Lol but really, I realistically expect it to be severely rocky. He’ll have good days, mostly bad days, but what keeps him grounded is of course his family, you know?

But imagine losing your entire fleet under your command...

...only to come back to an entire population of thousands of people, expecting that you will lead them.

Ody is desperate to get home because of Pen's birthday or something so instead of waiting for the next fly or something, makes Polites and Eury rent cars, take ride from strangers, go through "short-cuts" that only get them father and farther away without them knowing.

Athena calls from time to time until she and Ody fight because he's not listening to her instructions (she has maps on (and probs tracking his location)) and Ody tosses/breaks his phone.

They get lost for 20 hours, then, somehow, end up just infront of Ody's house where his mother was waiting and ready to beat his ass for not staying put like she thaught him to do when he was a kid and used to get lost (a lot) in the convenience store

I find it incredibly funny from a meta/author perspective, that Ancient Greece decided to name their protagonist that angers many people “Anger Bringer” but, even funnier, is the in universe understating that anyone who meets Odysseus must have had the thought “oh dear, how unfortunate to be named hateful/hated” and then they have exactly One conversation with him and go “Ah I see now”

For reference, Odysseus’ name sounds very much like the Greek word odussomai, which can roughly mean “I am angry at” or “I am the cause of anger” (or simply “to hate” or “to dismiss”), a fact that is used for ironic effect frequently in the Odyssey.

It’s also specifically stated in Book 19 that Odysseus’ grandfather, a master thief and one who has also pissed off a lot of people, specifically named him this because “I am disliked by many, all across the world, and I dislike them back. So name the child Odysseus.” 19.428

Bro looked at his grandson and thought “Ahaha, this one’s going to be a troublemaker like me. Better get him started early.”

It’s like a terrible allegory for cause and effect or something.

It's insane how Pei Ming slutted his way through life and slutted it up even more once ascended, banging mortal, god, ghost, and demon alike yet he managed to be known as The God of Love. People wish STDs upon his hoe ass and STILL pray to him for luck with romance. Meanwhile one unfortunate government mandated typo and poor Feng Xin is forever known as Thick Dick Daddy 27. Like how is that fair.

idk exactly how the gang being in the Human Realm is going to affect everyone, especially since they’ll just gonna stay there for a short period of time, but I just want to see how the whole dynamic will be, especially because the town will have now 2 Luz(s??) 

We could justify the existence of Amity, Hunter, Willow and Gus easily, like, “Well they’re exchange students! That’s why they don’t know what a microwave is. Sure.” Or something like that. But how the heck are they gonna explain two Luz?

Like, is Luz gonna stay hidden all the time? Or maybe they’ll have to like schedule the places and times they go out so no one notices there the doppelganger? The easiest way would be like, yep, this is my twin, who you never ver had heard about and was living away. And that’d be okay and only okay if every single one of the kids. THE COOL KIDS. Suddenly want to be friends with Luz. 

Also, this may give us some angst because Luz would have to act as another person, and not only she’d see that Vee managed to make friends, unlike her, but also now that she has this new name (because I feel like she’ll insist on Vee to still pretend to be her, so she’ll have to choose a new name) and well, is not a secret her personality has changed to because t r a u m a, so now that Luz is this almost completely different person, with more important worries and goals and friends and she has this cool scar on her eyebrow, NOW is when her classmates WANT to befriend HER 

Maybe even, at some point, the cool kids (maybe the blonde cheerleader???) is trash talking about past Luz and how know (Vee) is okay, and (Real) Luz just has to... sit there and take it? Like, I think that could be heartbreaking, especially considering that Luz  thinks Camilla won’t let her go back to the Demon Realm.

Just think about it. What do you say?

Lost and Found AU

I don’t remember when this idea came to my mind, but I was in a bad time in life and basically craved more angst than usual. So, this idea developed in my brain and I cannot let it go, but still have no energy to make it real, because Idk if I want a comic or a fanfic out of it, but here it comes:

The portal was destroyed, and sadly Luz stayed at the Human Realm with no way of coming back. Life goes on, almost fifteen years. The Boiling Isles slowly but surely recovering for the whole Dictator Belos and Defeat God-child situation. The owl crew grows. Especially King, who reaches almost 6 ft now. Eda and Raine sorted out their relationship and now live together and married some years ago. Willow and Hunter are married, too. Gus works in the government, trying to ensure everyone's well-being, Amity is a abomination  teacher in hexside. Even if the coven system was abolished, it would be tyrannical to make kids study all types of magic against their will (multi-tracked students is the norm now, most taking two or three different covens while at school, the kids can enroll and withdrawn from them when they want and it’s relatively easy to do so). 

While they lived fairly calm and happy lives, none of them can really forget their lost friend, who they couldn’t see again anymore, Luz The Human (I headcanon that most witches that interact with Luz actually think “The Human” is her last name. I just thought it would be funny). But one day, without anyone noticing, a tiny human comes from some natural formed portal and arrives to the Boiling Isles. This tiny human is eventually found by Hunter, who at first thinks he’s a lost child or is running away from someone and just... takes the kid in? It’s after some hours that they found out the kid is human and everyone starts freaking out because HOW this tiny human managed to cross a portal? WHEN did this exactly happen? and WHERE can they find that place? THIS may be the opportunity to finally see Luz again!

“Who?” The kid asks playing with his hat. He informed it was snowing in his city. The hat also prevented Hunter from seeing that the child was very much not belonging to this realm.

“An old friend. Luz The Human.”

“Luz?”

“Yeah”

“Oh, that’s funny, My mom name’s Luz, too!”

* Insert flashback of Luz telling them that her name is not really that common where she lives, followed by this kid also saying he’s from Connet-ti-cut *

And that’s how the owl crew found out their Luz is a mom. Before all of them, too.

Also, Eda thinking she’s a grandma now, Gus coercing the kid into telling him how much the technology has changed (the kid is like... seven tops so I think that interactions would be funny), Willow just really wondering how much time really have past and finding the little human be a lot like Luz and also how is he alive he is so reckless how did Luz managed to keep him alive this long?, And also Amity angst because the love of her live moved on and probable has  a happy family with a wonderful partner and a cute kid that is a lot like her and I’m here still in love with her and--

“Wait. You if you are here.... Does your mom knows what happen to you?”

“I don’t know what happen to me.”

THE OWL HOUSE IS LITERALLY ONE BIG ILLUSION CREATED BY THE COLLECTOR! LUZ IS THE COLLECTOR PLAYING THEIR GAME UNTIL THEY MEET THEIR FUTURE (?) SELF WHO WENT BACK IN TIME TO THE BOILING ISLES TO KEEP PLAYING BIT THEY WNET BACK TO FAR AND GET TRAPPED OR SOMETHING I DON’T KNOW??? I KNOW ITS A STRETCH BUT LIKE??? THE EVIDENCE IS THERE SOMEONE SMARTER THAN ME JUST NEEDS TO CONNECT THE DOTS FOR ME!
