there have been a LOT of power bank recalls and safety warnings lately. this specific recall is for the anker powercore 10000 model A1263. check out CPSC recalls for more US recalls and product safety warnings. they have some really helpful search options.

This recall involves Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks with model number A1263. The brand name “Anker” is engraved on the front of the product. The model number “A1263” and serial number “SN” are printed on the bottom. Only model number A1263 power banks sold in the U.S. with qualifying serial numbers are included in the recall. Consumers should check their serial number at https://www.anker.com/product-recalls to determine whether their power bank is included in the recall. Note: Do not throw this recalled lithium-ion battery or device in the trash, in the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire. Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking your battery or device to a HHW collection center, contact it ahead of time and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact your municipality for further guidance.

really important information here. throwing lithium ion batteries in the trash or recycling can be extremely dangerous.

it is implied these were also sold outside of the US, but this specific recall only affects power banks sold in the US. if you bought one of these outside of the US, keep an eye on relevant recalls and product safety warnings.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power banks and contact Anker Innovations for instructions on receiving a free replacement power bank. Visit https://www.anker.com/product-recalls to register for the recall. To receive a replacement, consumers will be required to submit a photo of their recalled power bank showing the model number, serial number, their name, the date of the photograph, and the word “recalled” written on the power bank in permanent marker. A purchase receipt will be requested but will not be required to participate in the recall. Consumers will also be required to confirm disposal of the power bank in accordance with applicable laws and regulations before receiving a replacement.

to get a free replacement, you have to jump through a few hoops and take some very specific pictures, and then confirm that it was deposed of properly. NOT IN THE TRASH! these fuckers explode! receipts are not required.

if you have one, a metallic colored sharpie is a good option to write on the power bank. paint markers like posca should also work well here.

Incidents/Injuries: Anker has received 19 reports of fires and explosions. This includes two reports of minor burn injuries not requiring medical attention and 11 reports of property damage totaling over $60,700. over 150 items being recalled, including some intended for babies. the FDA warns that all products held or distributed by this company may be dangerous.

this recall is so bad that you need to clean and sanitize anything that has even touched the outside of these products.

June 3, 2025 On May 27, 2025, Pan-African Food Distributors initiated a recall of various products it sells. FDA continues to have concerns for all products held and distributed by Pan-African Food Distributors due to the insanitary conditions observed at the facility during a routine FDA inspection, including a rodent infestation and numerous rodent droppings on multiple product containers. FDA is advising consumers and retailers not to use, eat, sell, or serve cosmetic and food products distributed by Pan-African Food Distributors of Louisville, Kentucky. FDA is working with the firm and their direct customers to remove all products of concern from the market. More information will be provided in this alert as it becomes available.

the distribution center was inspected, the FDA found a massive rodent infestation, and they shut that shit down. literally, they found a ton of rodent shit all over the products. although the distribution center is in kentucky, these products may have been distributed nationwide.

the FDA says more updates will be issued about this. because this one is a big deal.

Products held under insanitary conditions and contaminated with filth could pose a serious health risk, potentially leading to various illnesses, including leptospirosis, hantavirus infection, salmonellosis, yersiniosis, E.coli infection, and rat-bite fever. People should contact their healthcare provider if they suspect they have developed symptoms as a result of eating or using these products.

Consumers should check their homes for food and cosmetic products distributed by Pan-African Food Distributors and discard all products. If you do not know if your product was distributed by Pan-African Food Distributors, throw it away. Additionally, consumers should carefully clean and sanitize surfaces that could have come in contact with potentially contaminated products.

FDA & CDC insist: if you are in the US and do not know where your cucumbers come from, throw them out NOW!

Bedner Growers, Inc. of Boynton Beach, Florida is voluntarily recalling cucumbers sold at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market between April 29, 2025, and May 14, 2025 because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

the cucumbers are contaminated with salmonella, and were sold between april 29th and may 14 2025.

salmonella infection usually causes illness 6 hours to 6 days after exposure, and symptoms usually last 4 to 7 days.

but there is a catch.

The recalled cucumbers were sold directly to consumers at the three Bedner’s Farm Fresh Markets locations in Florida (Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and West Palm Beach). Because the recalled cucumbers do not bear any stickers or other labeling, customers should discard and not consume any cucumbers that were purchased at these locations between April 29, 2025, and May 14, 2025. The recalled cucumbers also were sold to a wholesale distributor, which has been directed to further contact its customers with recall instructions.

the recalled cucumbers were sold directly to consumers, and also sold wholesale nationwide. they have no label. there is no way to identify if your cucumber is affected unless you know where it came from or you get contacted by where you bought it from. real fucking helpful!

illnesses have already been reported all over the country.

The cucumbers are being recalled because they have been linked by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to a Salmonella outbreak that has resulted in 26 illnesses in AL, CA, CO, FL, IL, KS, KY, MI, NC, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, and VA.

currently, 26 illnesses and 9 hospitalizations have been linked to this outbreak. these numbers are expected to rise.

the true number of people who got sick is probably much higher than this, and it takes 3-4 weeks to link any given illness to an outbreak. the CDC estimates that only 1 in 30 cases of salmonella actually gets diagnosed. as in, there may be 30 times as many infections as currently reported.

in 2024, this same grower was involved in yet another cucumber salmonella outbreak that sickened over 500 people and hospitalized over 150.

the list of where people got sick is NOT a comprehensive list of where the contaminated cucumbers were sold. these cucumbers were sold nationwide. from the CDC:

People reported buying and eating cucumbers from a variety of locations including grocery stores, restaurants, hospitals and on cruise ships. FDA's traceback investigation identified Bedner Growers Inc. as the common grower of cucumbers in this outbreak.

but here is what the FDA and CDC recommend:

If you cannot tell if your cucumber was grown by Bedner Growers, throw it away.  When eating out over the next week, ask if cucumbers were from Bedner Growers or Fresh Start Produce Sales, Inc.

finally, not everyone who got sick from the cucumbers said they actually ate cucumbers. there were likely cases of cross-contamination from food being prepared somewhere that came into contact with the contaminated cucumbers.

A Formal Apology from the Moderator of LiodenDrama

Hi everyone, I've been debating whether or not to post this for a very long time. For those of you that remember this blog, I haven't been active since the summer of 2022, when I shut the blog down. I have no intention of reactivating this salt blog. I’m here only to take full responsibility for the harm I caused and the lies I spread while running it.

Back then, I was deep in the Lioden community. I played the game obsessively, had a core group of friends who also played, and read the asks on my salt blog like it was the newspaper. The community was often toxic, and I got deeply swept up in that. As a moderator, I convinced myself I was doing good by exposing people I saw as harmful. In some instances, I even fabricated evidence to do so, and submitted it to both Lionews and my own blog. In some cases, I was absorbed in the petty drama of it all. In others, I believed I was justified because of the behavior of these people. I understand that what I did was inexcusable and wrong, and I'm posting here to clear the air to those that may have been affected by these posts.

There are two major things I want to own up to clearly:

I faked evidence that contributed to Sultry being banned. When I first entered the sphere of Lioden salt blogs, I saw how Sultry created a cult-like following, particularly among minors. Those of you who remember Sultry likely remember the clan she had where people fell over themselves to give her items and art to be admitted into her inner circle. She also had an NSFW channel where she interacted with minors. I saw her behavior was problematic and creepy, and I took it upon myself to fake evidence of her soliciting nudes from a minor. When people were conflicted about the authenticity of the evidence, I created more, pretending to be a friend of Sultry's, named "Reki". In a fabricated conversation, I made her "confess" to knowing the age of the minor she spoke to in my previous fake evidence. Sultry was inappropriate around minors, and other victims have come forward expressing their discomfort with her behavior, but I do want to make it clear that both rounds of evidence against her were faked by me. Regardless of any concerns I had, what I did was wrong, manipulative, and damaging. Another player, who was unaware of the validity of these videos, submitted them to Lioden's moderators, leading to her permanent ban.

I was behind the account that faked Agryo saying a racist slur. I didn't like how Agryo was cliquey and often rude to my friends. My personal resentment of her grew until I convinced myself she deserved to be “taken down,” and I acted on that in an unforgivable way. I faked an entire conversation with her and posted a video of it to a blog called YseraTalli. In the video, I overlaid a screenshot of her real Discord profile on top of the fake one, going frame by frame to make it look unaltered. When the legitimacy of this evidence was in question, I edited more to "prove" that it was real. This was inexcusable, and led to her quitting the game. A month after the initial post, the guilt got to me and I confessed that it was fake. I posted a video of the editing software, proving that it wasn't real. Anons on the blog didn't believe me, and I became frustrated. I claimed that the entire thing was done to "teach a lesson" because I thought it would add credibility as to why I was coming forward with the truth. Instead, it made people more hesitant to believe my confession. In reality, it was never about proving a lesson; I had a grudge against her, which was not excusable. To prove that I am indeed @YseraTalli, I will reblog this to that blog as well.

If I can post anything additional as proof of either of these fabrications, please let me know.

In the years since then, I've done a lot of work on myself. I've gone to therapy; not just for my Lioden actions, but for my overall behavior. I grew up in an environment that led me to act out in ways that I didn't even understand were acting out until I learned how to self reflect. This is in no way an excuse for my behavior, and I am still working on improving myself. A valuable step I've made over the past 3 years is learning to take accountability and apologize for my actions, which I am intending to do with this post. To the Lioden community, I am sorry for the ways in which I misled you and fabricated stories against individuals. I want to be a person who spreads kindness and contributes to supportive spaces, not ones like these. I am deeply sorry for the hurt that I've caused. I understand that posting this will likely surprise some people, or confuse them. Most of the current Lioden community wasn’t even around when all of this happened. Many of the people involved have moved on, and newer players won’t know the names or context. This post is not meant to reignite anything. It’s not meant to drag up old drama. I know it’s strange to bring something like this back up after years, but the guilt of these actions never really left me. I felt like I couldn’t move forward without being fully honest—even if no one was asking anymore.

I’ve already directly apologized and shared my account ID numbers with several people involved in situations discussed here. I chose not to include them in this initial post because I believe doing so would shift focus away from the actual harm done and towards me as an individual. This post is about clearing up fabrications, especially those involving Agryo. I’m not trying to hide or avoid consequences, I’m trying to keep the spotlight on those I hurt. That said, if even one directly affected person believes that seeing my account ID posted publicly would help them trust this apology or feel closure, I will absolutely post it in a follow-up. I mean that. I do not care about my reputation on Lioden as much as I care about making those I harmed feel closure. If that applies to you, please don't hesitate to reach out. And if anyone can contact Agryo, I hope she’ll get in touch with me directly.

I will be submitting a link to this to Lionews, since this account has been inactive for 3 years. I won’t be replying to asks, as I’m standing by my decision to step away from salt blogs and the cycles they create. the way news outlets are reporting on the FDA advisory about contaminated tattoo inks is fucking atrocious. I stopped looking at them because they made me so mad.

the main risk of getting a tattoo with ink contaminated with pseudomonas aeruginosa is the risk of scarring

and the FDA was not much help with making their advisory clear either. that whole fucking thing about "Commonly reported symptoms of tattoo-ink-associated infections include appearance of rashes or lesions consisting of red papules in areas where the contaminated ink has been applied. Some tattoo infections can result in permanent scarring."
