The wind was biting and bitter, it promised frostbite and frozen limbs.

It wouldn’t have been so odd if it was winter, but it wasn’t. It was the middle of the summer, and Joxter’s son was once again rapt with anger and spite.

“I hate you! You’re so weak, why would I ever want to be anything like you?”

The words hurt, but the biting wind hurt even more. That’s how he knew it was true, that he meant those words, and Joxter closed his eyes, willing the tears away, they’d probably freeze to his face.

“Snufkin, I know you’re angry but you have to stop. You’re going to bring a premature winter at this rate-“

“Of course that’s what you care about,” It was starting to flurry with snow, the sun was being blocked out by heavy clouds.

“That’s all you’ve ever cared about. The seasons and how we have to take care of this planet-“

“Because we do, Snufkin-“

The younger kept talking as if his father hadn’t spoken at all. “I don’t care about this planet, let it die for all I care. If it means you realize that I am nothing like you, caring about people who don’t give a damn about me, then let it rot.”

Joxter stayed quiet, watching him storm past him, flinching away when they brushed against one another.

Looking at the sky, it was dark, purple and bruised, if this kept up any longer.. Snufkin just might kill more than he intended.

So this one is based in both a cheetah pic and around the headcanon where sunfkin have been touch starved for the longest time, so when his dear friend, moomin, finally touch him he falls instanlly into moomin’s hand with the sofest of feelings
