Benefits of a Refrigerated Container : Power Options

         When it comes to refrigerated containers you need the power to keep it running. For that reason RAVA Group Container Services offers top of the line Generators (gensets). They are mainly used when electrical power is not available. There are certain voltage requirements the gensets have. Our refrigerated containers are dual voltage capable. They require either 230V or 460V 3-Phase power to operate. If you are utilizing a 230V power source, a dedicated 50-amp circuit is required. As well as a dedicated 25-amp circuit is required if you are using a 460V power source. We also have available a Phase converter that will allow for the units to be used in 230 1-phase power.

         There are 2 types of gensets RAVA Group offers. The first is a clip on genset, made to clip on the front of the container.  With most being about 7’ x 3’ x 2’, this will fit any container. Operated by diesel fuel, while transporting goods, makes it cost effective, considering diesel burns at a much slower rate than regular gasoline, making it last longer.

         The second type is an under mount genset. These gensets are mounted under the container chassis. They are fixed to the undercarriage of the container chassis. The under mount genset that RAVA Group offers is built and designed to run continuously. Reliable, fast, sure start, and easy to operate, these gensets put you in complete control.
