You know, I wonder why Max never joined his siblings on their conquest to get the Ultimate Watch (I theorize he was sick at the time, so he could not go).

I've been wondering about it, too (I won't say that the creators were in writer's block because it will be super underwhelming and ruin the fun (^-^;))

I have THEORIES:

1. Max is a FAILIA (Reminder: He's not a failure. He's a good guy with a good heart but a confused mind. He's still a failure in romance, though.) : It's just that he's very different from his siblings. I like to think he's not as strong or prideful as Leo royalties traditionally are (not that he should be as strong as Rex, BUT he doesn't meet the bare minimum of standards). He's somewhere the same as Kuga in strength, who's proved to be weaker than a single Leo (Don't tell Kuga that) and more compassionate. (He's not really kind, but he's got the spirit of benevolence.) Plus, with the fact that he's a prince, he became some sort of black sheep within the family. So... Not to make themselves an "embarrassment", they don't allow him in. (Very sad...)

2. A run away vs family-oriented: During the conquest, he ran away to avoid dealing with his brother Manus's sacrilege, which obviously has huge consequences. Why didn't he go heads on? Well, he was outnumbered BY THOSE WHO'S, ALONE, STRONGER THAN HIM. He's the youngest, and he still holds a bit of loyalty to his siblings, not as leaders but family. (Isn't that just sweet? Poor guy)

3. Rebellion: Max becomes a leader of rebels attempting to overthrow Manus's tyrannical regime (Yeah, screw that guy.), but it fails... Some of the rebels were executed... And he's just got locked away and then forgiven after the conquest collapsed. (The family dinner is even more awkward in this theory...)

4. He's late during the awakening: Not every Leo was out of the seal at that time, only a few like Rex, Kali, and Manus. It makes sense since they only have fighters from other tribes and not the Leos. Max was still trapped with the others and slept through the entire thing until his siblings woke everyone up (He'd be very confused, lol)

That's all I have for now. I hope we can somehow get more lore of everyone about themselves and the tribes. But the fun thing about unfinished stories is that we get to choose our own fabric patch to fill up the holes and expand the giant blanket. So feel free to theorise the heck out of the plot. Maybe you can even establish the entire Running Man world in your own unique way. :)

Just gonna dump more lore: in the Catch Petit Akong minigame, Lady Bone Demon possessed Liu and made him attack the others to ensure they would not win.

You have a very fun imagination.

However, I think it's more efficient to share your AU on your own page as QnA on others is easily drowned out in notifications. ( ;´･ω･`)

I can't upload the doodles (stupid error in the system...). But I'll give you an idea: Wukong, Lonky and Popo doing the Team Rocket pose and Liu, Kuga, Miyo, Gai and Pala are concerned/annoyed.

This... is actually a really fun idea!

Therefore, I decided to make a sketch for it. :]

I also briefly designed Wukong's new clothes to git more in the typical Running Man fashion style. (And gave Lonky a small skirt because...............)

After just finishing one of my comics (and daily work....), I'm now a bit out of idea for the vision of your AU as my mind is begging me to rest. (^^;)

Had a little AU idea where Sun Wukong is a part of Team Running Man (from the Demon Tribe) and his DV 7 counterpart is Macaque (Macaque is part of Metronome in my AU and was red explosioned along with Rema) and Wukong forms the brotherhood with Lonky and Popo (oh, no. Three gremlins). Is initially mean to Gai (there could only be one monke), but grows to care for him and he misses him (he spends most of season 2 sulking about Gai leaving). He has a bit of a rivalry with Kuga, has a sibling-like relationship with Liu, Miyo and of course, Lonky and Popo and he calls Pala an "old man" and enjoys pranking him.

More chaos is on the way with monke. Also, leave that old man- I mean pops- I mean Pala alone!!!

What if Sun Wukong was a revered god in Gai's tribe???? :OOOO

Interesting concept. Still, I'm pondering. If we, REALISTICALLY, compare cultural origins of Wukong (Chinese) and the one that the Mong's currently and quite heavily based on (Japanese), not so much consistency... ┐('～`;)┌

However, I think I have some ideas:

1, The Mong Tribe divides into clans: One that Gai and Spin are in, and some others. And we can have one that worships our mischievous immortal monke as a god. Then, the religion spread across the entire tribe throughout centuries til today.

2, Influenced by another tribe: Another tribe, which may take inspiration from the real Chinese culture, influences the Mong's beliefs and religions. As a result, Sun Wukong becomes one of the respected deities within the culture.

3, Misconception evil laughter (╰‿╯) : Apparently, we also have a Japanese monkey god in real life, Sarugami. Wukong and Sarugami have a lot of similarities to each other, monke, mountain, god, demon, asshole, savior, many hate them, many love them. Therefore, other tribes or even the Mong themselves mistaken both of the gods to one another.

4, Monke cult, monke cult: An ancient cult worshipping a monke, specifically Sun Wukong. Then, it officially became a legal religion in the modern era. Hail Monke!!!

That's all I have for now. The Running Man universe has a lot of open ends in worldbuilding. It's really flexible for you to be inspired and combine many cultures (from yours or others) together to create headcanons and fanons for a tribe.

Remember, be respectful to real-life cultures and people, be creative and free in fiction. No ill-intention, just inspiration. Take criticism if you really want it. Ignore, report, and block is the way. And most importantly...
