Rather Shen Yuan asked if the Shen character in Shen Jiu’s name was written in this way and Shen Jiu, who doesn’t know how his name really should be written nor does he really care to decide yet, just says yes, not yet realizing that he just confirmed he has the Shen family name…

Wu Yanzi doesn’t realize the misunderstanding until it’s too late and he’d just look like a scumbag of a father trying to deny the results of a one night spent at the brothel…

Shen Yuan transmigrated into a cultivation world which would had been super cool and all but he got stuck with a body with no ability to cultivate. As for them being a couple… erm two oblivious idiots would need a lot of prompting and special events to make them get together. I see jinwoo getting together with igris (such as in a scenario of plant sex pollen) to be far more likely than with shen yuan. Shen Yuan would be a monster fucker too… shen yuan X igris anyone?

Wait, if cultivation is needed to deal with some papapa plot and Shen Yuan and Jinwoo do the nasty, they really would just be fuck buddies that everyone else around them would think are a serious couple. Jinwoo does the listening while Shen Yuan does all the talking and ranting. Jinwoo loves his problematic blondes (Tywin and his kids) and I can see Damion thinking about ridding that immortal necromancer BUT Damion would try to kill him (Jinwoo finds it interesting and amusing, it's like a kitten biting your finger) for many reasons, no think they would last because Damion would likely do things Jinwoo doesn't approve (support with all the killing your wife thing, why don't just divorce?)

Tywin? His spider senses can detect a third part trying to seduce his husband, he wakes up at midnight and just knows it

So imagine a battle between Damion (I just killed my wife, what you going to do about that?) and Tywin (honor and family first - would kill my children to protect the family's name, don't try me), and Jinwoo just there, half of the time doesn't even know they're fighting and thinks they have a complicated relationship because, you know, Tyson kinda decided that a rebellion what's a need

Jinwoo decides to invite them to walk around the gardens, giving them the chances to reconcile

Everybody else? To them it looks like Jinwoo finds their fights over him interesting and likes to watch

Unfortunately, Shen Jiu's shizun died in the battle fighting Tianlang Jun. To bridge the gap between the generations, Shen Jiu's shizun's husband (who had been absent from the peak the whole time that Shen Jiu had been there) stepped in to carry out the Qing Jing peak lord duties and finish training the head disciple aka Shen Jiu.

That's when Shen Jiu got his first taste of parental love.

Thankfully, when the old Cang Qiong generation ascended, Shen Yuan remained behind as he wasn't officially the Qing Jing peak lord, just a substitute, and Shen Jiu got to keep his pseudo parent around longer. On the other hand, now Shen Jiu had to deal with panting gods and deities sobering over Shen Yuan... as the ascension of the Cang Qiong peak lords meant that the stories of the legendary beauty Shen Yuan was spread to even the heavens...

And honestly? Shen Jiu really wanted to know more about that insanely powerful deity dressed in black and red robes all the time. He had to be the most obsessed (and evil!) of the whole lot. His teleporting sword and abilities made it too hard for the newly named Shen Qingqiu to use the usual tactics to ward off Shen Yuan's suitors. Was he some icy river god or something? After all, this deity's name was "icy river". Maybe Shen Jiu could use fire to counteract the god's water affinity...?

Meanwhile the sexy widow in question, Shen Yuan, is just oblivious to his student's desperate fight against the dimension hopping Luo Bingge.
