OK so I'm more than a year late having just found you but your observation about the show being still X Files even when the office is closed is brilliant. Hey Flukeman indeed.

Ahaha it just makes me wonder whether all of the FBI agents are encountering supernatural stuff on their regular cases and thinking 'well, that was weird... moving on!' or if Mulder is just a magnet for this stuff 😂 like what if literally any other pair of agents had been sent undercover in Arcadia...

I never got through the first season, but I keep coming back to The X Files because a lot of it really resonates with me — I recently got the “Abduction” mythology box set and have been watching those episodes. They’re all UFO/alien-themed and very much my jam. 👽

Eventually I will have seen all the seasons and films… but until then… Stay Sooky!
