International Day of Social Justice: DLSA Reasi organises awareness camp at Reasi Reasi, February 20: District Legal Services Authority Reasi in collaboration with District Social Welfare Department organized an Awareness Camp today on 20th of February 2021 under the Chairmanship of Kamlesh Pandit Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge Reasi) at Gadal Reasi on “International Day of Social Justice”. The theme of this year’s World Social Justice Day is social justice in the digital economy. On 17 Feb late evening, input was received from reliable source regarding suspicious activity in the remote dense jungle of Makkhidar in Reasi Distt. These warlike stores were spread over large area in remote uninhabited forests of Makkhidhar forest in Reasi Distt. Persistent and coordinated efforts of joint search by Indian Army and JKP duly supported by local int units has led to successfully unearth huge cache of weapons and war like stores. Terrorists are in acute shortage of weapons & are desperate to try and disrupt peace and development being embraced by the people of the region after am extremely successful DDC election process. Reasi district has had the highest polling percentage of more than 80 percent during this DDC elections setting a record for the country. *Jammu Airport to remain closed for 15 days from March 5* JAMMU: Indian Air Force has written to the authorities of Jammu airport as well as the airlines operating their flights from and to Jammu airport for the closure of the runway for the period of 15 days. In its communication to Airport Authorities and Airlines, Senior Air Traffic Controller has written that the complete closure of runway at Jammu for 15 days towards laying of final two top DAC-II layers on runway surface has been approved by Air HQ from March 6 to March 20 and the same has been intimated to ED (Operations) Airport Authority of India, New Delhi. The letter titled, "Complete closure of runway for overlay of DAC-II layer: 06 Mar to 20 Mar 21" has also been sent to the airline operators which are having their flights operational from and to Jammu airport. Acting on this communication from Senior Air Traffic Controller, a majority of the airlines have already stopped booking the tickets for the said dates. On the daily basis, Jammu airport has more than 20 operational flights with over 3000 travellers. Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir BVR Subrahmanyam has written to Secretary, Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation against the decision and asking them to carry out resurfacing in such a manner that civilian air traffic is not affected during the day time. In his letter, J&K Chief Secretary has also said that closure of operations will create huge administrative issues for the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Acting on the communication from J&K Government, Ministry of Civil Aviation also wrote to the Ministry of Defence for intervention. Three militant associates of Hizb arrested in Tral, IED material recovered: Police Awantipora, : Police on Wednesday said that they have arrested three militant associates of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. “Acting on specific information of militant movement, Awantipora Police along with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF launched search operation in village Batagund and Dadsara Tral. During search operation one militant module of three associates of proscribed outfit Hizb-ul–Mujahideen was arrested.
