When growing up, Link's parents were arguing. He was six, when they finally got a divorce. Since his father was also a manager, Link became a young actor for few small roles for movies and ads and the older he got, more responsibilities fell on his shoulders and stopped seeing his mother (against his will without realizing most likely).

Nowadays, he is still a part-time actor, model, influencer and now a full-time student on D.A.M.N., hoping to finally have normal college life. Maybe even make new friends. His ideas are bit romanticized from all the scripts, but he can still dream of freedom.

Hopefully his father's past won't curse him.

Ethan got their powers from their other parent, who is lately contantly busy (but does not blame them for it at all - Ethan blames D.U.M.P.), while their dad is unempowered, indie game developer (quite famous with his group, they make visual novels) and tester and also stay-at-home. Ethan loves his pancakes but also his kitchen experiments (I wonder how they didn't blow up yet).

Their dad supports them and is proud that his child is going to a college and aims high, even if they're staying low. In fact, Ethan understands their powers a little differently. Maybe even senses.

While Roman and Rogue were childhood friends, there was also a time when they tried dating and even shared their first kiss! It was one of those weird times where everyone in High School is experiencing love and fun and the adrenaline of sneaking out to go to a party. You can say they were socially pressured into it, but they don't regret it, they just click as friends way better than boyfriends.

While Rogue was so excited to tell Asher everything and how it felt right to be just friends with Roman and how they won't regret their first kiss.

Roman... kinda forgot LMAO. It's not that he didn't want to tell his dads (who suspected anyway and uncle Gavin can read emotions to reassure them he is fine), it was more comfortable for him to keep his privacy, until they asked about it (he probably just said "yeah" and kept playing Zelda).

Roman and Rogue were childhood friends.

Rogue is that kind of a person, that is the extrovert adopting the introvert one. It's quite exactly what happened. They would never step over Roman's boundaries though, they're very understanding and can smell the tension miles away! So they would mostly do parallel play with Roman and he would thank them for playing with him (even if it looked like he ignored them the entire time).

With puberty, magic awakening in them, and high school and other stuff, their friendship would get more intense and hard to navigate to the point, that they both get lost in it and wait for the other to call the end of it or revive it.

Neither of them made that step and their friendship becomes cold not by their end, but the lack of it.

OVERRIDE AU

This AU is the next generation AU with its own story, set of characters, plots, romance and so much more! I have no idea how much branched out it would be, but it's something I wanna try and get into, explore and have fun with and I hope you all will have too!

So far, we have these following main characters of this fun little thing:

🛡️ Roman Rhone - 24, contra-earth

- the son of Damien and Huxley Rhone and he takes brain and brawn from both of them in the best way possible, which can put him in a difficult spot socially, which can be hard to maintain and hold onto his friends he once had

🌐 Link [???] - 22, illusory

- from a young child actor to an idol of everyone's heart and the proudest investment his father ever had, fame after fame, has a difficulty finding his own place, but wouldn't even try to disappoint his father, who happens to be his manager as well

🩹 Rogue Talbot - 24, shifter

- a daydreamer, chaotic and kind just like their father, the unexpected first friend, that will find you in the park, while they eat sand. While they try to move on, they wish they could fix whatever they did wrong and make it right.

🔮 Ethan [???] - 23, telepath

- some would say a complete opposite of their parents, but don't be fooled, they can be as cringe as his dad loving video games is and that's what they love about him. He just wishes he would lose his powers and be unempowered like him.

🥀 Cordelius [???] - 20, vampire

- once a hopeless dreamwalker seeking something new, true and real for nobody but himself only, he begins to regret the change and question his identity for the price for (im)mortality and the relationship of life and death

🕸️ Algol - 25, strife demon

- a demon with a love for the color neon green and fun in danger and clubs, he haunts his own origin with teeth and nails, until it decides to haunt him back and make him regret ever feeling other than anger
