Highs and Lows

Low. People will go as low as they can to make you sink further than the soil beneath your feet. People will make you suffer until you feel the need to be buried because you couldn't take the criticism or humiliation. High. The anxieties soar when you are ditched, because someone decided to talk one "higher" on their social list than you. The depression skyrockets when you realize in the back of your mind that when you felt like you had confidence in a person, you really weren't good enough for them. Purgatory. This earth we live in, it's neither heaven or hell, but it seems to have more demons than angels, snakes than lovable creatures. We even have to choose between Lucifer or his top demon to lead our country because the ignorance couldn't swallow its pride to do something right. Depression. When the people fail you, and it seems the whole world fails you, and you don't feel good enough for even that one person you love, Remember that they will always be Oasis. The place you feel safe and alive, the light warms your face, and you never want to leave. The place where you can call home and know it could never fail you.
