I gotta ramble about Showtimeshipping and Digital Circus for a hot minute before this thought disappears into the Void forever.
I just LOVE the potential of a Caine/Pomni dynamic in a one sided disaster ship kinda way. I see alot of shippers like making Caine the romantic one. Whether its Showtime or Royalshipping it seems Caine is boisterous and loud, therefore he's the haughty romantic. But he is afraid of Moon's advances, "Let's get outta here before the Moon get's frisky!". He's also an AI made for a children's point and click adventure carnival game by a cooperation in the early 2000s. Gooseworks has stated at Glitch con that he lacks alot of human emotions. I see no reason he would be outwardly romantic in the slightest other than his overenergetic and passionate personality.
I find it more hilarious if Pomni, the anxious and probably overlooked in her past life girl that she is, emotionally latched onto Caine in some way or another. Either from his personality being everything she wished she could be, bold and confident, simply seeing him as a powerful being that is the last remaining hope she has of returning to who she was, or a lighthearted Stockholm syndrome emotional dependency I dont' know. Maybe it's simply she found his voice attractive and spiraled from there. Pomni becomes angry that she's attracted to this floating teeth with eyes and just screams. Jax catches onto her little infatuation very easily and makes fun of her without outing her, making it a back and forth with them.
Caine eventually realizes his new player is unhappy and becoming increasingly unhinged very quickly. He doesn't want another intrusive abstraction, especially since she just got here, so he begins spending more time with Pomni trying to get her to chill. His purpose is to entertain and provide a fun escape from daily stress, so seeing a player as stressed as Pomni is tugs at his sensors. He needs her to be as accustomed to the world as everyone else is. If not he failed as a video game and failed is own programing. It's his duty to ensure she is comfortable and having fun.
So now Caine is hyper vigilant of Pomni's life and emotions. He takes her on adventures just for her to cheer her up, just the two of them. This is to ensure the quest is specific to her, that others aren't at risk to make her spiral further, and that he has full attention on her so he can assure her it is a painless and harmless quest, since he can always fix her or get rid of an issue if it becomes too much. All of it was just meant as a safety procedure, but Pomni sees it as coming on to her with his eagerness to spend all this alone time together. Human perceptions see it as a date, which is not even a thought for Caine. She's still jumpy and nervous and touches him alot. Like alot alot, which Caine thinks is her telling him she's lonley of course! So he gets her gifts to make her feel like she belongs and that she has things to keep her saine. Off course, this all interpreted by Pomni in a Human relationship lense and the attention deepens the hole Pomni has now dug for herself.
Eventually Caine rambles his frustrations about Pomni's behavoir and how no matter what he tries he can't seem to make her happy here to Bubble, who repeats some of his words to the cast that is mostley gone ignored, except for Jax (who already knew) and Ragatha, who finally understood what was happening and feels bad for them both. Pomni is struggling with a crush on a probably dangerous and confused AI while said AI is getting flirted with by a Human and is driving himself mad trying to decipher her strive. She steps up to actually let Caine know what he is missing and this is when true Showtime would start, with Caine realizing he does enjoy helping Pomni and Pomni coming to terms with her emotions instead of just screaming at herself for having them. From there they can have a cute, if mostly aromantic, fluffy friendship that almost borders on dating, but never quite gets there with Caine's limitations.
She's feeling claustrophobic from the tent one day and he generates a small area for her to explore stressfree to take her mind away from that feeling of being trapped. He talks about having creations both from Jax saying, "is this another one of your NPCs?" and Caine saying, "You know how I don't like people seeing my unfinished work" so he is a learning AI that enjoys creating and seems somewhat artistic, despite his limitations and bluntness. He enjoys helping her feel at home, despite the circumstances and Pomni grows more comfortable with herself by his radiating confidence, yet they can both be equally frantic and chaotic if the scene needs it. It's both a timid/bold dynamic and a chaos duo and I love it.
Ok that's my showtime HC dump byeeeeeeeee

Happy Halloween
Jesus Christ this turned out to be longer than I expected.
Cw: none (that I can think of)
Ariana shifted uncomfortably as the people around her closed in on her and Minerva. The two had decided to head to a bar for a couple of Hallow's eve drinks to prep themselves for the collective mourning that would take place after tonight. However, they vastly underestimated how many people would be present. What was meant to a nice night out turned out to be another one of the many mistakes the sisters would make in their ever-expanding lifetime. Minerva looked towards Ariana and motioned for her to get closer. Ariana leaned her ear in and allowed Minerva to scream in it.
"We should leave. It's getting real crowded." Minerva stood up from her stool and quickly paid for their drinks. Ariana followed soon after. Her shoulders tensed as she steered through the heavy crowd to reach the door. Minerva quite literally pushed through with ease, earning a few agitated stares as she trudged on. Someone was nice enough to open the door for them once the stranger noticed them approaching. They nodded as thanks and rushed out the door before making their way down the street. Ariana sighed in relief as she stretched out her arms.
"Thank God. I would've started suffocating if we stayed in there." She chuckled. Minerva huffed in amusement as she shook her head before looking around. The streets were a lot busier than they usually were. Stores and restaurants that would've closed up early were now welcoming late guests. Children who'd otherwise be scolded by their parents for staying up late were enjoying the experience alongside them. Minerva couldn't help but smile at the sight. Jealousy soon sprouted beside her joy. She couldn't help it. Seeing those families and friends join together as a whole left a void in her heart. When was the last time she and Ariana visited their mother? When was the last time they spoke to their extended family? Would they even believe them if they said they were related? How would they even explain it? Minerva brushed her thoughts aside when she saw something move from the corner of her eye. When she turned to face it, she found nothing. Her eyes quirked to the side again and she turned herself to face Ariana. Ariana's eyes looked towards the other side of the road. Curiosity glistened within them, but a tinge of fear soon sparked as her eyebrows furrowed.
"You alright?" Minerva reached a hand out and tapped Ariana's shoulder. Ariana's face softened as she looked towards Minerva.
"Hm?" Ariana hummed. "Oh. Yeah, yeah. Let's just keep going." She gave Minerva a nudge and soon started walking again. She seemed to be more on edge then when they first left the bar. Minerva followed after her. It was her turn to look towards the other side of the road to search for what caught Ariana's attention. She gave up when they were far enough. More time has passed, and the sidewalk they were occupying became more and more bare as they progressed. The lights became dimmer and the sounds of laughter were replaced with the quiet murmur of crickets. The two sisters were more vigilant now than they were before. A sense of dread began to set in all of a sudden due to the change in atmosphere. Perfect for contemplating ones existence, but that would have to be pushed off for a later date as one of the women jumped at the sound of voice. The both of them paused and looked around aimlessly. Minerva placed a hand on her head and rubbed at her temple.
"I think I had too much to drink. First I'm seeing things and now I'm hearing random voices."
"Well, that makes too of us." Ariana giggled nervously and walked on as if nothing happened. Minerva, on the other hand, stood still as she heard the voice again. Her brows furrowed and she whipped her head behind her when another black figure hit the corner of her eye.
There was still nothing.
There's nothing.
There's nothing. She told herself and she carried on. Minerva found herself bumping into her sister not too long after.
"Oh sorry." Ariana didn't budge but she muttered an "it's okay" as her eyes were transfixed on the other side of the road again. Minerva followed Ariana's eyes to find that the empty sidewalk now had a shifting occupant. Minerva's hand scrambled through her pocket until she felt the familiar shape of a canister. She gripped onto it as tightly as she could before she heard a familiar voice calling to her. Her tense shoulders suddenly relaxed for a brief moment until they tightened again once she recognized who's voice it was.
It's not him. Minerva thought to herself as she turned to continue her stroll. She reached a hand out to grip Ariana's shoulder but she swatted Minerva's hand away from her and started making small steps towards the figure at the other side of the road. Her eyes squinted slightly as she drew near. The world around her grew quiet as the voice called her by name. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she got close to the center. Minerva called out to her to no avail. Worry soon snapped into action as she followed.
"Ariana!" She screeched as she caught up to her. This time she managed to grab hold of Ariana's shoulder. "Ariana where the hell were you going?" Minerva scolded as Ariana came to another halt. She would've been as still as a statue if it weren't for her shivering. Minerva listened as her sister's breathing grew uneven and became muffled sobs. She let go of Ariana and took a step in front of her. Streaks of tears ran continuously down her cheeks and her mouth was tightly pursed to keep her sobs in. They eventually came undone and Ariana broke down. She reached her arms out and clutched onto Minerva tightly. Minerva was quick to return the gesture. "You're okay...what's wrong?" She asked and felt as Ariana shook her head against her shoulder. "Ariana. What's wrong?" Quiet croaks met her silence. "Ari-" a shiver ran down her spine before she could finish saying her name. Her gripped loosened on Ariana as her head whipped back to see the figure. What was assumed to be one of its hands reached towards where its mouth would be and silently called out to them. Minerva's tight expression dropped as the figure became more clear. Her grip on Ariana quickly unraveled before becoming absent as she stumbled toward the figure.
It's not him. Her legs wouldn't listen to her when she told them to stop.
It's not him. Her breathing grew uneven and tears pricked at the corner of her eyes.
It's not him. Ariana whipped past Minerva and the figure held out its arms. Ariana opened hers as wide as she could. A gleeful cough escaped her lungs.
It's not him. Minerva started running too. She soon found her arms spreading on their own as she grew closer by the second.
It's not him. Ariana threw her arms around the figure. One of its hands held her as the other still reached out to Minerva.
It's not him. It's not him. It's not him. It's not him.
I don't care.
Minerva crashed into the two. They quickly threw their free hands over her and they gripped one another other tightly. The two women completely let loose and sobbed onto the figure until it felt like their throats would give out. The figure leaned back slightly and kneeled with the two still on hand. It didn't let go as it led them to the ground.
"Pap谩..." Ariana whimpered. The hand of the figure reached towards her head and gently stroked at her hair.
"I'm here." It whispered.
"I'm home."

Just three short pieces of writing
"Mam谩!" Callie screeched as she ran through the halls of the house with Trejo following behind her with a belt in hand.
"Get back here you piece of shit!" Tejo shouted back as he nearly caught up to her. Callie eventually clutched onto their mother and started crying. Sophia placed the papers she was holding on the nearest counter before tending to her daughter.
"What the hell? What's wrong, dear?" Callie pointed towards Trejo.
"He was going to hit me!" Sophia sighed as she looked towards her son.
"What did she do this time?"
"She scribbled all over my books then threw one at me when I started telling her off!" Trejo huffed and crossed his arms as he glared at the girl. She glared back at him.
"Okay..." Sophia took a deep breath before crouching down to reach Callie's level. "Mija, you know that your father and I have plenty of money to buy you a journal. All you have to do is ask." She reached a hand over to wipe away the tears left on Callie's face.
"I know..." Callie whined, "but you and pap谩 are always busy, so I never get to." She started fidgeting with her dress.
"We're willing to take time out of our day to go to market if it means you won't scribble on your brother's books." Sophia giggled and turned back to Trejo, "We will be replacing those soon." She stood up and quickly picked the papers back up. An idea sparked. "Hey Callie, why don't you scribble on..." She quickly flipped through a few before finding a decently blank one, "this?" She presented the paper in front of the child as she finished. Callie's eyes lit up as she quickly took the paper from Sophia's hand and rushed back to her room. Trejo eyed Callie until she was out of view. Then turned back to face Sophia. She took a few steps towards him and opened her free arm to offer a hug. He hesitantly accepted it.
"I'm sorry..." He mumbled.
"You know I'm not the one you should be apologizing to."
"I'm not apologizing to Callie. She swung first." He huffed.
"She's just a kid. She doesn't know any better, but you do." She gently smacked the back of his head before she broke their hug. "If you need me, I'll be in the kitchen." With that, Sophia walked off to take a seat at the kitchen table. Trejo stood where he was for a moment to let her words sink in. When they did, he scowled.
"She's just a kid, she doesn't know any better." He repeated mockingly.
"I heard that." Sophia called. Trejo jumped at the sound of her voice. He rushed back to his room with a face full of embarrassment.

Callie sighs as she steps out of a room. She looks towards the clipboard that was handed to her and begins flipping through the papers as she walks. She's at it for a while until she spots another state walking besides her from the corner of her eye. She looks up briefly to see Albert. She groans and he smirks at her. She goes back to looking at through the papers and mentally putting together what she was going to write in any blank spaces. Once she's looked through everything, she flips the papers back and speaks.
"What do you want, Albert?" The man at her side shrugs.
"Eh, nothing. Just wanted to say that uh...words truly can't describe how beautiful you are." Callie stops walking. She finds herself lightly chuckling at the remark.
"Really? The man that seizes every opportunity he can to call me every name in the book is suddenly calling me beautiful?" Callie places her free hand to her chest as her chuckling erupts into pure laughter. Albert looks at her with a deadpanned expression as she calms herself down. "That's rich." She mocks as the hand on her chest rose to her face and ran across her cheek.
"I'm being serious." Albert states bluntly. The smile on Callie's face only seems to widen at his words.
"Yeah right. This is probably a set up for another one of your poor jokes." Callie remarks as her free hand rests itself on her hip.
"It isn't. Listen, I know I've said a lot of rude things to you in the short time that I've known you, but I'm being earnest when I say that there aren't enough words to describe a beauty like you." The smile on Callie's face seems to fade as the look on Albert's face morphed into one of hurt.
"You're serious?" Alberts nods. Callie shifts uncomfortably for a moment. She looks off to the side to gather a response and to process the emotions soaring in her mind at that moment. Finally, she looks back at Albert. "That's...actually really-" Albert huffs a breath in and interrupts her.
"But numbers can, and I'd say you're a three out of ten!" Albert smiles and chuckles to himself as Callie just groans. She starts walking again, and makes sure she bumps into Albert as harshly as she can before speedwalking as far as she could.
"Real funny Albert." She rolls her eyes.
"Thank you!" He shouts back.

Ariana and Minerva laid on top of the roof of a building. Minerva had her arms crossed behind her head to cushion it while Ariana scrunched her jacket to use as a pillow as her hands rested on her stomach. The two looked up at the sky as the colors of dusk gradually faded into night. They basked in the cool air that brushed along their skin and the shimmering lights from stars that popped into the empty sky. It was a moment they've lived through before, but it still seemed to spark awe in them every time they experienced it. It was the source of many conversations, and tonight wasn't any different besides the topics of discussion.
"Do you ever wonder what dying is like?" Minerva asked nonchalantly. Ariana snickered at the sudden shift in mood.
"Who hasn't?" She giggled. Minerva stared at the sky intently. Focused on answering the question, even if it was purely rhetorical.
"Good question." Minerva chuckled after a while of pondering. Her mood quickly shifted once she recalled a particularly unsavory memory. "Uhm...Ariana?"
"Yeah?"
"It's happening again."
"What is?" Ariana sat up and looked down at her sister. Her expression was sour from the sudden influx of repressed memories that followed the previous. "Oh." Ariana caught on quickly. "Take your time. I'm looking away."
"You don't have to. Just distract me." Minvera put bluntly. Ariana bit a nail as she tried to come up with a topic of discussion that would take Minerva's mind off of what was plaguing her. The pressure on her nail lightened as something came up.
"Can I talk about mam谩?" Minerva quickly nodded. Ariana repositioned herself to where she sat beside her sister with her legs crossed. "Okay. Uh...remember when she would play with our hair whenever we got scared or nervous?"
"Yeah...she says we fell asleep when she did it most of the time. Hell, that's the reason she refused to do it when we were visiting relatives. Because she and dad didn't want to carry us all the way back home." A faint smile painted itself on Minerva's lips as she spoke.
"She opted for lightly patting us on the head instead. Or just holding us tightly." Ariana demonstrated the motion by lightly tapping on her head with two fingers. "It was nice. I wish we didn't live so far from her." She sighed.
"But we can visit dad anytime...on second thought that doesn't sound as comforting as I thought." Minerva's face went straight. Ariana wheezed.
"No no. You're right." She giggled out. Minerva ran her hands over her face and laid them on her stomach afterwards.
"Still." She muttered out sternly. They stopped talking for a bit afterwards. The two women allowed themselves to become engulfed in the setting once again. Each reminiscing on those fond memories that formed in childhood. A light chuckle would escape them occasionally when a particularly humorous memory came at the forefront of their conscious. Minerva eventually sat up and turned to face her sister.
"Hey. Could you braid my hair?" Ariana lit up at the question.
"Sure!" She chirped before getting up only to take a seat behind Minerva. Minerva then undid her usual ponytail and let Ariana handle the rest. "For the record, I fully expect you to return the favor."
"I will." Ariana could hear the smile on Minerva's face as she split her hair into strands.
"Let me know if I'm tugging too tight. I want it to be secure but I'm not trying to pull your hair out, okay?"
"Okay." With that, Ariana began.
