Wednesday has been typing on her typewriter for the past forty-five minutes and Enid was out with Yoko for the night, needless to say you were getting extremely bored with the lack of attention you were receiving.

You'd never do anything to purposely piss Wednesday off while she was busy, unless she seriously deserved it. You'd mess with her while she was in class, not really paying attention or when she was sitting in the courtyard outside. Technically, she didn't deserve it much of the time.

You signed up for this, knowing she devotes an hour of her time each day to writing her novel. She wouldn't even let you read any of it, not even the first page. Usually during her 'writing time', you would giggle with Enid while she posted on her gossip page, or you two would listen to quiet music. You'd add things here and there while Enid typed away on her phone.

Groaning, you pulled your phone out of your pocket. The bright yellow case with small pink flowers, something Wednesday despised. She told you that the colors were too bold and bright, and that the flowers were not chronically correct. 'Sunflowers aren't pink.'

Clicking on the power button, your phone screen lit up with five new messages. Two from Enid, two from Ajax and one from Xavier. You rolled your eyes at the message from Xavier and swiped his notification away.

Your phone screen background came into view. It was a selfie of you, Enid and Wednesday. You and Enid were looking thrilled in your cat suits and Wednesday looked like she wanted to murder someone. Secretly, you thought it was an adorable photo and you knew Wednesday did too.

Swiping up, your phone unlocked and you clicked on the bright yellow Snapchat icon. You instantly clicked on Enid's pinned chat with the new snap. First thing was a picture of her with her tongue sticking out the corner of her mouth and Yoko in the background with clown makeup all over her face.

Giggling, you clicked off of it and read her small message.

Considering the loud clicking over her type writer, you knew she was still going to be at it for another twenty minutes.

| Yes! I am soooo bored. She really needs to give me attention. 😡

You added the small emoji out of dramatics and emphasis. It was clear sarcasm, you weren't mad Wednesday at all. Enid's bitmoji popped into the chat again.

| Rip. Go read my new gossip post, you'll love it.

Swiping out of the chat, you clicked onto Ajax's message. Reading it, you raised an eyebrow. Ignoring it, you swiped from the app and clicked onto Messages. Xavier's name was right at the top and you read the first part of it.

What the fuck is Enid's new post! I know you have something to do with it. Tell her to take it down, right now.

Your eyebrows furrowed as you clicked onto the message. You could hear his annoyance through the screen. You instantly typed back.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Xavier. It wasn't me!

Now, you were interested. You swiped from the app and went straight into Instagram where Enid's gossip post popped up right away.

Xavier, jealous??? We know you are obsessed with Wednesday, but this was too funny!!! 😝💀😉

Below the text was a photo of Xavier fuming while he stared at you and Wednesday in class. You were doodling on the margins of her notes and she was adding small things to your drawings while still taking notes. The sides of your heads were pressed against one another and she was adding creepy things to your cute drawings but you didn't mind.

Another small giggle left your throat as you swiped back into the messages. This was really funny. Wednesday would even find it a tad bit funny, but would never show it.

Nope, wasn't me. But that is funny! I love Enid for that.

Clicking off your phone, you tossed it down onto her bed backside up. Her bed needed some decorating anyways.

You rolled over on her plain bed, that was growing increasingly more uncomfortable from her lack of pillows and blankets. How did she sleep on this?

Now laying on your stomach, you eyed her up and down. The way her long black braids fell in front of her shoulders while she typed, her bangs hiding her eyes slightly and the giant black jacket that fell over her shoulders. Her face was emotionless as usual and her dead eyes burnt a hole in the keys. Her fingers moved without hesitation and pressed down on specific keys.

"Wednesday." You dragged out the last part of her name.

Her typing didn't falter, "What."

It wasn't much of a question but more of a deadpan, "I'm bored." You dragged it out again.

"Okay." She deadpanned again, pulling the finished sheet off the typewriter and putting a blank one in.

Groaning, you rolled off her squeaky bed and onto your feet. You slowly padded to where she was and stood behind her. Looking over her shoulder, you read the small lettering that popped above it. Ignoring your presence, she kept on writing.

"Can I play with your hair?" You muttered, know the answer would probably be a quick no.

Her typing faltered for a moment as she stopped moving her fingers, she seemed to think about it for a moment. Shifting in her seat she shook her head.

"Please?" You put your chin on the top of her head, waiting for her to give in.

"I'll break your fingers."

"Can I hug you?"

"I'll break your fingers."

"Can I read your novel?"

"I'll break your fingers."

Groaning you walked away from her and headed to the side of Enid's room. You picked up your sneakers from under her bed and slid your feet into them. Grabbing your jacket, she appeared directly in front of you.

"Where are you going?" She looked at you through her eyelashes and her arms fell perfectly at her sides.

You raised an eyebrow, "To Yoko's?"

You didn't know where you were going and you were not about to invite yourself over. You'd probably end up walking the forest and kicking stones for fun.

"No." She deadpanned, crossing her arms across her chest.

"No?" You tilted your head slightly to the side, crossing your arms back at her.

She took a step toward you, "I'll let you play with my hair when I'm finished with my chapter."

"Will you break my fingers?"

"I suppose not."

I have started a discord server for uk based streamers to make it easier to plan group streams/playing multiplayer games. There’s only a small amount of people atm and I hope that one day this can be a really useful tool for new streamer looking to make a couple streamer friends.

Petition for fandom to start using the term “squick/squicky” again

This loosely translates as “there is no fundamental problem with this and I have no issue with the people who enjoy it but it makes me personally deeply uncomfortable”

So I went to my therapist the other day, and later in the appointment I mentioned that I like to write self-insert fiction to cope. I also said that I generally hide it and felt embarrassed mentioning it due to the way people treat the concept online.

She said that self-inserting yourself into art and writing is an incredibly healthy way to feel good about yourself, and that she was appalled when I told her about the way it’s mocked on the internet.

So never feel bad about self-inserting or enjoying reader insert fanfiction, 1/1 professionals agree that it’s good for you and that the jerks who say you’re doing something wrong are just uneducated and don’t understand. Never listen to the anons who try to make you feel bad <3
