Hello everyone! I'm still alive and well. Kanri is currently too busy to code, so I'm currently in the process of doing it...I finished the interactive short story for the month and will drop the early access by next week.

The interactive short story is the second installment to the ATGWW short series.

Unfortunately, due to my lack of experience in coding, I get a lot of errors, and the testing + debugging in each part takes a lot of time.

I won't be coding the full thing and Kanri will hopefully get back to it after personal things, and she will code the rest of the chapter.

Status Update

sigh, How are you guys? I'm doing fine, and sorry for disappearing! Life was going on, and I was busy with real-life responsibilities. I'm moving next month, so apartment-hunting + work + writing + coding has been really hectic. Unfortunately, with current events, Kanri cannot code the IF, which is why it has fallen on my shoulders. And I'm a terrible and slow coder.

So currently, the update might only be released next month. By then, the coding should be done.

As for Patreon content, I will do an early release of the chapter on Patreon by the beginning of next month from the lowest tier (with +/-50k words coded) + the P2 of As the Green Willow Wilts (second tier availibility), to at least make up for some of the short stories.

I've also finally completed the next addition to the art series, which is of Wu Shen.

He would be very, VERY upset. He will feel useless since he feels that it was his fault that you got hurt in the first place. Of course, he wouldn't distance himself and would just mask all his negative feelings since he doesn't want you to feel bad or comfort him when he should be the one doing that. Of course, you would never know unless you have a high perception stat. 😆😆

Mo Ge has seen most of the scars on MC's upper body and back (if you choose to have scars), minus the more recent ones. As children (after MC was isolated and when the abuse started), Mo Ge would sometimes bathe MC in a dimly lit room, and put stuff on the bath surface to make it more comfortable for MC, since MC wouldn't wash for periods of time.

Which character did you have the most fun writing? And why?

Uhhh...so far, Wu Shen. He is the most "fun." What do you think would happen when I have to write the most unhinged, out-of-pocket, charming, and rude character.

I bob my head to the side. “No nickname this time?” He blinks blankly before a sly look creeps up his face. “You little feline. If you just want it, ask it, sweetheart.”

[CHOICE]>>>>“Say it like you mean it, dear.” Yao Pei coughs out loud, taking big steps forward, while Wu Shen jerks back with a puzzled expression, opening and closing his mouth like a goldfish. “Your sensual choice of words would put the courtesan with the simplest hairstyle to shame.”

“Oh? What’s the connection between sensual and simple hairstyle?” I ask.

He bats his eyelashes, his line of sight moving along to the front.

“See that woman over there?”

I glance from the corner of my eyes. A lovely lady with a innocent appearance, dressed in soft pink like cherry blossoms, pours several shots of wine for her patrons. She is well-dressed, extravagantly even with the golden hairpieces and jade jewelry. But her hair is in a loose ponytail across her shoulder.

“That woman is most popular and accessible courtesan here. A bitch even with how she backstabs her ‘sisters’ in the qinglou.” A mischievous smile. “Wanna try your luck with her?”

I smile. “I’d rather not.”

He nods. “Good, because the first person who will judge you is me.”

“So what’s the connection?” I ask. “You still didn’t say.”

“Come on, little feline. It should be obvious.” He wiggles his eyebrows. “It’s easier for the patron to undo. Faster to do what they are there to do.”

“That’s interesting. You know a lot, don’t you?”

“A lot more than I should, goodness.” He exhales, pouting.

You touching his hand is an overkill. If you compliment him, he will become flustered but keep his cool.

I place my hand over his, clasping my fingers around them. 

“W-what are you…” he mumbles, objecting to me. Yet, he stays there. 

His fingers are cold, rough a the tip, skin a little dry. Seeing as how delicate he appears, his hands are that of a man. Thinking about it, he is quite tall, taller than Zhaozun. I raise my eyes, staring at him. He looks back at me like a puzzled puppy, his down-turned eyes shadowed by his long lashes. A slightly red tint settles over his ears and cheeks, nipped by the cold.

As for Shenglian, she is closer to a demi-god than a god. The significant factor is the Mark of Heibao, which is essentially a part of the god himself. It's better to call Qiangxin an incarnation of Heibao and the Roc his other half. Shenglian and all the other members of the Imperial family are descendents of Heibao, and they do not possess a part of his [Heibao] soul.
