Hey guys. So this has been in the making for quite some time, but unfortunately it's been difficult getting all four admins to sign off on it. Each of us has a lot going on in our lives right now (whether it's work, school, or something else) and as I'm sure you've all noticed, none of us quite have the time to keep this roleplay moving like we'd like. We've also noticed the dash having come to a complete standstill, and so it is with our deepest regrets to say, we are closing Regnum. That being said, that doesn't mean that Regnum Terroris has come to a complete end. To anybody who wishes to continue roleplaying, please do so! Also, if there comes a day where one of us, or more than one of us, wishes to reboot the roleplay, that is entirely possible. (+) Clever: Daisy has always excelled at schoolwork and figuring out problems. Her mind, like most Ravenclaws, moves rapidly. She is skilled at putting things back together again (at least outside of her own life) and loves to give advice, though she seldom follows it.

Daisy had a crush on Dedalus Diggle for most of her first and second year. She found his bumbling nature endearing and she tried to shyly let him know how she felt, but he didn’t seem to realize and they became friends instead.

(+) Loyal: One of Ted’s strongest traits is loyalty. When he grows to care about someone, he will stand beside them to the very end. When he makes promises to protect others or to have their backs when they need it, he is always there to keep his word. He takes pride in the fact he has never broken a promise or let his friends and family down- even though that meant getting into a bit of trouble when getting that fights at school.

(+)  Open-Minded: Though Ted has a tendency to get angry with pureblood students that share the blood purist ideals, he is very open-minded. He is very open and accepting of many regardless of age, gender, sexuality, hobbies, beliefs, house, blood status, etc. This has helped Ted gain a plethora of very different friends. He enjoys being around people that are different from him, it keeps things interesting. He would never judge anyone based on their traits, unless they were murderers or blood purists.

(+)  Hard-Working: Ted has three reasons for working hard. One, his blood status. Though he is certainly not ashamed of where he comes from, he feels as though he has to work extra hard to prove to purebloods that he is in the same league as them when it comes to doing magic. He wants to prove he belongs there just as much as they do. Two, his house. He knows, as well as everyone else does, that Hufflepuff does not have the best reputation when it comes to talented witches and wizards. Ted works extremely hard to show that that stereotype is not true at all and that Hufflepuff can produce just as many talented students as every other house. Three, his reputation. Through a lot of his time at Hogwarts he got into fights and was known for being hot-headed. Once he was offered the position of Prefect, he tried his hardest to tone it down and work hard with his new title to show he was not just some meat head who loves to fight.

(-) Temperamental: Ted used to have a tendency to get into schoolyard scraps with other students. Though his status as a prefect and his ability to use Quidditch as an outlet for his anger have helped him be calmer, he still has a tendency to fight here and there. He is easily set off by the term “mudblood” and he does not take well to anyone bad-mouthing his family or friends. When he is set off, he tends be become very aggressive.

(-) Closed Off: Arguably Ted’s worst trait. Despite all of his best traits, his large group of friends, and his loving family, Ted has been known to be a little distant and closed off. He will always be there for everyone and he will do anything to help anyone, but he does not open himself up to others very easily and he does refrain from speaking his mind on a lot of issues. Very, very few people have gotten Ted to open up in the past and there aren’t many people that TRULY know Ted Tonks. This trait is most likely the root cause of his aggression.

(-) Clumsy: It is not uncommon to see Ted sulking in the infirmary. Sometimes he gets so wrapped up in his thoughts that he pays very little attention to where he is going and accidentally gets hurt. On the Quidditch team, he is by far the most injured player every season and he is on a first name basis with every nurse in the infirmary. No one really looks twice when they see Ted run into a wall or trip over something anymore. Wand: 13 ¼ ”, apple wood, unicorn hair core, nice and supple

Apple wood: “Apple is a gentle, outdoorsy wood that would find favor with a student skilled in Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures. It tends to get overwhelmed easily, and is thus rarely used with powerful cores (multiple dragon heartstrings or phoenix feathers, for example).”

Unicorn hair core: “Unicorn hair is a more subtle wand, but it is quite compatible with Charms and Transfiguration. It is also hands-down the best core for healing, as it picks up some of the healing capabilities of unicorn blood. Unicorn hair has a reputation of picking gentler or more cerebral users, so it is common amongst Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws. More laid-back Gryffindors and subtler Slytherins may find themselves with a Unicorn hair wand.” Boggart: Ted’s boggart is himself, standing alone looking afraid. His biggest fear is losing his family and friends and being the cause of it. He is afraid of saying the wrong things, doing the wrong things, or second guessing himself when it matters most. He knows that as a muggle-born wizard, his existence can cause problems in different situations. He fears what just his existence could mean for those he loves. Patronus: Ted can produce a corporeal patronus in the form of a camel.

Camel: Patience, perseverance, stamina. Camel people are often superbly adapted to their own situation, but rather clumsy and inflexible in others. The camel is a symbol of a strong work ethic and stubborn attitude. While camel people can often be short tempered with small annoyances, they have almost limitless patience for life’s most difficult hurdles. Amortentia Smell: Ted’s amortentia smell consists of three components: snickerdoodles, fresh cut grass, and a smell he can’t quite put his finger on (later revealed to be Andromeda’s perfume). Snickerdoodles remind him on Christmas, his favorite time of the year. His mother always sends him Snickerdoodles once December arrives and there is always an abundance of them at the Tonks household during the holidays. It is his favorite. Fresh cut grass reminds him of the Quidditch pitch, a place he holds dear to his heart. He credits Quidditch as the thing that changed his life in a very positive way- it helped keep him out of trouble and it led him to Andromeda Black. The unidentified smell speaks for itself ;) 2-3 Headcanons:

1. Ted has known time after time that the Hufflepuff Quidditch team could beat the Slytherin team during matches. Once he noticed Andromeda Black, REALLY noticed her, the ambition to fight and win was all over. Though he is very competitive, he may have allowed a few “fumbles” that ended up in her favor. No matter how much he loves scoring points, he loves seeing Andromeda’s happiness even more.

2. Ted keeps a collection of Muggle records. His friendship with Arthur Weasley made him more comfortable to be open about his love of all things in the Muggle word and he proudly shows off his collection when he can. His parents, proud of Ted’s willingness to be open about his muggle-born status, use every holiday as an excuse to buy him a new record and send it to him at Hogwarts. He doesn’t have a particular preference in terms of music- he loves all kinds of music, and his collection certainly reflects that.

3. For many years, Ted questioned why he was put into the Hufflepuff house. His aggression pointed more toward Slytherin, but his protectiveness pointed more toward Gryffindor. Once he joined the Quidditch team in his third year and found it to be a very helpful outlet for his aggression, he was able to focus more on himself and who he truly was. In his fifth year, after a conversation with Arthur about the complexities of a toaster, he realized he was meant to be a Hufflepuff. Nothing pleased him more than the love he had in his heart for his dearest friend, and he realized he’d do anything for him and always be loyal to him. Not only him, but his family, Andromeda, and his other friends. He valued loyalty above all else- Hufflepuff’s greatest trait.

Confident. I mean, it kind of goes without saying for most blood purists, but Lucius is quite clearly an absolutely self-assured person, and there’s next to no way he would ever lose that confidence.

Ambitious. He’s always had high goals for himself, and more important, his family line. He’d never settle for second best.

Passionate. Though it may be for all the wrong reasons and ideals, Lucius has never been one to be half-in or half-out. It’s all or nothing, and he holds the things he cares about very dearly.

Arrogant. Stemming from a privileged upbringing and his purist beliefs, Lucius always oversteps the boundary from simple confidence into cockiness.

Machiavellian. Lucius would do anything to get what he wants, or the ending he believes he (or those he cares about) deserves, even if it meant living in lies and betrayal.

Dogmatic. Lucius is absolutely convinced of his beliefs, and will tear down anyone or anything that disagrees with them.

Boggart: (please provide a brief explanation) More than anything, Lucius is terrified of letting down his family. Therefore, his boggart is simply the form of Abraxas Malfoy, staring at him in disappointment.

Patronus: (please provide a brief explanation) Lucius has not and will not ever produce a patronus - not only because he does not need one, but also because he cannot.

Amortentia Smell: (please provide a brief explanation) The scent of coffee has always comforted Lucius, as has the strong smell of ink, oddly enough (he enjoys writing, and even finds himself enjoying his schoolwork, more often than not).

Lucius pushes himself in every aspect of his life, whether it’s taking the subjects he finds most difficult, or forcing himself out of bed early every morning to run around the grounds. He gets a kick out of accomplishments, and can’t stand simply cruising in life.

In saying that, you can often find him truant from class, either hidden in the library, reading something far more interesting than Binns’ class notes, or on the outskirts of the forest, thinking and plotting his future out for himself.

 We also have an announcement to make: our first Regnum Task will be posted on Friday! It's a really good one that Admin Megan worked hard on and we are so excited for it. Tasks aren't mandatory, but they are highly encouraged!
