My my, May, my my.
Hello!
I’ve been absent from my own promotional website. That should tell you how busy my May was.
Suffice to say this was the first weekend in May that I got to stay home and do work and it is the LAST week in May.
Here’s what I’ve been up to since we last spoke.
On GEEK.COM, a solid 111 posts from yours truly. Some were gems. Here are my favorites:
Homer Simpson solved the mass of the Higgs boson in 1998
DUM-Bur: Tim Burton is going to direct a live action Dumbo
Terminator: Genisys will be insane, and former Doctor Who star Matt Smith’s role ensures it
Did H&M create fake heavy metal bands to sell t-shirts?
US Supreme Court Spider-Man case could lead to more life-saving drugs
The Brontosaurus might be a real dinosaur again
The death knell for optical media: There will be no more Simpsons DVDs
Winter isn’t coming: Hugo Awards’ own GamerGate is delaying A Song of Ice and Fire
There will be a documentary about banned Scary Stories books
Jurassic World’s dinosaurs are mostly played by people
New augmented reality horror game is terrifying because it maps your house
Murder and magic at the Stanley Film Festival, a horror summer camp
Harry Potter needs your help to pitch a superhero reality TV show starring Rupert Murdoch
Computational hydrographics is basically fancy tie-dye for everything
Comics wise, we last spoke during MARVELOUS DA7E #82, this week we hit MARVELOUS DA7e #96. You can check them out here. But if you’re gonna do one, I’d suggest my one week “DC DA7E” spin-off column:
DC DA7E: 'The Flash' and 'Arrow' Do What DC Does Best
SO MUCH STAR WARS; THE FORCE AWAKENS stuff happened from Celebration to comics to novels. I was S7AR WARSing through most of it. You can find all the columns HERE, but the one with the most fun in it is:
S7AR WARS: The Force Awakens Awoke
Meanwhile, my slow accumulation of worthwhile musings on the megafranchise continue at Forbes:
'Hannibal' Writer to Bring Jason Back For Another 'Friday the 13th' Reboot
James Bond's New 'Spectre' Teaser Drastically Changes The Evil Organization
Star Wars Expands to Addictive Digital Trading Cards with Topps
'Furious 7' Marks Universal's Biggest Franchise Ever
Paramount and Marvel should let 'Daredevil' and 'TMNT' team up
This Weekend, 'Star Wars' 88 Million Views Made 'Superman' Bleed
Phil Lord and Chris Miller's Daunting Task With 'Flash' and 'Spider-Man'
'Jurassic World' Wants to Revive the Franchise's God Complex
The Strange Case of 'Mr. Holmes' Vs. U.S. Copyright Law
'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Looks Faithful to the Cartoons, but is it?
AND, as always, we’re bringing you the good podcasting over at FightingInTheWarRoom.com.
The main show has been rocking it with all four hosts. Episodes here.
Joanna and I have managed to complete the first editions of THE THOUGHT BUBBLE podcast about comics and are on hiatus to return for a new season of STORM OF SPOILERS, the podcast about speculating on HBO’s Game of Thrones using internet an book knowledge.
Check ‘em out if you like comics or Game of Thrones.

The first step in any Joker casting is everyone freaking out about what he's going to look like, and that looks to be this week's task.
