——- The moment he saw the woman fall — rafael was shook, but he had to way his options. especially once she noticed him and share. a slight grin crossed his lips . hesitation — before he gently held out his hand to her. ❝  as amusing as the second sounds - i'm not a complete asshole, so i'll definitely help you up. no worries. ❞ he was truly curious how well she could be at faking a scene but in public, that wasn't the most ideal of options right now. not entirely sure he'd want all eyes on either of them, really.

All it took was one misstep out of the rink to have the brunette come tumbling to the ground — hard. She hit the floor and there was a fleeting hope that no one had seen until eyes see the shoes of someone standing in front of her. Right in front. Meaning that, without a doubt, they'd seen her eat complete shit.

“There's only two options for you,” Lily quickly says, eyes staring up at them from her place on the ground, "Either you help me up without laughing or I'm going to tell everyone that you purposefully tripped me. I'll make a whole show out of it by crying and everything. I've got years worth of practice just waiting to be used.”

Joking, of course, but as a mere way to distract herself from the sheer embarrassment she's going to feel trying to get up herself — a disaster waiting to happen.

"Okay, what the fuck am I looking at here?" Faye asked, eyebrows furrowed as she gave the other person her best earnest effort in trying to follow what was being described. "Because this looks like nothing to me."

——- Work and a passion sounds pretty nice to rafael and he was glad warner could make both work out. ❝  that's actually really interesting. i'm impressed you could do both. ❞ he said and a chuckle left at how it seemed the other was so excited and it was nice to see. ❝  alright — i'm gonna trust your word as you sound so passionate about this. ❞ hearing the rest of what as said a smile came to rafael and it was truly making him glad to have accepted. ❝  great, i'm definitely in. i can definitely be there when needed and still do some other jobs. i've been working at this for a bit — learned a lot and you'll have photos you couldn't be prouder of. ❞ he said, truly passionate about his work.

“A bit of both.” Warner said, warming his hands around his coffee cup. “Video game design is my 9-5 and streaming on Twitch is my passion project.” Warner’s lips spread into a smile of surprised delight, almost fist punching the air when Rafael agreed to take the job. “Dude, you won’t regret it. This is going to be a sick collaboration.” His leg bounces with barely contained excitement under the table. “It won’t be too demanding and I’m happy for you to pursue other job opportunities while being on my team. I’m looking for somebody who can photograph me when I’m invited to streaming and work events. Somebody to occasionally shoot me professionally.”

——- A slight grin crossed as he listened to her talk about bubbles and it brought a sense of pure joy to rafael. ❝  now that would be something it'd truly love to do. i always loved making the bigger bubbles — but shapes ! ? i could only dream of such. might be something to try in my free time. ❞ he chuckled a bit. ❝  and i'm going to enjoy as many as i can and also maybe get some photography in. i mean — a guy's gotta work. plus — enjoy bubbles. ❞

Lucy beams, glad to find someone in this space over the age of ten that enjoyed the pure joy from bubbles just as much as she did. "Right?! I remember those huge bubbles this guy used to in the park, somehow managing to make shapes with them — super cool." Now she's just rambling. "This town in known for having a lot of cool events pop up every once in a while, there will always be more opportunities for bubble time."

——- ❝ Okay, if you insist — i'll accept. ❞ he spoke with a soft grin, trying to be more friendly and open than he usually was. it wasn't that rafael wasn't nice exactly — it was just that he's been hurt a lot and had walls up and thus he had an edge and was usually closed off. ❝ a milkshake would be nice — strawberry to be specific. ❞ he said after a slight chuckle at the 'pick your poison' remark.

"You didn't, really—" she insists, likely a little too bluntly than she should have. Tabitha usually had a way of rubbing people wrong. Feeling a little embarrassed about just blurting about her book when it didn't seem to interest him, she flipped the cover over and move it away. Out of sight, out of mind.

Taking her out her pad, she wrote down his order. "Anything to drink?" she asks, looking back up at him. "We've got all the usual suspects. Soda, milkshakes, coffee, beer, wine.." she could have listed on and on but let her sentence trail off instead. "Pick your poison."

——- ❝  Um yeah — i do. i have been for a while actually. it's truly become something i love to do, actually. ❞ rafael was dead set on having a different career at first, but he was glad this one worked out as it was his first choice. there was also some vlogging he did on the side of some of the travels he took as well. ❝  sounds great, i definitely think we need a thing like this for us. it's like — a sign of true friendship. ❞

"Yeah! I love them so much. Do you take your own pictures?" Roxy always loved to hear what other people's hobbies were and she wondered if he was a photographer. "That would be amazing! We should definitely make it our thing!"

——- Catching what she said, rafael bit his lower lip some curiously — to him that didn't fully add up, but surely she knew better. ❝  don't you have a number then ? could call her phone and let her know. ❞ he suggested. the situation was unsure on the situation, he wasn't fully what to do or even who to look for. the woman's appearance he'd hope looked like the boy, but that wasn't always the case, so he was a bit clueless but he'd still help as best he could. even if he was stuck asking everyone if they lost a son.

"I know her," Katrina assured him with a nod, having met his mother at school pickups and the like. "She's still here somewhere." Lincoln was an only child, so this wasn't some Home Alone situation. The pair had clearly just got separated in the busy hustle and bustle of the summer crowds. Katrina would have gone to the security station if it weren't so far away, fearing that she'd only be taking Lincoln further from his mother. But it would still be an option if they hadn't found her in another few minutes. @rafaelchambers

——- Giving a little nod as he listened — more hesitate as the job was different from what he normally did. however, it was new and he liked trying new things so that was appealing to rafael. ❝  oh — video game designer and you show them off on twitch or play other games ? both ? ❞ he asked purely out of his own curiosities. ❝  you sound like you've been at this a bit so. i'll take the job — just tell me, what all would i have to do ? ❞

"The team I have are highly skilled and always pushing themselves to new heights." Warner explained, sensing some hesitation from the photographer. Warner couldn't blame him, not really. He would have wanted to be certain he was making the right choice too had somebody presented him with the offer Warner had just made him. "I'm a video game designer." He began, "I stream on Twitch on the side and right now it's just me, my moderator, video editor and hopefully my new photographer."

——- ❝ Thank you ! i take my job very seriously. ❞ he said with pride. Hearing the offer for a brief moment, he wanted to jump on it, but he thought first. ❝ i think i could do that, but i'll have to meet the band first. ❞ rafael always made it a point to meet all he took photos of in case after any changes needed to be made. a show would do well for his career, so really — how could he turn it down ?

"I've seen your socials. You're good man." Daniel felt at ease when it came to creating a deal with someone. "I was thinking, if maybe, you'd want to shoot a show this upcoming weekend. You'd get your photography out more especially to fans of the band that are playing. More exposure than you already have." He had to make it sound nice although there was truth to his words. There would be more exposure.

——- A slight chuckle left rafael as the other man joined him. maybe it was just a day or something. at least he hoped because a lot of people wasn't ideal to him. ❝  surely, just not sure what. i just needed my morning coffee to function. might need to see if somethings going on though. ❞ he glanced at his phone, next to him on the table for a moment before shaking his head and drinking some of his coffee.

"Nah, it really isn't. I know this place is good, but I didn't think the whole town would be here this morning." Max laughed lightly at his own joke as he took a seat. He was slightly exaggerating, but it did feel far busier than any other time he had visited. "Is there something going on today or something?"

——- As much as rafael believed — that didn't fully mean truth as much as he hoped, but recording would show that for sure. he did feel rather confident in his ideas such as keo did. ❝  that fucking sucks ! i might have a good setup to record myself — just never did yet. i could record you too if you ever want to try this with me sometime. ❞ he offered before chuckling some at the song mentioned. ❝  my mom was the biggest celine dion fan — her words not mine. so i definitely heard it countless times. ❞

"A-thank you," Keo says sincerely, feeling immediately validated that Rafael also believed that he had a life-changing idea or three that was lost to the sands of the time.

( Or the smoking of blunts, if he was going to be accurate. )

"Recording's a good idea, I think I tried that once but it turned into a seven and a half minute voice memo of me freestyling It's All Coming Back to Me Now by Céline Dion. You ever heard that song? It was G.O.A.Ted in my house growing up. My mom and that song, they got something special going on."

——- Hearing these words — a grin crossed rafael's lips, as he always enjoy bubbles as a kid — even sometimes now when he was having a down day. bubbles and grilled cheese just brought him back to the best times. ❝  now that's something i can definitely agree with. they're fun and just remind me of the best moments of life. ❞ anytime there was bubbles around — he that day was a good one and it was just such a good part of life to him. ❝  probably — but, sometimes you only come to places like this once. so, might not be bad to free spend some, right ? ❞ maybe that was something he always told himself in case he went somewhere he enjoyed for the last time — never knowing when it would truly be the last.

Lucy was half dressing up for the kids, and half healing her inner child too shy to wear glittered fairy wings in public. But she was probably a little too old to admit that. "I don't think you ever truly grow out of bubbles. How can you? They're so fun." Kids, adults, hyperactive dogs alike all enjoyed the floating orbs. "I'm trying not to spend too much. Probably counterproductive to be hanging around stalls when I'm trying to be frugal."

——- Rafael bit his lower lip some as he still wasn't fully sold, but maybe there was some truth, had he met this guy some other way, perhaps. giving a nod, to believing even if he wasn't fully there — but he has been in a situation where he left his keys somewhere and couldn't get them. memories he'd rather not relive, however. the ask of his apartment had his brows furrow and curiosity and mild concern take over. ❝  why are you asking that ? what would where i live help ? ❞ the interest was clear in his voice, and surely this guy had something in mind. not like he'd want to just chill with a stranger, right ?

“I said I’m not breaking in,” he repeated himself and to prove his point he even let go of the door he’d been shaking in an attempt at getting it open. “I was just over here and forgot my keys in her place and she’s off at work now,” Keanu explained. Had he not been lollygagging on his way back to his apartment he might’ve been able to catch his girlfriend before she made it to work but things hadn’t shaped up that way. He wasn’t looking forward to having to walk to the spa now because of course his car keys were on the same keychain as his apartment key. “Your apartment isn’t next door is it?” Keanu asked. Maybe if he tried to hop between balconies he’d be able to get into the apartment. Surely Kylee didn’t lock the balcony door.

——- Rafael smiled softly before eating a dorito. ❝  it's all about good company, right ? fireworks are just — beautiful. especially in the right pictures and videos. ❞ he muses, looking into the sky for a moment before glancing at roxy. ❝  they do. maybe i'll have to catch you here again next year, huh ? maybe this like — our thing to do together. ❞

“Exactly!” Roxy exclaimed before popping another gold fish into her mouth. “Aw, that’s sweet! I’m excited to watch them with you. I’ve always loved fireworks. I just like sparkly things.” She laughed. “They always know how to go all out here.”

——- Rafael laughed as well, giving a nod in agreement. ❝  thanks. it wasn't easy to get started and get out there. it's definitely all about not giving up and just pushing for what you want. also taking any jobs you can — especially in the beginning to start getting your work out there. ❞ advertising and word of mouth was key for him and how he really got things to where they are now. there was some bumps in the road, but he got there. ❝  well — social media isn't a bad start and i do use that as well to show some of my work, but i also got a website, friends and i sold myself to some locals for when they had some events. they'd remember and call me up. ❞ he explained and being proud of one's work was the best start to any career. people really could see if you weren't. ❝  so are you into photography as well then ? trying to make something of that ? ❞

"Maybe we shouldn't think about it too hard, on second thought," Summer laughs. "I think that's so amazing you took the chance on photography, that's gotta be an insanely difficult career to get into. And so worth it, obviously."

"I've taken my own big chances I guess, but like, having some success on Instagram has never felt like it compares to something like making a career out of photography." She presses her lips together in thought, planting her chin in her hand. "I mean, I'm really proud of myself obviously. I dunno. I think it just feels a lot more like luck when it's social media. You actually had to work really hard." @rafaelchambers

——- The first words said to him, had rafael lost for a moment — but then hearing the rest, his heart probably stopped for a moment. someone not only following his work but wanting him to be apart of their team. ❝  is your team just full of the best ? ❞ he inquired — definitely needing to make sure this was the best choice for himself. he's worked solo for so long and building it all up did take time. ❝  tell me about this team of yours and what i'd bring to the table being apart. ❞
