Survivor Second Chance Power Rankings
1. Jeremy - I have been very impressed with Jeremy’s game so far. He is in the majority alliance at Bayon post swap and now he has an idol in his back pocket which no one knows about. Not to mention he is smartly keeping his options open by building a relationship with Spencer. This guy is in for the long hall and he has come to play.
2. Ciera - I know this high ranking is going to be surprising. However, she is on a tribe that is seemingly poised to never go to tribal thanks to MacGyver Joe and even if they do lose she is in the majority alliance of Ta Keo. This girl proved in Blood vs Water that she is a strong strategic player and she has seemingly taken this target off her back which is impressive.
3. Joe - At this point in the game I just don’t see a scenario where he is voted off. He is way too much of an asset in challenges. However, once this merge hits he could be in for a lot of trouble like in Worlds Apart.
4. Keith - Lets face it Keith is going nowhere anytime soon. He is on the strong Ta Keo tribe and quite frankly who is going to view him as a threat with his lack of strategic prowess. I could easily see him making it as far as he did in San Juan Del Sur.
5. Kass - Nothing pleases me more then to put Kass this high in my rankings. Everyone thought she would be the fist one out this season and I prayed for a different fate. She has had a near perfect start by building strong relationships with her castaways and being on strong tribes. Only reason she isn’t higher is because the “Chaos Kass” branding will always be in the back of other players minds.
6. Kimmy - Not a threat whatsoever and in the majority alliance of Bayon
7. Monica - Purple Monica has been non-existent on my television screen. However, she is in the majority alliance of Bayon like Kimmy. She could be perceived as a liability in challenges and a flirt like Parvati which could be her undoing.
8. Kelly - While Wigglesworth is in the minority alliance of Bayon her lack of regard for strategy could help her survive. She is also a strong asset in challenges.
9. Kelley - I really like Wentworth and I have been impressed by her aggressive gameplay. However, I worry that her constant attempts to throw Terry under the bus could come back to bite her. Also Kass and Ciera seem to recognize her as a threat. But....she has an idol which is always a blessing!
10. Terry - I think Terry suffers from a lack of awareness. He feels he is playing a great social game yet I can’t help but feel he is way behind the strategic prowess of the players in this game. He is also happy with a tribe swap which puts him in a minority alliance which makes little sense to me. I get that he is on a strong tribe but these immunity challenges sometimes result from luck.
11. Stephen - I really am rooting for Fishbach but this edit he is receiving is making him seem too strategic and useless around camp. I also have this gut feeling Jeremy would vote him out in a second. Maybe even before Spencer and Kelly. I wouldn’t fault Jeremy for this decision.
12. Spencer - Spencer always seems to be in not desirable scenarios. Starting the game on a losing tribe where he was on the outs and now on a tribe where he is in a minority alliance. Luckily he is on a tribe that will probably keep winning thanks to Angkor’s chaos. Also his relationship with Jeremy could buy him some time.
13. Savage - Savage and Tasha’s gameplay this week to lead the charge on voting out Peih-Gee was impressive. It is hard to predict the future of Angkor with all the chaos. However, I feel Savage is in the best position. He is currently in the driver seat and if he and Tasha are targeted Tasha will go first.
14. Woo - For some reason I just don’t see Woo going anywhere. He is strategically lacking and he is a loyal number. I could definitely see Savage scooping him up
15. Tasha - Tasha really impressed me this week. She stayed calm in a seemingly awful position and turned things around. However, I fear that Abi-Maria could turn on her easily and that Varner will try to take her out.
16. Varner - Varner has shown that he is constantly strategizing so I could see Tasha and Savage wanting him out before Woo. Also Abi-Maria is so unpredictable and Woo has lost trust in Varner so its not looking good.
17. Abi-Maria - I really can't stand this girl. She is great TV but she plays so emotionally. None of the decisions she makes are strategic. The chaos/drama she generates could finally catch up with her and the rest of Angkor might just snuff her torch.

Amazing Race Power Rankings Top 5
1. Zev and Justin - By far my favorite team left in the game. They have been on a winning streak lately and I can see them winning the game. Only a big blunder (cough cough passport) will take them out
2. Kisha and Jen - They are a consistently strong team. They really have impressed me. I see them in the finale
3. Globetrotters - They have proven that they are not as strong a team as a few years ago. They keep making mistakes and those mistakes will add up eventually.
4. Gary and Mallory - I am shocked they have made this far. They will make a big blunder soon. There just not at the caliber of the globetrotters, the sisters, and Zev and Justin
5. Kynt and Vyxsin - They are extremely entertaining but their time will come soon. Team pink's luck will run out. They will probably get lost or Kynt will struggle in a road block because he has no masculinity.

Survivor Redemption Island Rankings Final 10
1. Rob - He is playing a flawless game. Still has an idol and is controlling everyone. He should have a clear shot to the finals. The only question is who is he going to take.
2. Natalie - Rob's right hand woman. She is not remotely a threat and will probably make it to the end
3. Philip - He is insane and has no shot at winning the game and Rob sees it. He is not going anywhere anytime soon
4. Ashley - Rob said at one point that he was going to take her before the final tribal so why not now. Her mouth could get her into trouble and Rob could want her gone because she's pretty good in challenges and has a close relationship with Natalie.
5. Grant - Rob maybe his close friend for the time being but I can so see Grant being the Tom of this season. He's Rob biggest threat for winning the money.
6. Andrea - I like her a lot but she is in a tough spot. The girls don't like her and Rob and Grant want her gone. Her only hope is Rob realizes how big a threat Grant is and a possible immunity win.
7. Mike - Appears to be very focussed and has been strong in challenges and duels. I could definitely see him coming back into the game and go on an immunity run
8. Ralph - I just have this got feeling that he will survive next week duel and end Matt's run. He has been tough in challenges but probably won't make the end of the game
9. Matt - Definitely impressive how many duels he's won. His time is coming though. He has lost his competitive spirit and faces a tough challenge in Mike and Ralph
10. Steve - A huge disappointment from my opinion. Has absolutely no shot on Redemption Island

Survivor Redemption Island Power Rankings Final 12
1. Andrea - Officially she is in the best position. She can finally make the big moves she's wanted. She will have Matt and Philip in her back pocket and can join Zapatera to take out Rob and his alliance or she can be safe and stay with Ometepe. Either way she is in a great position.
2. Philip - I can't believe I'm putting him at 2 but he also is in a great position. He is a wild card and could make some big moves. He can finally stop talking about taking out Rob and do it. I also think he will align with Matt and Andrea.
3. Matt - Coming off Redemption Island tons of people will want his vote. Zapatera will do all in their power to flop him and Rob will lie and pretend they had miscommunication when he was voted out. Plus he will reunite with Andrea and Philip will align with him because of how much Matt has impressed him.
4. Natalie - She is weak as can be and will be the last one targeted in her alliance. Also I have a weird feeling that Andrea, Matt, and Philip will take some of out first.
5. Ashley - The beauty queen won't be targeted come merge time unless the other tribe figures out Rob has an idol which I don't think they will. Grant and Rob will be targeted before her.
6. Grant - I think Grant is playing a great game. He is athletic, likeable, and has Rob on his side. Rob could turn on him towards the end but he is in the clear for now unless Rob wins immunity.
7. Rob - He faces his toughest challenge yet. However he could win immunity plus he has a hidden immunity idol in his pocket. He has the biggest likelihood of going home from Ometepe. Philip, Andrea, and Matt probably could be ready for their revenge.
8. David - Zapatera could regret voting Sarita out. She was definitely loyal and now David probably will flip. He is a smart guy. He will be targeted last on Zapatera and maybe move ahead of Philip, Matt, and Andrea if he plays his cards right.
9. Ralph - I feel like he will not be the first booted from the Zapatera four. Ometepe knows he has an idol and won't risk voting for him. However, who he gives it to could put a spin on things. Also he comes across as stupid
10. Steve - He is not all together too strong but could be voted for to flush out the idol. However I think he will survive a few votes.
11. Julie - Ometepe could gun for her because they know Ralph has an idol and she is the least likely person they would vote for.
12. Mike - Boston Rob has a history for gunning for athletic males. He fits that criteria. He will be seen as a threat and Ometepe will try to flush out Ralph's idol by picking a different target.
13. Sarita - Let's face it the girl sucks in challenges. I don't care how much CBS edits it to make it look like Matt will lose. She has no athletic bone in her body and her mind is long out of the game.

Survivor Redemption Island Episode 2 Recap
This season continues to not disappoint especially at tribal council.
Philip is just flat out insane there is no other way to put it. The guy went crab hunting... and still refuses to not wear Courntey Yate's underwear. Honestly the guy is a loon and there is no doubt that he is entertaining but I can't wait for him to go.
I can't believe how easy it was to find the hidden immunity idol. Honestly Ralph probably didn't know what a hidden immunity idol was and just found one when "he was gathering rocks." Who gathers rocks? lol. The funnier part though was Russell attempting to find it and relying on that to stay in the game. Russell there is a formula to success in Survivor and having an alliance of 3 and constantly looking for idols is not it. Sure he made it to the end twice but the first time he played with amateurs and the second time the players didn't see him play and Tyson was an absolute idiot.
The fight between Ralph and Russell was hilarious to me because both of them have no chance of winning. Also I don't know what Ralph was thinking arguing with Russell. You found the idol and should just keep your mouth shut. Mike also was hilarious the guy clearly has no clue how to play the game. Russell is not going to share the hidden immunity idol clue with you. Get real! Like Sandra said its not the community idol.
The challenge was a bummer for me because Ometepe did so well but lost because of Philip. I don't know what they were thinking saving him for last. I hands down would have put Rob there because he's great under pressure.
Tribal council was a huge blindside but in my opinion it wasn't necessary. Matt was in Rob's alliance and showed no signs of coming after him. Ok so he got close to Andrea. Big deal. There not going to work with Kristina and Philip. Also Philip and Kristina would never work together again.
I am so excited for next weeks duel. I can't wait to see the format of it and I hope Francesca pulls off the upset.

Survivor Redemption Island Premiere Recap
Wow! This season has started off really well. This one episode single handedly was better than all last season.
Going into this season I was skeptical of having Rob and Russell back again but they definitely add something to the game. Having them around definitely has made the new players step up their games.
Redemption Island is an interesting twist. It could either be awesome or a huge fail. Lets face it Survivor twists over the recent years have been horrible. I mean I will never forget these three words MEDALLION OF POWER. Lol.
The two tribes have some great characters and players.
Ometepe: I am shocked to see how quickly the tribe fell in love with Boston Rob. It was like all he had to do was smile once and he had 5 people aligned with him like that. Kristina also stood out when she found the idol so quickly. However while it is great that she found the idol I think she handled it all wrong. She should never have told others and should have tried to get in with Rob and not stand out as a strong player. Its too early in the game to try to make a bold move like voting out Rob. I came into this season thinking I would hate Francesca but she is hilarious especially when it comes to making fun of Philip. Philip is a nut job. I have never seen a player like him. In my opinion he overtakes Coach as the craziest player ever. At least Coach seemed somewhat sane.
Zapatera: We didn't get to see them as much but they have Russell so this tribe is bound to be interesting. I love how Russell has been pinned by everybody already. Everyone on that tribe wants him gone so at this point Russell's only hope is an immunity run by his tribe so he can try to build alliances and find idols! I don't understand why Russell always work with just young women. He instantly aligned himself with Stephenie which I saw coming. However, Stephenie seems pretty intelligent so we'll have to wait and see. If she were smart she would pull away from Russell and work with the rest of her tribe to get rid of him.
Immunity: I'm going to just say this that challenge was rigged. Completely in favor of Zapatera. I mean come on, Ometepe had 5 women and Zapatera had 6 men. No that wasn't a typo. Julie is ripped and has the physique of a man.
Tribal Council: This was one of the best tribals every. It was so entertaining. Definitely best first tribal ever. I can't believe how stupid Philip was. He blabbed that his alliance was trying to get rid of Rob and that Kristina had an idol. What the hell was he thinking! So what if Francesca said that Rob wouldn't go, she was lying! She wanted a blind side either for Rob or Natalie. Come on Philip! I thought it was hilarious he couldn't say Francesca. Its not that hard to say. Kristina had balls. I can't believe she didn't play her idol. That was really risky. I felt really bad for Francesca. She shouldn't have gone home. However, it was her own fault for ostracizing herself with Kristina.
Lets hope Francesca can pull through at Redemption but its not looking too good at this point for her.

The Biggest Loser Ep 2 "What they lack in strength they have in heart"
The Biggest Loser this week started off with yet another twist. If the players on ranch lost more weight than the unknowns than they would get $10,000 and all have immunity. Instantly I thought the teams on the ranch had it in the bag because they had something to really work for.
Then I quickly changed my tune after watching the challenge. The unknowns DESTROYED them. The ranch players were so disorganized and had absolutely no clue what they were doing. But then again the other team had a clear advantage because they had practically all men while the ranch had all small women and the biggest person ever on the biggest loser.
The Unknowns tactics were so annoying the entire episode. They sent videos to intimidate and sent donuts. Really?! Also I am really annoyed that they are barely showing the unknown players along with the trainers. The other group seems interesting too and their stories should be shared. Also all over the internet you can find the identities of the two trainers so why are they keeping it a secret for two 2 hr episodes.
Bob really pushed all the players to their breaking point pre weigh in. Allison Sweeney said at the weigh in that the unknowns destroyed the ranch players the week before which pissed Bob off instantly and he said that when she says something like that he wants to run up the stairs of the scale. I was proud of Bob because he showed loyalty and didn't take Allison Sweeney's crap. She clearly has no clue what the players have to go through and has no right to say that. Bob also said what they lacked in strength they had in heart and compared his contestants to David taking on Goliath which was pretty accurate in my opinion.
The weigh in was pretty nerve racking because Black and Purple didn't do so well. Also the entire time they focused on Arthur, the biggest contestant and how cocky he was they would win. So I though oh God! They are setting the episode up for Arthur to be the last to weight in and fail miserably. I was partially right because he was the last one to weigh in with his father but he lost a ton of weight and the ranch players won!
So far I am liking this cast. There are a lot of likable characters. Courtney in particular stands out because she seems genuine and reached a big mile stone this week when she officially was out of the 300s. She use to be 400 ibs and it is inspiring what she has done.
Until next week when we finally find out who these mystery trainers are.....even though I already known!

Biggest Loser 11 Premiere
Biggest Loser 11 premiered last name with a big twist. Two new trainers... But get this we don't get to see the trainers the entire episode lol. I also heard online that their not going to be revealed until the third episode. What! This is ridiculous. I think its really stupid in the sense that we can't get to know the other 5 teams along with the unknown trainers. Viewers won't get to know them as quickly and probably will never have as big a connection with them as Bob and Jillian and their contestants.
This cast really intrigues me i like pretty much everybody. A few contestants usually stand out that I can't stand and unfortunately these people usually make the end (cough cough patrick, frado). I am so excited that Rulon is on this season. The fact he was an olympic athlete and quickly hit rock bottom shows that it can happy to anyone. He has a competitive drive and I hope he makes it far. The purple team also stuck out for me, especially Olivia. She was the opera singer. I don't really know why but I like her. The green team seems to be a strong team as well. Jennifer seems to be the next Tarra. She has a drive and I am calling her to make the final three right now. Arthur, the biggest contestant ever, you can't help but like. He has a long way too go and hopefully he'll be able to lose 300 ibs but its going to take a long time!
I usually hate the black team on every season of the biggest loser. But the identical twins seem genuine and the underdogs. You can't help but root for them. And finally the brand new aqua team. Courtney is definitely my favorite this season. She has a great work ethic  and she reminds me a lot of Kristen from season 7. She lost 100 ibs pre game! That is crazy. I completely agree with Bob she could be around for a long time.
The weigh in was pretty shocking to me. The blue team in particular. Arthur lost roughly 30 ibs and his father only lost 7! Come on dude it is the first week. Your suppose to lose the most weight on the ranch week 1. He needs to pick up his game if he wants to stay there and especially for his son, who desperately needs to be there. The orange team wound up falling bellow the yellow line and to be honest I didn't really care. They were probably one of my least favorite teams there. However, I thought Irene, the daughter, had potential so I was hoping her annoying mother would go home. And thank god she did! This season has started off pretty strong but for the love of god reveal who those trainers are soon!
Also I think it is really disappointing that this is Jillian Michael's last season of the show. The show will suffer with her exit.

The Apprentice 10 Finale Part II
I thoroughly enjoyed this season of the Apprentice because it wasn't a celebrity edition. Don't get me wrong I love the celebrity editions as well but they are completely different. The regular seasons are more intense because the contestants want and need a job. They are not doing it for charity. It is more cutthroat and the boardrooms are much more interesting.
The finale shocked me for a few reasons. The main one was both Brandy's and Clint's tasks seemed to run smoothly. The only hiccup was Brandy's prize for the winning golf team (more golf clubs...lol). However, Liza was responsible for this so Trump let it slide.
The final boardroom also shocked me because pretty much every candidate in the room besides Mahsa and Steurt said Brandy should be the apprentice. I never realized that the other contestants shared my dislike for Clint as well! This proved to be a pleasant surprise.
Donald Trump gave both Brandy and Clint one last chance to tell him why they should be the apprentice. Brandy's approach was smart because she didn't give one of those stupid bs answers about how hard she would work for him. She told him that she would love to get to know the Trumps personally and that she felt she had proven what a great asset she would be to the organization. Clint gave a boring speech which I can't even remember. That's how bad it was. He probably used the word "yall" though lol.
Brandy also revealed that she would love to work with the younger generation in the Trump organization because she felt they were the future. She also did a great job buttering Donald's ego by saying he was an icon but a future generation is coming. Clint said he wanted to work for Trump closely anywhere he was needed. This was a boring answer and proved to be the nail in the coffin for Clint.
Donald hired Brandy and I was so excited. She is very intelligent and has a great future ahead of her. I thought it was awkward this season they didn't have a live finale but I guess this is understandable considering the low ratings. I really hope another non-celebrity season will come back next fall but its not looking too good at the moment.

ahouseoflies:
We live in a no-brow* culture in which everything that used to be bad for you is now normal. While reality TV used to be the refuge of airheads and teenagers, now everyone has his fix. Saying you don’t watch reality TV is akin to saying that you don’t eat candy: It’s probably not true, and what are you pretending to be so ascetic and grown-up for anyway? Every Wednesday I curl up with my wife and watch MTV’s The Challenge: Cutthroat. Because of the structure of the challenges and the condensed time period the show captures, I feel as if it gets momentum going toward an obvious, satisfying endpoint. You’re not just watching manufactured conflict play out in contrived scenarios, although there are dashes of that as well. You still get more than enough young people behaving badly. And after having watched all the different incarnations of the previous challenges, not to mention the original Real World and Road Rules seasons the participants are culled from, I feel as if I know them, however naive that sounds. Over the past few seasons, the challenges have gotten more intense, and the history the people share adds extra weight to the proceedings. It’s gone from guilty pleasure to legitimately exhilarating entertainment. Wifey isn’t as enthusiastic about the show, but she’ll watch it. What has recently become problematic for her is my interest in one of the competitors: Laurel, pictured above. To explain, my wife is not the type of jealous, over-protective girl who doesn’t want me looking at other women. She’s actually quite understanding of my week-long obsessions with boos, with my spelunking of the Internet for the finest in celebrity candids. Honestly, I’m probably not as delicate with these things around her as I should be. She doesn’t bat an eye when I describe the perverse, borderline evil things I would do to Zooey Deschanel. (I just thought of three, though I’m afraid to see them in print.) But I’m slowly learning her limits—my wife’s, that is—and those limits might be one Laurel Stucky (yeah, research). I have trouble understanding the world around me sometimes, but I’ve never had trouble understanding myself. I have a specific type when it comes to females. (Cosmo does have something on my selection.) I like brunettes, petite but zaftig, even unrealistically so. I like a round face with huge, saucer-like doe-eyes—probably because huge peepers project an innocence that I sub-consciously and misogynistically believe the modern woman lacks. And it helps if she’s pale yet has a lot of natural color in her face, creating  a contrast with a blush that, again, projects a modesty and honesty that I sub-consciously believe the modern woman lacks. And of course my mom was a blushing brunette and—but hey, we’re talking about The Challenge here, not me. My wife is well-aware of my tendencies—she has a lot of those qualities herself—so she knows what to expect. She even has fun with it now, entering a room with, “So you probably like that Zoe Kazan chick, right?” That’s why she hates that I’m interested in Laurel: It doesn’t make any sense. I might as well be saying: “You know that girl I’m friends with? I decided to fuck her. Everything you know is wrong.” Although she is a pale brunette, Laurel is the antithesis of what I look for usually. She has a tall, athletic body and a long face with a high hairline. (Although she does move her mouth in a weird way when she talks, a midwestern detail I’m fond of.) And it’s not as if I admire her as a person. She probably has the most odious personality on the show: At every stop she is petty, selfish, and cutting. She really shouldn’t have said all of those mean things to Big Easy in the hot tub, am I right? Am I attracted to Laurel because she’s dominating and confident? That doesn’t sound like me. Am I attracted to her because she’s “real”? Because I objectify her anyway. She’s an ice princess, when I normally go for the girl-next-door. What does all of this mean? Am I trying to subvert my own expectations? Am I changing as a person? In the end, I don’t really know why I like her either, which is what really bothers my wife. I’m not the type of person who can’t articulate these things, so, if I can’t intellectualize this away, does that mean it’s somehow important? Just how predictable am I? Wifey ends up attaching some significance about who I am and what she is to me from this show in which the red team tries to push the blue team into a pit. I don’t know what the point of all this was; but I’m beginning to feel ashamed by a part of my personality so elemental that I can’t control it, and I’m trying to suppress it to protect another person. Maybe that’s what real love is. So what am I trying to be so grown-up about? *- This is John Seabrook’s term, from his troubling book of the same name, which has its moments but is not a substantial enough premise to merit a whole book.

The Apprentice Finale Part I
It is down to the wire on the non Celebrity Apprentice. In this episode Liza, the woman who had about 10 lives during the show finally got fired. I think Donald Trump clearly made the right decision here because Clint and Brandy were stronger players. I am rooting hard now for Brandy to win the entire show. She is intelligent and has a drive which I think could land her the job. While Clint has proven to be a strong player his voice is irritating and like Steuart said an episode before I can't see him working in New York.
Donald Trump gave both candidates their final task. Brandy wound up with overseeing a VIP golf tournament while Clint had to mange a Liza Minnelli concert. The candidates also got some former candidates to help them. Brandy's team consisted of Liza, Stephenie, and Anand (the cheater!). Clint had on his team Mahsa (OMG), Steuart, and Poppy. Immediately Mahsa stuck out to me because she is crazy! She is loud, obnoxious, and I don't care what she says she did lie in the boardroom when she got fired. She went on and on in her confessional about how Clint doesn't believe in Jesus. It was weird. I know she doesn't like Clint but bringing Jesus into it. Really.
Well anyway back to the task. The things that stuck out to me were that Brandy had no clue about golf. She never played before. This could and will be a major problem for her. Luckily she has Liza on her team who apparently played for Kenya in golf! I never saw that coming. However Liza was stupid in a sense because she picked golf clubs to be the prizes for the winners of the tournament. Seriously. These are rich people who already have the nicest golf clubs possible. Liza should have bought gift cards like Brandy (the head of the task!) said. Then Donald Trump chose to play with Liza in the golf event which takes away Brandy's expert during the task. Also the last few minutes we learn that her photographer went to the wrong golf course which is 2 hrs away! Yikes! That's a big problem. On Clint's team everything seemed to be running smoothly until we discover that Clint spelled Liza Minnelli's name wrong on the programs and signs!! This will be extremely expensive to fix and I don't know what he can do to dig himself out of this hole.
Till next week
Go Brandy!
