Seeing her confidence boosted the morale of the red-haired Professor and as she felt the gentle touch of her hand on hers, it was a matter of seconds that Niamh was on top of Freyja, admitting that she had already tried to mount a wyvern. “I can definitely tell so!” she enthusiastically replied, while hopping right in front of her, leading the way to her wyvern, “And I can assure that wyverns are much more enjoyable than the winged horses” she didn’t lack respect towards the other creatures, but she simply didn’t like them as much as she loved wyverns –she basically grew up with this kind of creature.
Yet, leaving aside the whole argument – which she actually could deepen with her, once this little investigation would be over –, she absolutely agreed with her new companion: they had to discover what was behind that mysterious happenings in the sky. “We’re heading up, brace yourself!” and so the couple gained altitude towards the bizarre occurrence in the sky, getting closer and closer, till they eventually reached close enough to see something not quite alright.
At first, Minerva was too focused on the guiding to notice it, but as she heard Niamh muttering something behind her, she rose her gaze towards the direction of the sky, when a sudden opening caught her attention, but not because of the opening itself, but rather, for something far more unusual than a normal gash in the sky.
“What…is that?” she nimbly stopped the flight of Freyja, gently pressing the reins as to make the creature stop mid-air, floating not too far from the strange vision: exactly in the middle on the laceration, there was a very luminous orb hovering with other tiny lights, but clearly the orb in the middle had some sort of influence on the others. It almost was… hypnotic.
“Am I imagining things or there is an… orb… in that cloud?” she searched for words, but she was too baffled to truly comprehend her sentences. Being in awe for several moments was the minimum: it was astonishingly beautiful, but what about the tears?
“Do you think that… the tears came from that orb?”

Their speech was so spontaneous that Minerva almost felt at home in front if that fireplace, at her side, while drinking something together and talking about their past adventures and military raids: they were like some sort of akin souls, sharing the same passions and the same way of thinking and despite hailing from distant countries, the two of them had probably lived not very different issues; from the way she was talking about her duties, she was asked to be strong, exactly like Minerva: she felt the call from her kingdom and her subjects, who needed her to be strong, who needed her to be confident, who needed her to be a true leader.
“We’re not so different in this” the red-haired woman turned her gaze to the fireplace, admiring the flames going miserably down and leaving the atmosphere more and more relaxed and suffused, but clearly tending to an ending of the flames, likewise the conversation in between the two of them. Yet, as much as she knew that their time together was reaching to a conclusion, she knew for sure that this wasn’t the last time they would see each other around the monastery. They had to meet again.
She turned again to face Altena, eagerly placing her free hand on hers, hoping she would not refuse the contact. “Our countries will be friends –we will be friend and we will be supporting each other” she sketched a smile, knowing this might be a little awkward at first, but the chemistry was undeniable.
“Do you agree that we have to meet again?” she felt a little warmth on her cheeks, but she didn’t mind, at all, “Maybe for a training, next time!” she offered, truly hoping she would agree with that suggestion.

Minerva felt a very strange anxiety in between the two of them, maybe the question was too rude or poorly structured and not accompanied by some gentle words? While the other woman lingered on the reply, the red-haired princess pondered about the actual situation, feeling a bit unnerved since she didn’t want to put Lachesis in an uncomfortable position.
“You don’t necessarily have to answer..” she tried, but the other woman surprisingly replied with much to Minerva’s astonishment, since she actually didn’t expect such bold reaction; she still seemed a bit uneasy while talking about it, but she certainly had her good reasons. Yet, the next question caught the red-haired Macedon off guard.
Tumblr media
“L-Love?” she repeated, maybe she heard it wrong. A pause. She heard it right. So, with all her good sense and lack of prude, she did her best to assemble a reasonable answer to satisfy – possibly? – the curiosity of the woman in front of her.
“I never experienced love, aside from the sisterly love for my little Maria” she admitted it with a bit of reluctance in her tone, but she knew that she was the one who played innocent. “I kind of envy those who experienced it in a more passionate way..” she paused, staring at the bangs of Lachesis, finding them cute for a moment. “What kind of feeling is love? Can you describe it to me?”

hc + whitewings
HC prompt ☾ | accepting!
Minerva's pride, one of her biggest accomplishments and greatest creations; the Whitewings are a group of Macedonian Pegasus Knights that she founded and still leads, consisting of Minerva, and the three sisters -Palla, Catria and Est.
They are like a second family for the red-haired princess and she actually missed them dearly since she left the Macedon reign: she keeps in contact with them every now and then, since she still has got the duty to command them and since she cannot be physically there for most of the time, she asked Palla to take care of the most important commitments and burocracy during her absence.
The story behind the creation of the group is actually very deep: the trio was Minerva's most skilled knights, but whenever Maria wanted to have a ride in the sky, Minerva couldn't help but ask the Pegasus Knights to escort her around and let her live the thrill to touch the sky.
Since the red-haired princess wanted to do the most she could to protect her little sister, she decided to create the group as a personal and private force for Maria and herself, but as they grew fond of each other and actually work and battle pretty well all together, she decided to officialize and formalize the group, choosing the name by celebrating the purity and beauty of their mounts -The Whitewings.

[hc + weather!]
HC prompt ☾ | accepting!
Minerva doesn't bother too much about the weather: she likes when the sun is out in the ky, as well as when the clouds covered all the atmosphere around her.
She's probably more accustomed to rigid and cold weather, since the winters in her homeland are very strong and abundant, due to the numerous forest and the fact that a large part of the territory it is mountainous.
But, one notable thing is that she's quite sensible to humidity and fog: she does'nt like it, because she once had a very rough battle around a marshy and humid field and she almost lose her wyvern in there. Because of that, she felt uneasy around foggy weather.

hc + magic
HC prompt ☾ | accepting!
Minerva and magic travel on seperate binaries: it is true, she had fun in the arena, experimenting a way of battling that doesn't belong to her, but as a matter of fact, she is kind of repellent to magic.
It's not that she doesn't like it, but she simply cannot understand how it work and how she can actually use it. Yet, since she transferred at the Monastery, she grew fond of dark magic and she wants to learn more about it;it all started while she observed a lesson and after that moment, she felt fascinated and she understood that she could actually make a ood use of magic too.
Obviously she prefers weapons and more concrete items, but tomes and staff will certainly be part of her training, in the future.

It is not quite the same to welcome Marth to the medical tent as it is her sister. One, the Hero-King; the other, her hero, right from the very beginning. Of course what silliness she spouts about her brother and sister being the strongest is ever made in cheek, but still — how odd it still feels to let that little piece of childhood slip between her fingers.
“Sister!” A juice box is hastily pressed into the elder princess’s hands, the younger squarely settling her gift there and wrapping her own around them. It would be a hug, were there not wounds for her to consider; nevertheless, into this she wholly pours her heart, her warmth, scoldings and rest be forgot — no force in all the world shall keep her from her family.
“You were so incredible out there, Minerva! I knew you would be!” Soft fingers curl over the heel of the woman’s palm, and from them, faith flows in abundance. Gently as a cleric may, Maria mends her sister's hurts; and, when she looks up to her again, it is with that irrepressible adoration she has always held. Changed though it may be from their halcyon days, it knows no decay — only love, boundless as the skies above Macedon.
“Did you have fun? Oh — did you make any friends? Tell me you did!” The little robin’s head tips back, a tittering laugh flowing upward. “Or were they intimidated by how strong you are? The super cool way you swing your axe? Hee hee! Now everyone has to know how amazing you are!”
After the ending of the event, she did not expect no less than the much needed rest; as a matter of facts though, she had some wounds to be treated properly and a stop at the medical tent was compulsory and she knew that above all, her sister would scold her if she would have skipped it.
Speaking of sister, she did her best to seek for her during the event, but the incredible rythm of the rounds completely made her out of reach for most of the times, especially since she was in one of the team that made it to the final. Minerva thought that Maria would be extremely happy with that result… and so she was.
A sudden sister! called out her attention and as she realized the evidence, the little body of the girl was already sticking against the woman's body, still wearing the heavy armour from the previous battles.
"Maria.. I'm so glad to see you" she gently patted her head, picking up with her other free hand the juice box, but the irruence of the little sister completely absorbed the love of her big sister: despite the differences, they were very connected to each other, a love that overcome every single limit and boundary - she was the real treasure, for Minerva.
"Ah, I just did what I thought it could be the best for my team" she scratched her head, a slight smile as she felt a little pain in the legs, but the acute perception of Maria made her realize she needed a medication and of course she was the master of healings and cures.
"But I can see you did a great job as well here at the medical tent" she sighed as she let the pain slowly fade away while the younger sister proceed in her treatments. "You're like an angel to all of us, dealing with concotions and heals" she snorted lightly, enduring the pain and knowing that it would soon go away: love healed everything.
"Oh no, I'm not as cheerful as you Maria.. But I did find some nice and cool battle companions" in all honesty, she wasn't fully certain to define them as friend, but she certainly made some favorable meeting. "But enough talking about me, let me properly thank you for this little medication: how about a tea break? - just you and me, like we used to do at home.." she outlined a fleeting smile, caressing the cheek of her little sister with tenderness and lastly adjusting the leg finally medicated. "Let's celebrate together.. since it's almost your birthday!" she blushed a little; she knew she was not good with this, but all that battlings have messed up with her head and she just wanted to be with her for good.
"You know I'm not good with celebrations and such, but please, accept my gift and proposal" and she lastly embranced her tiny body in a warm hug, hoping they would continue to be like this forever.

“Hey! Heyyy!” Ewan waved from a short distance before coming closer. “Good job at the battle, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Here, have some juice to relax!”
The battles were so intense and everuthing seemed so confused at the end of all of that, but the kindness of that young boy certainly did surprise the fiery woman, who managed, in response, to sketch a brief smile.
"Thanks.. It was insane, a very unique battle" she blurted, picking the juice with an air of gratitude, "And thank you for all the support you all gave, it was truly meaningful for all of us!"

One of Minerva’s favourite activity certainly was taking care of her students, especially the ones with zero experience in the field of flying: she was one of the main Flying Instructor of the monastery and she was pretty proud of that title, since in her homeland she was the Commander of Macedon’s Whitewings squadron, which meant, she probably was the highest authority in that field inside her reign.
That to be said, she accepted to train every students at the Garreg Mach Monastery who desired to approach the sky and the most majestic creature among all –the wyvern. She was practically raised with a wyvern, so she was very used to be with them and take care of them –and she probably was more accustomed to wyverns rather than humans, by that time. Yet, she now was an instructor and she did everything in order to help and support her students.
That exact day, a new student decided to join her lessons and despite the promising attitude, she soon discovered he was an amateur in the flying field and he definitely needed some more basic lessons rather than trying to get into the sky right away. As she initially offered him to befriend the most suitable wyvern for him – which was a young female, a very tame and sweet creature –, she though noticed immediately that he needed to overcome something else aside from the mount; he seemed a bit uncomfortable in Minerva’s opinion and that was not the right spirit to create a connection with your new mount.
Tumblr media
“Here, let me help you with this” she got close to the young boy, handing him some dried meat, “Let’s start with this, she loves it!” she gave him an encouraging smile, then continued, “Is it your first time with a wyvern?”

The cute attempt of Niamh to approach the wyvern was very amusing to Minerva, who quietly observed the sequences of the actions: the girl was cautious, but the creature was very eager to let the new person trust her a little bit more and with a vivacious growl, she leant her neck towards her direction, in order to make herself in a comfortable position to be petted. Of course she might be timid, but there was no point in forcing an acquaintance that probably required more time than a simple pat.
Aside from that, she seemed to trust both of them for the ride and that was a very encouraging news; together, they would certainly manage to discover what was hiding behind that mysterious tears. Plus, the brunette seemed to share the very same objective of Minerva –that was, to actually understand the true meaning behind these strange apparitions on top of the hill above them.
“Oh, we’re here for the same goal, I think” she tilted her head, sketching a smile, then she turned towards the sky, the very same direction that Niamh pointed with her gaze before speaking with her. “There’s something definitely wrong with that..” her expression frowned, even though she knew that she could count on a new amiable ally. She turned to face Niamh, once again.
“If you can trust us, we can settle and began to fly over there” and she pointed with her index finger a small cliff just above their heads. “This will be an easy job for Freyja, right darling?” she gave a generous pat on the neck of the creature, nodding with closed eyes, in a seraphic expression. “Alright, you need an hand to hop in? Have you ever ride a wyvern or a pagasus, maybe?” she didn’t want to sound too inquisitive, but she just wanted to be extra sure that the girl wouldn’t be in danger. “I can help you with that” and she offered her hand, while the wyvern has already positioned herself in order to let the couple climb onto her back.

The counterattack was load, fierce, powerful enough to set Minerva on her knees, probably not really capable of holding anymore damage from here onward: so, this was the end, right? She felt each muscle going rigid, she felt her breath becoming stiffer and she felt the heaviness of the fresh wounds on her pale skin –she was nearly defeated, that was it.
Another hit came from the man with the tome and gladly for her, her shield did absorb once again the great part of the damages and for all she could ask for, she stayed silent instead, watching motionless the slow decisions from the enemy team: Hilda was next; Hilda would be her defeat.
With the very last strength remaining in her lungs, she hissed some words, but tried her best to keep a soft tone, since she kinda of like that girl and her inexorable will of fight (or maybe she just wanted to leave as soon as possible?); regardless these thoughts, she spoke, slowly.
“It was an intense battle…You absolutely deserve the win. Go for it” and she lowered her defence, the shield dropped on the ground, waiting for the pigtails girl to eventually hit the final blow on her fatigued and helpless body.
Hilda 2/5HP hits Minerva 0.5/6HP with Vengeance [Roll: 16 - 2 = 14, -3HP] Minerva 0/6HP Minerva has been defeated!
The robust thud on her abdomen was enough for the red-haired princess to finally drop the axe as well and fall onto the ground with both her knees, just a mere defeat pose as she wasn’t really capable of doing anymore actions nor swift movements. This was it; the Blue Lions has been defeated, the Golden Deer were victorious on the battleground!
With a slow movement of her fatigued body, Minerva rose from her position and stood still, waving a peaceful hand at them, a serene expression hovering on her visage as she was proud of the result of the tournament: even though their team didn't end up as winner, she was happy to have shared such a valuable moments with wonderful companions and formidable fighters. She would not forget those memories that easily.

As she finished praising the outstanding bravery of the young girl, another hit came right at her shield, luckily, halving a good amount of the damage she would otherwise get from the potent tome that Knoll was holding. Wait.. did he bring the tome back?! Minerva looked a bit confused at first, but then she kindly recognised the praises he made towards her resistance, actually making giggle a little, since he as well was a formidable fighter.
“You’re an amazing challenger for me. Both of you. We should train together sometimes, after we finish this” she smirked, then charged towards the pink-haired lady, probably unaware of the upcoming attack.
Minerva 3.5/6HP hits Hilda 2.5/5HP with Flaming Axe [Roll: 8  - 2 = 6, -1.5HP] Hilda 1/5HP
The hit went through this time, a perfect slice at her tender body, though meticulously avoiding any vital parts of her feeble organism, since it was almost on the verge of giving up, by the look of her positioning and balance. She was faltering.
“Finally I've got you good, huh?” she bounced back, a little trembling on her right knee, but that was normal, she was human too, after all.

Maybe her excitement was too much, or maybe it was just enough to make the lavender-haired man fail at the throw of his axe, the very same type of axe wielded by Hilda, but in his hands, it was absolutely not comparable to what the pink-haired girl managed to do in the previous sequences of actions: he was a bit goofy, probably wasn’t actually used to that kind of weapon.
Yet, their strategy lead them to change once again and rotate their order, making the red-haired princess face exactly the man with the tome and the axe, though she feared nothing more than the other enemy, the pink-haired girl with an extraordinary capacity in manoeuvring the axe within her range –she was very skilful, but she was clearly out of energies too, like Minerva.
Minerva 4/6HP barely hits Hilda 3/5HP with Flaming Axe [Roll: 7 - 2 = 5, -0.5HP] Hilda 2.5/5HP
But, she did her best to actually focus this time and take the aim to actually hit for once the selected target, which was Hilda, by the way, since it now was a question of honour: she wanted to test her, she wanted to see if she was worth her strength and if she could actually hope to find her outside the battleground, discussing axes and whatsoever. Her attack was merely a scratch due to her lack of mobility, but still, she managed to hit her in some way.
“You’re very resistant, I’ve got admit it. I like it. A lot” she huffed as she moved back, taking the axe up high as she was ready to defend from any other assault. “You really deserve this win”

Her presentiment revealed to be truth: the terrible vengeance from Hilda’s axe came quickly to disrupt Diamant last energies, making him unable to proceed with the battle; the action was too quicky for Minerva, which as well observed incredulous the swift movements of the pink-haired girl; she managed the axe with such mastery that she – for a moment – felt at awe.
“That was quite impressive..” she blurted, though immediately turning her head to see the reaction from Diamant: as a real knight and humble fighter, he retreated with gratitude towards both Minerva and the enemy team, addressing the red-haired woman as the last hope for the Blue Lions House. And that was true, she was the only one left from her faction and she indeed had to persevere in that challenge, she didn’t want to give up that easily –but her body told her the contrary, however.
Minerva 4/6HP misses Hilda 2.5/5HP with Flaming Axe [Roll: 4-2 = 2, -0HP] Hilda 2.5/5HP
The grip on her right hand was weak now, probably weaker due to the fact that now she was all alone in that battleground, in front of her the same cute expression as before, nothing changed, just the feeling inside her chest and the willingness to avenge her good companions.
“I will resist, I will be your worst enemy to put down!” she roared, quickly regaining the excitement that she felt at the beginning pf the tournament. “C’mon, bring it on!”
