"In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you" is just not true because we wouldn't know how to. We wouldn't know how to do taxes or cook a proper meal or dry clean delicate clothes. We wouldn't know, in this life or another, how to take care of our insurance or work out internet deals. We wouldn't know how to wake up and get to work always in time. We wouldn't know how to function in any adult way because we were never taught. So every time I say "In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you" I feel like a liar because it is not true.

But then, an even more tangible, simple truth appears. And right then and there I realize I would love to not know how to do taxes with you. I would love to almost burn down our kitchen together. I would love to accidentally dye your white t-shirts pink. I would love to work out the courage of calling our parents to figure out how to live, and ask for help, as long as it's with you. I would love to not function next to you and grow and be the adult I never thought I could be, as long as you are the one holding my heart every passing year. I would love to wake up late and blame it on your warmth and I would love to not know things knowing that at least, I know you.

An aspect of Hermes that I feel is really slept-on is his domain in animal husbandry. I've seen a lot of different definitions of this term, but from my understanding, lots of animal-human relations are included in this. Despite the name, "husbandry" does not mean "marriage", in this context; according to Google, the general definition is "the care, cultivation, and breeding of...animals."

The care of your pet? Animal husbandry. Getting eggs from chickens and milk from cows? Animal husbandry. Breeding show cats? Animal husbandry. Lots of things fall under this umbrella, and something that I've prayed to Hermes for in the past is the care and well-being of my pets. He's always been extremely helpful, and as someone who also looks after the pets of others, Hermes' animal husbandry domain is a necessity! Let's all stop sleeping on this awesome aspect of Hermes because befriending and caring for animals properly is incredibly important. 🧡✨

And She is the feeling of your smile slowly fading when you didn't realize you were smiling at all.

Going to work running on coffee, 3 hours of sleep and my brain rotting for Arcane

I am privileged to have a home tonight, I am privileged my family members are okay, that those who we had no news about were finally able to contact us after a night filled with worry.

Not many people have such luck. Friends of mine are trapped in their villages, unable to flee, with no potable water and no electricity. Contact is still scarce and news about those in the worse affected areas is difficult if not impossible.

Schools unable to function, news of destruction and death, it's horrible.

For those not living this, take hurricane Milton for example, hurricane Milton has caused 10 victims, in Spain, these floods and extreme weather conditions have taken the life of 100 confirmed victims.

Beautiful places we've known all our lives have been destroyed, roads have been destroyed, houses have been destroyed.

As Halloween creeps upon us, there's nothing to celebrate, we'll spend the following days mourning and trying to build up what was destroyed.

What is happening is a catastrophe and we won't get a normal life until who knows how long, no matter how little affected we may be.

The roads are collapsed and the number of identified victims keeps increasing

Stories of people we know suffering, contact being stripped from us from the storm, everyone is panicking

It's fucking surreal !!

If I have to wake up to another alarm preventing me from going outside and if I have to go another day without seeing my friends, which is what is going to happen, I'll go nuts !!

"Try to avoid unnecessarily getting out of your hou-" people have JOBS they will LOSE if they DON'T GO. And I personally think that unless you're crucial to this society's backbone right now risking your life to go to college or to your damn minimum wage job, you shouldn't be forced to go out. The whole "don't go out unless needed" advice only helps people who have the chance to choose that, but it doesn't do anything to the ones having to drive to go to their job, and if the storm hits hard and affects them that will be because we didn't do anything beforehand

Lots of news about my city being in danger of storms, floods, and damn tornados but it's always "stay at home safe" and not "evacuate in case of emergency" and if this hits us hard and they claim "they couldn't see it coming" I'm going to lose my fucking mind
