My name is Raed Qassem, and I used to work as a social studies teacher and am a father to a little daughter named Noor. I live with my family in the Gaza Strip, specifically in Deir al-Balah, where the siege and destruction have forced us to live in a worn-out tent that provides no protection from the harsh summer heat ☀️ or the bitter winter cold ❄️.

My Story

In November 2023, my wife carried a new life in her heart, and when she gave birth to our daughter Noor on the 18th of that month, the conditions were more difficult than imaginable. Since that moment, Noor has lived in a world full of the sounds of explosions 💥 and the wind seeping through the walls of our small tent, without feeling safety or warmth. As the days go by, my fear grows with every moment that I will not be able to meet even her simplest needs or give her a life she deserves 😢.

I used to work as a teacher, but the war took away my source of income and closed the doors of hope in front of me. Today, we are living in a bitter reality where the siege deprives us of food, medicine, and the simplest elements of a decent life. 🥺

My Plea to You

Today, I am in desperate need of your support for my small family. My dream is to see Noor grow up smiling 😊 and to be able to provide a life free from fear and hunger for her and my family. I need your help to face this difficult situation and start over. 🤲

How Donations Will Be Used

Every penny collected will be carefully directed to meet our basic needs, including:

1. Providing food and medicine for my family to ensure we stay alive and healthy. 🍲💊

2. Purchasing essential supplies for baby Noor, such as milk and clothing. 🍼👕
