Okay to everyone saying Gladstone didn’t care about Donald in regards to the challenge:

Exhibit A:  When Toad states that Gladstone’s his chosen champion, this is the face he makes. Gladstone knows whoever goes up against him is bound to lose, and he isn’t looking particularly happy about being the reason his family gets ruined.

Exhibit B: This is the face he makes when Toad says Donald will be the challenger. He’s as horrified as the rest of the family. I mean, Donald’s pretty much doomed going off of past experiences.

Exhibit C: Again, he’s not exactly happy about the conditions of the challenge, being that the loser stays imprisoned there. He’s glaring at Toad in the top pic, and then giving Don a sympathy look in the bottom one. Gladstone’s got nothing to worry about thanks to his luck so there’s no reason for him to be upset about this except for his bad luck charm of a cousin’s potential fate.

Like yeah he smirks and acts smug and his typical jerk self for the rest of the time, but like a lot of people have already said, he’s probably thinking that maybe everything will work out okay anyway because it always has before. Either because his good luck might extend its umbrella effect out to the rest of the family for once (which is something that sometimes happens in the comics), or because he knows Scrooge and Donald are capable of getting themselves out of jams. Let’s not forget that after Scrooge tricked Toad into taking Donald at the end instead, that he was the first to speak up after Louie about what the plan was to rescue Donald.

He’s HAPPY that the kids are giving Donald some love. Sure he probably likes being the “cool uncle”, but he also wants his cousin to be happy and loved. He’s not sulking or being jealous. He’s glad his cousin is getting positive attention that he deserves.

I'm working on a mini comic series entitled "Living With a Gander" set not long after Della's disappearance, when Donald and the boys were staying with Gladstone, wanted to see how you guys liked the first one!

Basically rn the comic will have to be exploded/hj But just bcz I'm going to like write out things first and then turn everything into a comic. But there's a lot of new characters and redesigns at play :3

Some of the biggest lore changes/new additions include:

Colin!! My boy!! He's Cassidy's kid but in the realm of being a clone/made out of just magic from the void (A little pocket dimension that houses Malachite aka formerly PM (Which also hooray for her transition/silly)

D1thl's name is still D1thl bcz it's their models name but now they go by Delphi teehee :D (Also currently thinking of making their design more silly roboty and with a bit of bug aspects to it bcz I love biomimicry <3)

Quarter and Nickel are related but Penny is no longer related to them 😔 (It's for the best. Them being related caused a lot of problems- but they're also still close just not as close to each other anymore :()

RED!!! Who is basically Cloud if they were always in Hueville but child soldier working for Cassidy against their will (This child can fit so much trauma in them/hj) But its ok bcz with the power of friendship they get saved <3

Penny is more creature. This is very important/silly
