It’s a shame that MQ ended and there’s no one AE will spare to work on it anymore. I would have loved to see what Drakath was doing before and after his father was deposed. I imagine that within DF, the rebellion occurred when Drakath was far younger but in MQ, he’s already an adult.
Along those lines, I also had this headcanon where Drakath isn’t skilled in swordplay as he is with mech piloting. Also too bad that mechs in MQ....are kind of ugly... more mq headcanons to come along when I think about this more

Protective Measures
I’ve been obsessed with MQ/Futuristic AUs lately and also have been neglecting the OG ship. Both come together and this is…..very honrey. Yeah. This was supposed to be a lot of world building and a space black market sounded super cool, but it ended up being 80% nut. Well i did end up liking it a lot, my best work these days oops
Ty’s doing Drakath a favour by introducing him to some bigwigs in the intergalactic criminal underground, but is acting strangely for some reason.

I want to have a post about the Valtriths too but wow, the caitiff questline is really long, and honestly very emotionally draining but I’m in all honesty, a peanut gallery weenie. Ah it’s too bad the line is extinguished now. There really could have been some great mileage.

Some Tykath Talk
How about I talk about Tykath for a bit when I want to talk about it all the time?
In relation to the previous talk about Drakath, I believe that he would see many supernatural creatures as an infection festering in his Kingdom. Many of them have slighted him in some way. The lich Sek Duat has been feuding with his family since forever, the Frydae vampires were doing the same, Sepulchure treats him like a dog that’s too stupid to even learn how to sit, and I bet if given the chance the fairies would throw rocks at him for being a prick. Overall, I wouldn’t be surprised if Drakath took it further than only seeing supernatural creatures as a tool, and outright hated all of them.
And Ty, a hero directly opposed to his goals, is obviously supernatural. Her existence is already a curse on him but those superhuman healing abilities, slight glow in her eyes, and something sinister hiding under her gloves gives it all away. Worse, she’s extremely interested in him and he hates being complimented, being saved from his own messes, and listened to intently like she loves to hear him talk. How awful.....................
Tsundereness aside, Drakath’s never been treated this way unless there was an obvious ulterior motive. I believe that there is, going by the fiction of them, that she sees Drakath as an easy target to hunt and play with until the meat ribbons stop moving. It’s just that the Prince doesn’t and can’t see it that way even when it becomes obvious. He needs it; humans aren’t meant to be alone, even the shitty shitty shitty shitty shitty shitty ones. I think Drakath would latch on to something he thought was real like it’s the last drink of water in a desert planet.
Like he’d ever admit that. First, he’d be annoyed that an abomination was slobbering all over him. But wait! Wait wait wait! Let’s say the deal with Sepulchure falls through or that rancid meat sack dares to toss him aside. What’s plan B?
The Hero is well loved by the masses, going out there and leading the masses on like sheep with their “good” deeds. Now, let’s say this Hero favored Drakath and continued to sing his praises. He could hop on this obviously head-over-heels Hero if they manage to beat down Sepulchure, and the idiot peasants would see that Drakath helped them. Perfect! If one plan fails, the other will succeed!
Ty, however, is an actual monster. It was a coincidence that her revenge plots and general hedonistic thirst for blood was targeted at the right beasts. Come the Dark Orb Saga, Ty is doing more and more violent and fearmongering things. Like grinding undead lich’s to a fine dust and letting them exist eternally as souls screaming within their single particles.
That’s shady, maybe don’t do that. The peasants are going to be scared. Maybe don’t set entire swathes of forests and fields on fire if it means burning the enemy. That’s ruining Drakath’s Kingdom; he wants to rule a country, not ashes. Plus, how is his B plan going to succeed if the peasants open their eyes and see that Ty is an insane sadist?
Of all things, Drakath turns into a soothing force for Ty, becoming attuned to what his own morals are and where he draws his line. If he slips, he’s going to destroy what he wanted in the first place.
Then Ty starts to catch feelings (I think), using a gentler hand because the love of the people and her friends have softened the beast. That’s actually great for Drakath, and he’s become soft himself for a happier, more genuine-about-her-feelings Ty.
Then it comes out that she was a homunculus created from the flesh of many, with either no soul or a cursed unknown thing. Like a grotesquerie queen dressing up like a harmless girl. That makes her want to avoid the people she cares about because her very nature as a monster makes her impossible to love and to be loved.
Drakath’s faced with a dilemma. He hates monsters and Ty refuses to believe that she is anything but one. He also can’t say that Ty is the exception cause she is definitely not, and he’s very aware that he’s already said some things along the line of “yes all vampires are blood sucking leeches deserving of the torch, but not you sir!” to get what he wants before finding any way to rid himself of them when become useless. Thinking that way about Ty genuinely disgusts him to his core.
He doesn’t recant that all supernatural beings are nasty, horrid things. Drakath just lumps humans into the mix. It’s not great, let’s be fair here, but for now this is how he says that yknow, he was wrong to hate all supernatural creatures. He only hates those certain few
With that in mind, Ty is the most human person he’s ever met. Why shouldn’t she want pay back for crimes against her? And obviously, if she’s willing to go so far as to do something as stupid as isolate herself, she’s already far better than the mouth breathers. But don’t do that again.......it bothers him......
For some reason (I hope), that makes Ty feel like she’s walking on clouds.

We’re still in the Doomwood, and shifting focus from the Frydae’s, we’re going to talk about the real ruler of the endless night. Safi! Safiria! And I know it’s been a long time but if you’re here by happenchance, thanks for reading!
Before we go into Drakath’s view of the vampire queen, I dearly love the retcon they had with safiria and Frydae!
When she woke up from her 200 year nap, Frydae drooled all over himself and threw himself at her feet for like several years. Safifira herself came off as a fufufuf I’m a scheming villain that may or may not be your friend.
Both, over the time skip, had a huge jump in class and it’s kinda like the writer(s) wanted you to vaguely remember what happened but to disregard it. That’s not important so I’m going to treat it like that too. What happened in book 1 isn’t super important outside of Thursday meeting the hero and getting help with not getting bitten by her grandad. What’s really important is all the stuff in Book 3. I guess I should have mentioned that in the Frydae post.
Neron mentioned in “Bloodwork” that Safiria has been feared for hundreds of years, referring to her as “the ancient Queen,” but has always ruled in the shadows. Even though Neron is a higher ranking member of the Rose with access to information, and would have to be researching because he’s stationed in Amityvale, that kind of talk hints that this knowledge may be common.
He also said that it’s been theorized that she was one of the first vampires. Alive way before the endless nights, knowing the Frydae family well. She’s got such an influence on the area but tends to be primarily concerned with vampire affairs. Darkovia affairs at the most. So I don’t really think she cares that much about the Drakaths. Mortal kingdoms rise and fall all the time. I kind of doubt she’d even bother to remember their names (unless she was just saying that as a calculated flex).
And vice versa if the Drakaths were feuding with the Frydae’s and there’s no evidence of them looking to get Safiria in her sleep. Well, no evidence for now at least.
A few theories to why this is.
One, Darkovia obviously isn’t a very tantalizing bit of land so maybe they left it alone until the stuff with the Frydaes.
Two, let’s say the Drakaths wanted this bit of land but Safiria was wide awake, trying to have a nice night out with Amaris, and would shank anyone looking to ruin it. The Drakath’s aren’t going to admit that they’re shaking in their boots, they’d just say that they didn’t want this stupid Darkovia in the first place. And then they jumped on the Frydaes like that scary brown monster thing on the scary yeti thing from that Christmas card meme the moment safi took her nap.
Three, guess who’s talking about the damn werewolves again. Me…………
Alright look, it’s been mentioned by the devs before that Dragonfable has its own Lore that’s not going to match with the other games. That being said, we could have very similar things, especially from AQ, the progenitor. In that game, lycantropy was also a disease like in DF. But way way back in the past when Drageth Slugwrath was from a line of princes instead of the main King trunk (I don’t know what to call royal family trees), he discovered a small group of people infected by the disease with the help of Seth Cay Dhows (kinda like the mysterious stranger but it gets real complicated). In a bid for the throne, they captured more people to infect, including Constantin who would later become the werewolf king. The werewolves then had a violent clash with Safiria and her vampires. Skip to the present of AQ, Drakath is aware of Seth Cay Dhows and Drageth but may not have knowledge of the entire story.
Probably not how that goes down in DF but it’d be really cool if we ever come back to the origin story or Darkovia in general. If the Drakath’s really did have a hand if spreading lycantropy, then Safiria would have a way bigger grudge to nurse.
As for Drakath’s view of Safiria and vampire-kind in general, I believe he’d hate them? Oh, very surprising.
Well, that is if he believes that Safiria exists. It’s a trope in a lot of work where the arrogant villain insults someone he thinks is just a myth created by dumb peasants, and then Safiria shows up and spanks his skin off. I think it’s a good trope, and I might write it myself if I have to.
Back on track though. Not only are they “invaders” of his family’s territory, touting a false crown when the real throne belongs to him, they’re monsters. Blood sucking, abominations taking the guise of human beings. It could anger him that these beasts are acting sophisticated when they’re leeching off of his land. I imagine the view would get worse having to serve under an undead like Sepulchure.
That’s all lip service though. He’s not going to strike a vampire down on sight the way he is. I think one could bump into him by accident, be polite enough to apologize, and he might start sniveling. In the face of the Vampire queen herself, oh Drakath who? I’m just passing by…
Maybe he’d try to talk down to Safiria for a bit if he had some support from the shadowscythe’s forces before backing down again. Safiria just has that pressure around her, that makes you really think twice, and Drakath isn’t dumb enough to push too hard. He will a little, and if he ever gets his throne back, he’d throw warm body after warm body into Doomwood to get back at her for staring at him in such a scary way.
And that’s if she’s nice. If Safiria rips him to shreds with her words like every other dumbass that treads too close, he’s going to die. He’s going to start foaming at the mouth at how bad he’s getting dressed down. Missed opportunities T_T
#(Tentative Decrees)#(Scribe Speaks)#oh dear it's been so long#This was also all over the place#but it's cathartic to put it all in writing

i know this is probably, never going to come back from the grave. but hey, drakath, having issues with that swordhand? well i got you something! it's called a gun
The contraptions those pirates use? If it didn’t take ten minutes to reload, I may take you up on your offer. Of course, I do prefer my sword. It and sophisticated swordplay are what divide myself from the dirty riff raff.
Wait, did you insinuate that I have trouble merely holding a sword? How dare you!
And if anyone has that clearly stupid question on their mind, yes this sword is mine. All swords in the Kingdom are mine!

Oh right! I had a conversation about what the Water Orb saga would be like if Drakath went with Ty. He nags Ty when she fishes for leisure so he would be there when she gets dragged down. Since her character isn’t able to be swayed by any mind control or magical compelling, wouldn’t most of her stress come from her fear of being in the ocean a long with her own stress as the Hero and the other self. Drakath would enjoy it immensely. Not Ty suffering but the fact that she has to depend on him and he gets to be the stronger of the two which he gets burned out from really fast when the rest of the people in the locker start talking to walls.
He would get ideas. The bottom of the Ocean isn’t a place to live but a good place to stuff prisoners or nay-sayers.

🍶 a potion and a poison if u wouldn't mind?
Send 🍶 to see my muse as a potion.
The potion is contained in a needlessly detailed bottle that very well could account for a large chunk of the price merchants are willing to sell for. Silver is embedded into the glass, thought to have changed colors when the contents become impure in some way. The liquid itself seems like mercury if it was dark green. Provides a short and sharp confidence boost if one is nervous about an upcoming public speech. Warning, quality of said speech may fall.
With the poison, you’d be using it to ruin someone’s reputation rather than kill or make them seriously ill. The container should be wrapped in something opaque, otherwise the poison is very noticeable. While the container is also made of pitch black glass, the poison is volatile and may strip the color just from its movement. The color is comically purple and should be dunked in something fizzy. Your victim will lose inhibitions, turn everything grandiose, generally cause a scene, and spit at everyone they have even the slightest animosity for. Good to use if you’re not the kind to yell “I Object!” at a wedding.

Send 🍶 to see my muse as a potion.
The bottleis a sharp thing, having a pointed nozzle at the end. Though the glass may betranslucent, it is easy to see the purple sludge inside. If one were to tip thebottle over, the contents would refuse to move, sticking stubbornly to the bottomof its container. But given the chance to leave for better sights, the liquidwill become viscous, practically jettisoning out of the bottle. Then, it seepsin to what is most likely a throat. Rather than fall, it actively sinks intothe flesh, seeking and settling. Definitely the victim will have unendingenergy and drive for their goals but will never sleep again. The afflicted tendto be testier, much less of a friend than before if they were at all.

Would the dynamic change if Thrusday was a little sister to Drakath instead of an enemy noble?
While I would like to humor the idea of Drakath being the evil Prince with only a single soft spot for his little sis, I’m sad to say that condition could make things worse. While Thursday would not be in direct competition with him for the throne, being a younger sibling and a girl, at best Drakath would think of her as a tool. Someone to marry off strategically when the time comes. At worst, Thursday would be competition to him in other areas. Affection being chief among them. Not from the father but from the people. I have no doubt that if Thursday snuck out even once, she would be favored very much and strive to do better by her people. Seeing a shift in public opinion, I can imagine Drakath in his mid to late teens planning to have her assassinated. In the context of the rebellion that happened, Thursday would have a good chance of being seated on the throne with Alteon as adviser or she would gladly step aside for someone she thought would treat the people better. Then, Drakath would have two people sharing the title of his most hated foe; the usurper and a traitor to her own bloodline.
#(Scribe speaks)#the matter is much more dynamic and maybe I will delve into this some time later#And as his track record shows#Drakath doesn't show his humanity unless someone does worse than him#so poor Thursday#she would go easy on him too#what with what happened with her and bad bad grandad Frydae

Drakath how are things with you and Ty's siblings?
As if oneof that freakish Hero wasn’t enough but she has siblings. I only know two andthere should only be two. There could possibly be more and it would serveuseful to know if there are others determined to meddle in my matters. I commissionedspies to find information on Ty’s family but that has proven as effective asfeeding iron to cows. And the cows died.
There isthe option to ask her directly, if I was absolutely raving mad. No doubt Iwould receive a straight forward answer—but that’s nonsense! I would never comegroveling to a peasant for simple questions! Wait, I could demand questions! My men and I will ambush her or her kin, perhaps takea hostage, and drag those answers out of her! Ha! I will throw money andresources away to save my pride in these matters, don’t judge me, you trash.
The twothat I do know are, however, disturbing. Not overtly so. Subtly, even more so thanTy if you can believe that.
Alouette isslime; covered from head to toe in snake oil. She uses shallow looks and wordsto butter up those fools in Falconreach, duping them into being blind to the truemonstrosity that she is. When I am King, I’ll wipe those sorts of monsters fromthe land; those who wear the faces of others. What face did she wear when shehad to gall to face me? Nothing that fazed me in the slightest. Not my mother, not my father, no one.
Eric issimilar and completely different all at once. Don’t misunderstand me; I hatehim. I despise that silver tongue to the bowls of my very soul. Was not thefirst time I saw him in Sho Nuff? Yes, it was. That crook lies without tellinglies! He incites anger for his own enjoyment, like his demon spawn of a littlesister. Worse yet, it is ostensibly easy for him to walk up to enemies and makeaccomplices out of them. Tools if they’re stupid, which I am not. I havedecided to use him instead. Despite his girlish looks, he is a skilledinformant with a good eye trained on Swordhaven and the other on his ownsister. In exchange for this wellspring of opportunities, I don’t need to lifta finger! Merely speak with him and give him news about Sepulchure. Of course, Ilie to him and he nods and smiles. For such an extensively prepared spy, youwould think he’d know better!
…Though Ido have reservations about speaking too much. There was something indescribableabout the way he made our deal. I would say ‘dangerous’ and yet, the act ofagreement was enjoyable. Impossible to let escape.
#(Queries)#In a manner of speaking#he sees that they're dangerous#pretends to treat them as fools when he knows there's a high#chance of being duped#but does so anyway because of something he can't name#and at the same time#doesn't think they're dangerous specifically to him which I think he's half and half right

Hiatus is almost over (not that I did a lot directly before) since my exams are just about done. One more and I can really get into things. First priority are the questions in my inbox, then I want to do shippy one shots or prod at an older ship RP, churn out the next write up about other royal families, and then maybe think about trying new RPs though I am still anxious about those.
Hm, I don’t know which royal family I should tackle next. Maybe Valtriths but I’m not too too feeling it quite yet. Same with the Alteons. Oh jeez, who does that leave?
#(scribe speaks)#and the children!#there hasn't been a lot of interaction actually written down about Drakath and Domitian yet

AE RP Masterlist
Hello tumblrfable and beyond. I’ve been seeing a lot more people curious of any other AE RPers on tumblr so I decided to compile a list of AE RPers. The list is not all encompassing (at least not yet) as I doubt I’ve come across all AE RPers on this site so please message me if you know of any I’ve missed any or if you’re the owner of a blog listed and don’t wish to have your name on here. Also this post merely lists all known blogs, I do not wish to list statuses. Some blogs appear more than once as they have verses to more than one AE fandom. Go forth and battleon!
