Invader Arcs is a group of roleplaying blogs that basically make up little episodes of their own to play out! It’s basically fanfics but real time and less elaborate/cohesive(?), as different characters do different things and will include what they’re doing in tags instead of stating them in their replies, because their replies are just the conversations. Hope this helped!

GIR was needing repairs after Arc Breakdown, and the Tallests sent some actually functional parts, that GIR was repaired with during interlude. In the Camping Arc, GIR begins to function as a proper SIR unit, and is named MIR to differentiate between the two very different robots!

OH, MAN i hope youre okay with a lengthy answer. ive been meaning to make this for a while.

HOW TO GET CAUGHT UP ON INVADER ARCS: A MASTERPOST

first off, heres a list of all the arcs in order, complete with a lil spoiler-free summary!

PARTY ARC: gir throws a house party! chaos ensues.

TRUTH ARC: in this continuation of the party arc, the kids find out something they weren’t supposed to know. chaos ensues.

[note about the truth arc: this arc was retconned—it still exists, but in canon, the events no longer happened, as professor membrane used time travel to prevent the truth from being revealed. the timeline was reset to before the house party.]

DINNER ARC: professor membrane invites zim and gir over for dinner, and dib is furious. chaos ensues.

AMNESIA ARC (ARC A): dib smacks zim right in the PAK with a frying pan. chaos ensues.

OUIJA ARC (ARC B): to wind down after recent stressful events, the kids, zim, and gir decide to hang out and try using a ouija board. chaos ensues.

INTERLUDE B: professor membrane, dib, and tak’s ship have to work together to repair gir. chaos ensues.

CAMPING ARC (ARC C): professor membrane decides to take the kids, zim, gir, and keef on a camping trip to relax and unwind after everything that’s been going on. chaos ensues.

SPIRAL ARC: zim brought home a collection of ants, all individually named, from the camping trip, and decides he wants to use his small army of ants to piss people (aka dib) off. chaos ensues.

TONGUE TWISTER ARC: zim decides to take duolingo’s spanish course so he can insult dib in his first language. chaos ensues.

BLURRY ARC: dib’s old glasses broke, and he remembers seeing a pair of spares in the garage, so he goes to get them. chaos ensues.

CAT RETURNS ARC: the kids wake up to find that an extremely affectionate robotic cat has moved in overnight. chaos ensues.

TELEPHONE ARC: dib snaps. chaos ensues. (this is the current arc as of 9/16/19)

that’s all the arcs up to the current moment! now, as for how to read them:

@recapkid-arcs is currently working on building an archive of all the interactions from each arc! they are reblogging posts in backwards order so that when you look up the tag on their blog, you can just start at the top and scroll down, and everything will be in chronological order. however, as the blog is fairly new, only the first three arcs are present on their blog at the moment.

for the arcs after the first three, i recommend catching up on dib’s blog, @/paranormal-eyes . it has most of the interactions for a lot of the arcs logged on it. if you feel like you dont quite have the full picture of a certain arc yet after going through dib’s blog, though, you can check out the logs for each arc on all of the other blogs. the main cast is @/normalboyzim (zim), @/gamerwednesdayaddams (gaz), @/science-man (professor membrane), and @/rawrxdtakos (gir). other notable characters are @/taksshipis-tired (tak’s ship / taki), @/zimsbestfriend (keef), @/1nv4d3r-sk00dg3 (skoodge), @/maxnormalboy (max), @/greatest-would-be-invader (tak), and @/a-sp3c (spec). i also recommend checking out @/rltallestred and @/rltallestpurple, the blogs for the two tallest, but they tend to stay out of the plot and are mostly just hilarious.

after youve caught yourself up a bit, try checking out the discord! the link to join is in dib’s blog’s links. it’s huge and wild, but really fun, and theres a lot of fun interaction with the characters as well as fan discussion on it.

i literally just found these blogs and id like to read back the older stuff but idk where to start? i checked some of the tags for the arcs on dib's blog but it seems incomplete so like how am i sposed to read back help

i would suggest you use dib’s blog because i don’t have everything yet (too busy). It’s not incomplete as far as I remember, but sometimes people’s tags help with understanding a bit better so you might have to dig into the posts a little bit if you want a deeper understanding. hope this helps!
