A lot of people ask me what my biggest fear is, or what scares me most. And I know they expect an answer like heights, or closed spaces, or people dressed like animals, but how do I tell them that when I was 17 I took a class called Relationships For Life and I learned that most people fall out of love for the same reasons they fell in it. That their lover’s once endearing stubbornness has now become refusal to compromise and their one track mind is now immaturity and their bad habits that you once adored is now money down the drain. Their spontaneity becomes reckless and irresponsible and their feet up on your dash is no longer sexy, just another distraction in your busy life. Nothing saddens and scares me like the thought that I can become ugly to someone who once thought all the stars were in my eyes.

Something woke up in me and I returned to my Mettaton obsession phase, so here's the oh so amazing Mettaton.

He lost all his robot glory and barely resembles Mettaton at all, but it's the thought that counts. Like Hatsune Miku. (let me cope)

OooHHh but imagine it's a late night after long shoots on set, the sunset in the background, Mettaton forgets his lighter, Tenna reaching over and gently lighting the others cigarette, their eyes meeting for a moment before the light takes and the two have to separate? The tension? The slow burn? The drama? Help, I am deeply unwell.

Thanks to a handful of gorgeous fanart, I'm really loving the idea of Tenna as a smoker backstage/offscreen. It's super fitting, considering the everything he's going through (poor guy needs some way to cope and of course he wouldn't be healthy about it, but also I HIGHLY doubt he'd consider drinking) + holy shit EVERYONE was smoking pre-2000s. And of course the next logical step my braincells took was the mettatenna potential of it all, like sharing cigarettes backstage during breaks and being super noir/old Hollywood about it. Guess I'll just add this to the fanfic wips pile lolsob.
