🎥 How Can Film Influence Us 🎥

It is no secret that humans are mimics. They are impressionable and likely to cave to influence. Whether we realize it or not, film, movies, literature, music, all forms of pop culture are an outlet for this. As we absorb the details, aesthetics, styles, vocabulary, and very essence of characters, we quickly separate which of these traits are worth incorporating into our own lives and which aren't. We add these fictitious experiences into our own diaries for future reference, almost as a guide for what to do if similar circumstances should occur. That is why I believe that watching movies is just as impactful as reading books. With each film, we can, as humans, expand our knowledge on a portrayal of real life, and potentially become more comfortable with the world around us.

💗 Sugar, Spice, & Everything Nice 💗

Funny enough, this blog started as a way to connect to film lovers. Stuck in the cushions of my couch after finishing a good movie, I often contemplate how popular a film could be if it were only reheard of. I don't consider myself a film snob entirely, but the domain "Reel Snobby" came to mind. As the idea of this blog unfurled in my mind, I started contemplating the girls out there who share a similar mind to myself and all the different topics we could connect on. This blog is a mere manifestation of that.
