Reincarnation of a Fool
206 posts
Hello, my name is Vanille. I am from Germany and this is a blog about my travel photography. I share some of my stories that happened during my journeys too. In 2012/13 I spent a whole year in Japan so you'll find lots of photos from that time. After that I was in Australia and now I'm living in the UK. Photos and stories from there will follow!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a side blog so I'm sorry I can't follow back!

I really liked how this shot turned out. It’s been my blog’s background ever since I took it.

I miss taking my bicycle and just ride around Kyoto until I find a pretty shrine.

The Gion Matsuri in Kyoto is one of the most popular summer festivals in Japan and is visited by many people from all over the country (and world). The most impressive about this festival is the massive parade.
I was stunned by the huge floats that where pushed, pulled and carried through the Gion district by Japanese man and woman. (and it must have been one of the hottest days of the year too)

I was lucky enough to see the Gion Matsuri and its many lanterns which made the whole place look magical.
