Caitriona did not call her fans - those crazies—in the VF interview. By the crazies she meant the stalkers, hater, extreme shipper and trolls. All those who feel addressed and are upset about, belong exactly to these groups in the fandom.

Now, do you play the offended and are upset about it? You've called her a lot worse and now that Cait hits back, are you crying? Caitriona decides what and how much she says publicly, you do not decide! Just because she's private doesn't mean she can't mention her son or husband.
