NEW RELEASE 

Nilüfer Yanya ‎– Miss Universe 2LP, Clear Vinyl Out today.  Dreamy UK indie pop.  I like it, but the first spin didn’t contain anything that hooked me.  It’s well done but it sounds like a lot of other artists whose names I don’t remember either.  Pitchfork likes it, so you might too.  Give it a listen, let your ears be the judge.

New center channel speaker from Klipsch! If you haven't been able to tell, I'm a huge fan of their speakers. This is the RP600c that has dual 6.5" copper cerametallic woofers with a 1" titanium tweeter. The walnut finish matches my kg-4s almost perfectly. It's not ideal to have my AVR sitting on top of it, but this center speaker is so big that I don't have a choice until I move and upgrade my entertainment center. Also, I put my AVR into EXT Stereo mode when listening to music so that it feels like surround sound. This isn't the most pure way to listen to music, but it's my favorite sound and I love hearing all of my beasts.

I’ve been working on completing my Whipped Cream backdrop for the past 5 years, picking up a copy whenever I saw one.  Today, I received a package containing 9 Whipped Cream album covers, enough to complete my monument to perhaps the most iconic album cover of all time. Best part? Many of these 19 album jackets were sent to me by other Vinyl Junkies who dug the idea and wanted to do something nice.  Thanks to everyone who helped me build the only wall that matters.  Stu “Black Crowe” McArthur, thanks for helping me with the final 9 pieces, you rule!
