I read on here a while back that Jason Todd deserves someone whoās also a little codependent and I couldnāt agree more.
Whether thatās a civilian, vigilante, or hero (whatever floats your boat) (my x readers will always be civilians unless someone asked for something else cause I like the concept lol) (quit pairing Jason with Dicks women!!!)
LOL anyway, I think Jason deserves to be loved the way HE loves in return. Some people characterize him in different ways, but I think we can mostly agree on the fact that he loves deeply (I hope we do please donāt bully me). The whole plot of utrh was because Jason thought everyone moved on and Bruce didnāt avenge him. Just like Jason stated, heād scour the earth to find joker and take him out if he ever so much as laid a finger on Bruce. Thatās not word for word what he said but you get the picture!
He definitely wasnāt the full on angry robin, but he definitely is intense with how he shows his love and care. I could get in a whole tangent on how he still would have trauma and a little anger before he died but this isnāt the post lol.
I feel like if Jason was in love with you heād be pretty obsessed. He would scour the ends of the earth for youš©·ļæ¼

How fandom portrays the Batfam's reaction to Bruce not murdering the Joker after Jason's death:
Bruce: I can't do it. I just can't.
Alfred: Kill the Joker.
Barbara: Kill the Joker.
Tim: Don't, but my mind can be changed.
Dick: Kill the Joker.
How it is actually in the comics:
Bruce: I really want to kill the Joker, but I shouldn't and I will not.
Alfred: Don't.
Leslie: Don't.
Barbara: Don't.
Jim: Don't.
Tim: Don't.
Jean-Paul: If you had killed him, your son wouldn't be dead.
Dick: Don't, and I'm going to beat that blond bitch that thinks he's a better Batman than you.

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest
Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here
Edit: If I knew this post was gonna get 1000+ notes I would've tried to word it better or something, this was a rant I made on the way to the grocery store š
It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony

each year congress people should be required to go on a field trip where they each get dumped in the middle of a random u.s. town & handed a phone with google maps & forced to find their way back to washington solely through the use of local public transportation systems.
to be clear i don't think this would improve our political reality in any way, but it would be fun to watch

Iāve said this before and Iāll say it again but it is absolutely an example of civilizational inadequacy that only deaf people know ASL
āoh we shouldnāt teach children this language, it will only come in handy if they [checks notes] ever have to talk in a situation where itās noisy or they need to be quietā

Reading DC comics from back in the day and having other characters casually call up Oracle on the regular when they needed information is just making me sad man. Barbara Gordon used to be at the center of the goddamn universe. She used to be the go-to gal for everybody in the cape and cowl community. She was the glue that held the world together. The freaking JSA went to her whenever they were in a jam for christ's sake. Now what the hell does she have? She lost just as much as Cass and Stephanie did in the N52 if we're being honest.
