The most recent quarter sawn oak stands are off to their new home. This set has been in the works for quite a while. They even had a small design change. I made the original bottom rails to short, so the new ones are from thicker pieces. The extra width gave the base a heavier look and physical feel. I like it.

This little Frankenstand build is complete and ready for finish. A fun little exercise in using up found materials, cutoffs, and milling discards, as well as a drawer mock up I made almost 7 years ago or so. I haven't decided how I am going to finish it. Maybe stains, maybe just a couple of coats of poly, maybe something different. For now it goes in the house for storage. BTW, anyone else think it looks like a poor man's AT-AT when the drawer is out? 😀
