NPC quick update just to test the vitiligos marks. they're quite a variety of them to chose and they really match the skins. (sorry for the excessive nose blush, I notice it after taking pics) I'll drop her in one of my Magnolia Promenade condos.

THINGS YOU NEVER NOTICED IN THE SIMS 4 (Part 4)

This article is based on this awesome thread AND my personnal experience. I do NOT own anything. If you already knew most of this things, you’re a true simmer ! Congrats.

*PART 1* and *PART 2* and *PART 3*

Kids, babies :

Female sims breast get bigger during pregnancy.

Babies tend to be less hungry after breast feeding than bottle feed. Also babies tend to be unhappy with the meal if you make them breastfeed when mother hunger meter is in red.  

Apparently, pregnant sims can go jogging, but it’s more like an accelerated waddle than actual running.    

Kids can fight with adult… and win !

Romance :

Married sims can renew their vows.

If your married sim cheats and gets a girlfriend or boyfriend on the side and the spouse asks the side piece their relationship status they just say they are “seeing someone”. They never actually say the husband or wife’s name.    

Emotions :

Bored sims play with their food.

Sims get dazed from drinking too much coffee.

There’s a moodlet called “ Pressurized” and smokes would come out of your sims ears.  

Every animal hats came from the deluxe version are attached to an emotion. You can learn skills faster with one of those on !

Tense sims that try to raise the fun-bar by playing with clay will punch and beat it. Looks really fun, my poor little sim.

Skills :

The slowest way to learn a skill is to read the books.

Adults can teach to their kids how to swim.

Animations :

Sims can change their clothes underwater.

Children that are drawing on the activity table can call their parents (and I assume other adults, but I haven’t tried that) over to see what they’re drawing.

In the Sylvian Glade the white sparkles flying around are fairies and they speak, make noises and laugh.

The refrigerators actually produce a humming noise, just like in real life. Zoom in real close and you’ll hear it.  

If you make a sim move out using their computer, you will see the world map that we have in our game on their screens. This city looks like the other side of Oasis Spring with high buildings around a lake.

Sims can “listen to Space Woo Hoo” which I guess is their sneaky way of putting in..erm, adult entertainment (computer)

Objects :

The big air vents that you can place on top of roofs make noise.

All the furnitures from the base game dollhouse (castle version) are from Get Together. Size up to take a look.

With Luxury Parties :

Two premades sims from Get Together are on the official render of this stuff pack.

With Cool Kitchen :

Did you know that one of the ice cream flavors called “taste of diet” can actually help you lose weight little by little just by eating it ! That saves my Sim from exercising and even pushing the limits !

With Get to Work :

Aliens can get a homesick moodlet if they watch the alien TV channel that comes with the satellite dish.

Aliens can blush if in a very flirty mood.

Read Sixam backwards. It’s Maxis.

Did you know that aliens can revive dead collectable aliens found in space ?

Sims won’t go in a bathroom that’s the opposite gender of theirs.

With Spa Day :

This may be common knowledge or previously mentioned, but you can use the drink tray that came with Spa Day for the other drinks you make at the bar as well.

If you zoom in, you can see sims underwears line through yoga pants.

With Outdoor Retreat :

If your sims has reach the level 7 of the handiness skill, he unlock a special interaction. Clic on the giant Stanley the Mascot wood statue. Then, an option comes up to ‘Learn Woodworking Schematic’. Whe you’re back home, your sims can now craft a smallest version of Stanley !

There’s is a cute labyrinth game behind the cereals box from this gamepack ! And the monster looks kinda like the Nessie from Get Together…

With Get Together :

Kids can meet and be friend with the Nessie.

There’s spots on the foosball table are pseudo cup holders where your sims could place cups on when they play, and take additional sips from.

Update on Magnolia Promenade map.. Building process

thought it was a good idea to show you my progress! I've completed both stores and now I'm focusing on a residential rental. there's a very peculiar spot there that would be perfect for it, as there's a kids park and then a sitting area and huge gardens nearby. in my save, residential rentals work (kinda) - I just struggle with the number of negative events and not getting my payment as a landlord. so I just build while waiting for a patch and assign rooms per household and I have no issue so far. for those who are still not aware : to avoid any corrupt save, do not make more than 6 RR on a lot!

back to magnolia promenade, when Get to Work got release, I never thought of putting a residential home here but it totally makes sense if it's a condo complex. I can't wait to put sims in there and furnish all the apartments. I'll upload in the gallery the building shell for you to use and do whatever you want with it (my ID: DWould). keep in mind that I use CC so you have to tick the "show custom content" option. At least you would have the shape/structure - which is the hardest to do. Just place your own windows and flooring and walls...

Anyway, as many builders, I try to many things before being happy with my final decision. I first built a more modern condo that was okay but didn't fit the vibe of Magnolia Promenade at all. I'll use this for Del Sol Valley, I think.

Those who know me, know my love for this glowing floor/wall. It helped me so much to place everything and calculate the grid.

it doesn't look like it but there's built-in balconies at the front. behind, i've put balconies for everyone also! but like, more open..

i STRUGGLED to choose wallpapers but yeah, i wanted something quite "pastel" and light to fit the whole vibe.

still a wip so i don't really care for these silly pics but you get the full follow up. right now, I'll try to furnish like one apartment and put Sims in there. Wish me luck!

the last lot will most likely be a restaurant (don't fight me, I love restaurant in the Sims 4 and they are not that much glitchy in my game.. I don't know why but I do not have a lot of glitch in my game and its pretty much miraculous..)

Generated by the game, I decided, 10 years later, to take care of her. Astrid is working in the tech-industry career as a programmer. She moved to Willow Creek recently and loves gardening and simple things. She doesn't want to get married or have children. She just wants to spread the virtue of eating good things to the world.

my sims was coaching a team member when i heard silly noise in the background. once I turned my camera, I saw my BEST employee whooping some customer ass! :o to be fair, my sims talked to him a bit earlier and he was mad disrespectful, so I let her handle this case. long story short, she throws hands at him.

bc i'm a good manager, i told him to leave, gave her a raise and ask her to leave early. ALWAYS TAKE THE SIDE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES! kuddos to you girl.

look at those noisy ass townies in the background. i can't believe how curious they were. they all walk toward the agitation and raised their neck like girafes. i was laughing so hard.

Magnolia Promenade Update !

In my ongoing project to renovate all of my favorite maps before the end of 2024, I'm now tackling Magnolia Promenade. I've did a clothing store named Sims Fashion, and a vegan store named Veggiz. I did Veggiz a while back, shortly after the Cats and Dogs release but I gave up because I felt something was missing. I took the shell back and started over. I had a blast!

I tried to combine building/furnishing with gameplay by creating new NPC and household so I could still fill my maps. I haven't touched to Get to Work since... 10 years? I almost forgot everything about managing a store as it didn't really appeal to me when it released.

We didn't have a lot of things to sell back then so it was a bit boring. But now, I can see the full potential! I tried to be really light on the use of CC and I think I've found the right balance. The main objective is to fully upgrade all the stores/staff members so it could be really nice to use while playing after with a different sims as a customer. For now, they both are mid.

There's still two lots to fill across the street. I might do another version of my seafood restaurant that already exists. As for the last one, it used to be a spa (Hello, Spa Day launch lol) but I now want to do something totally different such as a residential rental.

As for Willow Creek, I can now tell that all the house shells are done! I now need to furnish fully or some rooms here and there, and populate the town with more townies. I really hope to get it done after all these years because I'm tired. After that, I think I'll focus on Strangerville and Del Sol Valley, which are both on my tops cities.
