I cant belive I havent posted about fann'y nurse/doctor coworkers, geniuenly there one of the oldest characters I have on the plate over 1 year old yet I havent posted much if anything about them?

happens to the best of us I guess! after finishing this I realized I forgot fanny's nr 1 foe there that being doctor duma BUT all the charas here are somewhat or trying to be friendly towards her so pretend it was on purpose I will draw him some other day

Everything you say is actually so real to me

Felix was one of those guys with entirely too much energy when he was younger I think. Like he'd pick fights with just about anyone he thought was enough of an asshole and while he was usually pretty right it was entirely unnecessary. He was also very much a "married to the job" kind of guy but that's because he's super autistic and really really really really into adventuring. Literally didn't have time for anything else his job was his special interest. To me.

Prologue pt.2 : A Tale of Two Toons

Prologue pt.1

Thousands of years ago, Celestial beings made of an inky essence were born into this world through unknown means.  They built a strong empire out of the magic that brought them to life, and found veins of this substance deep in the earth.  They called it Ichor, or “god’s blood.”  They developed their society around the core and used it to create art and life.

However, there was a darkness brewing in the bowels of the islands, as the ichor was alive. The Blot emerged from the earth, creating entities who had souls darker than the night.

A great war was waged against this being, but with their newfound magic, the Celestial armies drew the darkness back, along with the rest of its spawn.

Unfortunately, a curse befell the lands of ink, and their bodies grew uncontrollable and volatile. 

They called it “The Blot’s Curse.”

In an act to save everyone that many still question to this day, the celestial wizard, Yen Sid, gave up his magic and created a machine to purify the ichor deep within the veins and concentrate it into helping those of Inkwell.

Thus the golden era of “Re-Animation” (creating life) began!

With the islands having new societies rise from the rubble, Toons created cities, towns and houses with ToonTown at its very core.

This period of peace did not last, however. Greed overtook the toons as the machine would provide anything they wanted. Many sought to have it all to themselves. This Greed turned to a lust for power that divided the toons. The instability caused by the crumbling society only reawakened The Blot’s Curse.

This ended the golden era of peace and panic swept the nation. Those affected by The Blot sought out Mickey, the mayor of ToonTown. Mickey, realizing he could not do this alone, started a new order within inkwell.

Toons were separated into factions, each led by “The Stars,” Elected leaders that would form parties to search for the fabled ink machine.

This plan would lead to devastation. Many toons were lost, and Inkwell was forever divided. What began as a search for a cure, turned into deadly competition which ultimately led the Stars to retreat to their own guilds, locking themselves away from the deadly disease that ravaged their home. 

What the Stars didn’t know was that the Ink Machine had been torn apart by the Celestials, with the main artifacts of the machine being divided among them. Finally, with no explanation, The Celestials disappeared.

With no cure for The Blot, Toons began to lose hope in their champions

Many have gone missing, and more succumbed to the blot.

The rest are left to deal with the pieces they left behind.

This is where our story begins.

I have a few questions!

Is Ortensia not alive in this au? if so, was it the ink illness that killed her or something else? and is Oswald depressed by her death like in the original comic or has he moved on?

I answered this question vaguely awhile back with some details regarding them, but I’d still like to clarify again that she’s not alive due to the ink illness!! That part hasn’t changed, though I do want to add elements with backstory of how they met and got married to begin with, etc

Oswald is still depressed, it just won’t be represented with how we’ve originally seen it. His character is a lot more aggressive with tendencies of lashing out, or just overall avoiding people and avoiding to make connections. I want his arc to focus more on moving on, as well some other things I won’t get into here.

I’m so sorry for the long wait, I hope this was alright but if you’re still curious abt stuff feel free to shoot another ask 😭😭🙏

This story is a rewrite of babqftim, not a continuation story. This version is my interpretation, you can see it as its own separate story, since none of the original scenes/plots will take place here. Once again I need to stress that I do not support TGR or any of her actions. This is just my take on how I would’ve changed things

This version is 17+ (details explained in cut below)

Content Warning: Death, Mentions of death, Light violence and gore (To be updated as the comic continues) ! Short Summary : This version takes place in the 1930’s, where toons of Cel City deal with the crisis of the ink illness. Because of this, many are left with untreated conditions of the illness while others have evacuated into the wild to avoid the disease.

This story is about the adventure of Bendy and Boris, two brothers with the goal of finding a cure for the disease (and they make friends along the way!)

The cut section underneath goes into more content warnings!

- I plan for this comic to focus heavier on the drama surrounding survival rather than romance. Romance will be implemented with Oswald/Felix but it’s not the main focus.

- This comic will still have lighthearted moments! But if you are looking for a version of the comic that's equally/on par to the whimsical/shippy nature of the original, then this one is not it!

- Building further on the last bullet point, this comic will focus more on the adventure and characters themselves, but more with their struggles to survive. Again, can’t stress this enough, it’ll be silly from time to time but this version is not intended to be as lighthearted as the original.

- The conditions of body horror (face peeling, numerous/missing limps, “bleeding”) won't be shown to a graphic degree, but it is worth mentioning to those who feel uncomfortable with that form of content. Please tread with caution. - This comic is intended to have heavy themes such as guilt, loss, trauma (This will be updated as the story progresses). Be mindful that this version would fall under the 17+ Rating, meaning "May contain intense violence, extensive profanity, nudity, sexual themes, and other content suitable only for older readers,” according to Library Research Guides rating system. This rating may possibly go up depending on how the comic progresses

As well as somebody who I can bounce ideas off with, somebody who’s open to listening to future plans for the plot and giving suggestions.
