16 year old, Rayne Portman is just like any teen girl. She grew up with almost too real fairytales her grandfather told and a nice family in the suburban-rich area of Florida with her awkward twin brother. Her life really wasn’t much to get excited over. The most exciting parts were when Ricky would mess with Jacob or the small underground wannabe raves some of the teens threw. She had always dreamed of more, some adventure and even danger at times. Maybe she dreamed too hard because one day it all came true in a series of life changing events.

The two were a special type of peculiar. Not only could they see the monsters that have been hunting peculiars, they were connected. They’re two sides of the same coin. Their powers linked.

Jacob was able to see the monsters while Rayne was able to sense them. Their presence, intentions, and proximity.

However, when the two were nearby their peculiarities were stronger. Jacob can get glimpses of the hollow before they’re near and sometimes Rayne can even see the hollows. The same applies but in reverse if they’re apart.

Eventually, they will be able to learn to harness their peculiarity together and control the hollows.

Ymbrynes are fascinated by the way the peculiarity was split between the two. Especially since their grandfather had the same ability but all in one person.

Some ymbrynes theorized that the connection between them is why the power didn’t fully manifest in just one of them— it was meant to balance between the two cause it would’ve been too much for one person to bear.

i always see people on here writing their dr intros in third person and i try to do the same because i think from a like reading standpoint to others it’ll make more sense but oh my god does it feel weird 😭😭 like why am i talking abt myself in third person wtf

Gustav Schäfer | He’s Bill’s personal guard. He’s reserved and funny.

Prince Wace | He’s the Prince of Bryneich (shhh totally didn’t just google ‘kingdom names). He sort of cocky and arrogant but he can be kind in his own way.

Lance Hawthorn | He’s a thief, think like Robin Hood in a way. He’s rebellious, sneaky but still has morals.

Kate Arundel | She’s a nobles daughter in Aestasia and one of my lady-in-waiting’s. She’s very strict and frigid in a ways but still kind.

Mary Lynn Arundel | She’s Kate’s younger sister and lady-in-waiting. She’s gossipy, aloof, and sassy.

Jocasta Chatham | She’s also a noble and surprise! A lady-in-waiting. She’s intelligent, fun and serious at times but not as much as Kate’s.

Lilibeth de Vere | She’s also a noble and lady-in-waiting. She’s sweet, squeamish and worries a lot.

Germaine Stone | She’s the youngest lady-in-waiting, being 17 and also dreams of being a knight. She is rebellious, spontaneous, and ambitious.

Fabian Dacre | He’s the guards second hand man. He’s talented, ambitious and determined.

Althea Lenox | She’s my personal guard. She’s very whimsy and reserved and can often be found day dreaming.

Carmen Hastings | She’s my other personal guard. She’s very serious and determined.

Gwendolyn Montague | She’s my other personal guard and has been since I was a child. She’s quiet, reserved and very calculated.
