the rub.

Be it 1 or 1k
Some days you write thousands of words and some only a few. It doesn’t matter how many, the point is that we are making something exist that didn’t beforehand. Give yourself a break, and be happy you are doing what most don’t have the strength to do.Write. #writing #amwriting #writingtips #selflove

Making art is a form of protest.
Remember the last thing a fascist regime wants is people to make more art because art makes people think. It’s ok to use your art as an act of protest. #writingadvice

Writing With One Hand
Two and a half months ago my fiancée and I rescued four newborn kittens when severe flash floods flowed into our backyard. They screamed for help so loud I heard them over the thunder and roaring terrestrial rains. All four were struggling to keep thier heads over the increasing waterline by the time i reached them. Fast forward to today and i am sitting at my computer with only my left hand…

Water off a Ducks Back
*I wrote this post four years ago, and i look back at how this perspective shifted everything in my life in a positive way* One thing I have learned is this: if you are happy, there will always be someone who resents you for it. Day job has a lot of useless drama that serves no purpose. Toxic situations can happen anywhere. This post will focus on turning something negative into a positive. In…

Morning Routines
I forget who says that developing a good morning routine sets your day off on the right foot. They definitely were right. Even though I struggle to maintain it every morning, it ends up with me being satisfied at the end of my workday. Whatever career you desire, always ask yourself in the morning what someone in your ideal career would be doing. Then we have to just suck up our excuses and do…

Well well well…
It has been a minute since we’ve seen each other, isn’t it? While i have not been posting for a few years I HAVE in fact been working in the background on launching my Fantasy Author Career. What have I been doing all this time? Well, loosing a job first of all. Hear me out, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was putting my job and that corporation first and it was not doing the…
