या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ सिद्धिदात्री रूपेण संस्थिता ।

नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नम: ॥

शक्ति की सर्वोच्च देवी माँ आदि-पराशक्ति, भगवान शिव के बाएं आधे भाग से सिद्धिदात्री के रूप में प्रकट हुईं। माँ सिद्धिदात्री अपने भक्तों को सभी प्रकार की सिद्धियों को प्रदान करती हैं। यहां तक ​​कि भगवान शिव ने भी देवी सिद्धिदात्री की सहयता से अपनी सभी सिद्धियां प्राप्त की थीं। माँ सिद्धिदात्री केवल मनुष्यों द्वारा ही नहीं बल्कि देव, गंधर्व, असुर, यक्ष और सिद्धों द्वारा भी पूजी जाती हैं। जब माँ सिद्धिदात्री शिव के बाएं आधे भाग से प्रकट हुईं, तब भगवान शिव को र्ध-नारीश्वर का नाम दिया गया।
