Some women are conditioned to be fragile and weak, and to believe that it's a sin to outperform a man. Her feminism would involve allowing women to be strong.
Some women are expected to be strong at times when they can't. Her feminism would involve reassuring her that it's okay to not be strong.
Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're too stupid to ever amount to anything. Their disability activism would involve reassuring them that they're capable.
Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're smart and gifted, and are expected to live up to impossible standards. Their disability activism would involve allowing them to fail, make mistakes, be stupid, etc.
Some children are constantly reminded "you're the child, I'm the adult" in order to deny their autonomy. Their youth rights activism would involve treating them like an adult at times when they feel ready for it.
Some children are treated like adults in order to justify increased expectations or to downplay abuse against them. Their youth rights activism would involve allowing them to be a child.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution to oppression. Each individual person's experience is different. Whatever trauma is caused by their oppression, the activism should focus on undoing it.

PSA: no name is impossible to pronounce. no name is too hard to learn, no name is justifiably butchered. kids with 'different' names should be taught again and again that being called by their name is a right, not a privilege

If there's anything that drives home how much Parker's grown since season 1 its the Girls' Night Out Job where she says "I don't want money." which three seasons ago would be a very un-Parker-like sentence.

ship and let ship
and
if an underrepresented group asks you to be respectful about a character’s identity, you should respect that character’s identity
are two statements that can and should coexist
#idk ship and let ship is a lot easier to follow when said ship isn’t ignoring or erasing a characters identity#this ship is about aspec characters (and yelena belova) but also applies to any identity!#for example: lesbians asking people to respect a lesbian character and not ship her with a man#same thing applies with aspec characters: when aspecs ask you to respect an aspec character (and not ship them) you should listen#and obviously there are always going to be people who are shipping whatever they want. there’s no way to stop that or force everybody to#respect that characters identity. however! when it’s a large chunk of the fandom#when it’s half or more of a fandom ignoring a canon identity—that’s super frustrating! it means the majority of fandom content is ignoring#an underrepresented identity! and that sucks! it’s really hard to ship and let ship when these ships are literally everywhere and permeating#every fanart/fanfic/fan created media#okay tag ramble over. i shall get to the pertinent tags now#ship and let ship#aroace#aspec characters#idek how to tag this#fandom culture#aroace erasure#queer erasure#etc etc#reinanova rambles

I forgot how hilarious The Juror #6 job is. The episode opens with Nate trying to socialize his crime daughter by having her do civil service. "There is not some evil conspiracy lurking behind the curtain of every routine civic activity." *four minutes later* "Uh, apparently there is an evil conspiracy lurking behind the curtain of every routine civic activity." Brent Spiner plays a hippie spiritualist pharmacist. We have to get Parker from thinking hiding knives in food is a good prank to having her charm an entire room of people. The kids leave for the day and Nate and Sophie line up at the door; they hand Hardison his briefcase, Parker her sacked lunch, and they present Eliot with the exciting news that today is the day he is going to be hit with a car.

"save me, substance abuse!" i cry. before you can moralize to me about the dangers of addiction, a noble and powerful steed gallops into the room - my horse whom i have named "substance abuse". you learn an important lesson about making assumptions. i snort a line off its back

i personally think gifmaking should be a paid marketing strategy and gifmakers should be given special hd files through legal channels by networks in order to ensure proper promotion of their show with minimum effort on their part

Apparently there’s a “kids shouldn’t be allowed in grocery stores” thing being spread on TikTok because they might scream or run around and look yeah that’s annoying but at a certain point you’ve gotta just put up with kids being a little annoying in public. Sure the kid pouring milk in the isles is the fault of a shitty parent and should be asked to leave, but a single mom with an otherwise controlled by crying toddler isn’t doing anything wrong. I think you’ll live if someone’s two year old starts screaming in their arms in isle 3. It might be annoying but that mom is probably having a worse day than you
