Unnatural

I’m finally back and ready to recommend more fantastic Jdrama!
I binge-watched Unnatural after learning the praises it’s been getting since it was first released. And oh man, I was not disappointed, not in the least.
The entire cast is fantastic; I have no complaint on how they portrayed their characters. Masataka Kubota, in particular, has improved much since the last time I‘ve seen him. Kudos to him for a job well done! Also, it was a pleasure to see Satomi Ishihara and Arata Iura acting together again. Their dynamic in this drama is completely different from Rich Man Poor Woman, but their on-screen chemistry is just as strong, if not more.
Plot-wise, it was excellently written. The key points of the overall mystery was masterfully executed since the first episode, yet I did not see the plot twist until it was revealed. It’s great how it could keep people guessing until the very end.
If you’re interested in forensic pathology (and even if you’re not), this 10-episode drama will keep you entertained from beginning to end. 100% recommended.

Recommendation List (pt.2)
Note: This list is in no particular order
6) Heavenly Forest
An unexpected meeting leads to friendship between two college students. They often go to the forest to take photos and romance blooms. But what happens if one of them has a secret she can't keep hidden? Although there are some plotholes, this bittersweet movie is good and worth watching.
7) Seigi no Mikata
Fans of ShidaxKanata will enjoy this humorous drama. 15-year old Yoko (Shida Mirai) is often tormented behind closed doors by her "perfect" sister Makiko (Yamada Yu). Ironically, Makiko's actions somehow always ends up making things better for others, thus called an "ally of justice". One day, Makiko falls in love and Yoko's life suddenly becomes much more hectic. I love this drama, simply because it has all of my favorite actors and actresses in it! Shida Mirai, Kanata Hongo, Mukai Osamu and Yamada Yu--who can resist?
8) Kuzu no Honkai
Warning: Contains mature scenes not suitable for people below 18 years of age. So if you're 17 and below, skip this drama. This is one of the most recently finished drama that I started watching before it finished airing. Mugi and Hanabi seems like an ideal couple at first glance, but they both have someone else they love and are only dating each other to soothe their loneliness. They share physical intimacy (hence the warning) driven by loneliness. But will things stay like this forever? If you like a realistic view on love, then check this out.
9) Paradise Kiss
Probably the first jmovie I've ever watched. This is the movie that made me fall in love with Mukai Osamu and jmovies/jdramas. The chemistry and tension between the two leads, the flow, and dialogue made this one of my favorite jmovie of all-time. When I first watched this, I was so in awe of Kitagawa Keiko's beauty and poise, especially since she was a model in this movie. Plus, this movie is where I first saw Kaku Kento who looked bad ass with piercings. Go give this movie a try!
10) My Rainy Days
I gave this movie a try because it had some great reviews and I did not regret it. I love this movie. It makes you question life, love and yourself. It makes you believe in soulmates and love at first sight. If you're looking for a movie that's going to make you believe that love is real, then watch this.

I chanced upon this movie while I was searching for dramas and movies to put in my recommendation list. And wow wow WOW, I didn't regret clicking the play button. THE MURDER OF SNOW WHITE is a mystery about the murder of beautiful office worker Noriko Miki (Nanao). The accused Miki Shirono (Inoue Mao) disappeared after the night of the murder and the police have been trying to track her down ever since. Meanwhile, Yuji Akahoshi (Gou Ayano) interviews Shirono's friends, family and colleagues. I commend the acting skills of every one of the leads, especially Inoue Mao. Face it, playing a role in different perspectives is difficult, to say the least but they all managed to pulled off. My only complaint is that the murderer was too obvious (but that's just me). Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie!

Recommendation List (pt. 1)
Note: This list is in no particular order.
1) Ie Uru Onna (Woman Who Sells a House)
This drama is about a woman who is passionate about selling houses. Basically, it’s about real estate. I normally wouldn’t be interested, but the leading lady played by Kitagawa Keiko is interestingly different from others. Watch this to find out why ;)
2) Kimi wa Petto (You’re My Pet)
Fans of Matsujun should watch this drama (if you haven’t yet). In this drama, he’s the “pet” of an office lady who is often shunned because she’s “perfect”. The chemistry between the two leads is undeniable and the dialogue between them are sweet and playful. And c'mon, who can resist Matsujun’s puppy dog eyes?
3) Koe Koi (Voice Love)
An interesting drama that will make you question, “What’s the face of the boy behind the paper bag?” from start ‘til end. Added bonus: the boy’s voice is dreamy.
4) Hana Kimi (2007)
Do I really have to recommend this? Most fans have probably watched this hilarious drama. If you haven’t, then GO WATCH RIGHT NOW. There’s no major reasons why I chose this remake. I only watched this because of the great actors and I did not regret it. Horikita Maki, Oguri Shun, Ikuta Toma, Mizushima Hiro and others were all pretty amazing here but I have to give my hats off to Ikuta Toma. HE WAS THE BEST. He was the reason why I couldn’t stop laughing. I became hysterical at one point. But no, still did not regret it.
5) Parasyte & Parasyte Finale
At first, I watched the movie only for Sometani Shota but then I completely fell in love with Miggy. This movie is an interesting take on alien invasion and I swear it’s great (Slightly gory too). Both movies are definitely worth watching!

Even if it's just a rumor, I honestly don't want a remake of Hana Yori Dango. The original cast was perfection.

It's been a while since my last recommendation. A few hours ago I wouldn't have expected my heart to be broken into pieces by watching a two-hour movie, but PIETA IN THE TOILET proved me wrong. How should I explain this? Let's just say it's one of "those" movies where you won't really cry but feel the sadness imprinted in your heart instead. It's one of "those" movies where the two leads have amazing chemistry together but you know in the back of your mind that a "them" is not a possibility. Pieta in the Toilet is about a man who had given up his dream of becoming a painter and instead works part-time cleaning windows. Then one day he finds out he has cancer and only has 3 more months to live. It's during this time that he meets a high schooler whom he eventually feels attracted to. That's it. That's the summary of the entire movie. Don't think, "Oh, I know what's going to happen so I'm not going to watch it anymore." Don't think, "How predictable." Give it a chance and WATCH IT. It's not the kind of movie you think it is. (I'm not even going to talk about how AMAZING the cast was because you're gonna see it for yourself once you WATCH THIS.) In case you're interested: to the left is Yojiro Noda, lead vocalist of RADWIMPS. To the right is Sugisaki Hana, who also played a role in Mysterious Transfer Student. Photo Credits: Google

Confession#3
[I just thought of this when I posted the recent recommendation post] I heard some people were saying that Miki Honoka was not as pretty as the Kotoko in other installments and I was SO surprised. I think Miki Honoka is pretty, adorable and VERY likable❤

This is long overdue, but since no other j-drama have piqued my interest lately I decided to post one of my favorites, and that is Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo (Seasons 1&2).
There are so many versions of this and I can’t say that I’ve watched every single one (I didn’t even read the manga because it was incomplete), but this is definitely under my Top 5 favorite j-dramas EVER.
I can say so many things about this but I don’t want to spoil those who have never watched this series before (*gasp* who HASN’T watched this?) so I’ll just list off the parts I really like:
1) The cast (Furukawa Yuki and Miki Honoka were AMAZING as Irie and Kotoko)
2) Coffee scenes
3) THE ENDING
This is in all honesty very well-made but one thing that fell short was the character development of Kotoko’s friends. The character development in the Korean version was one of the best parts of the entire series so when I was watching the Japanese version, their friendship fell short for me. But don’t let that hinder you because I assure you this is still an enjoyable watch.
At the end of Season 2, you’ll be wishing for an Irie Naoki of your own ;)
Tempted yet? So go watch this series now! It’s totally worth your time!
