My vision for the Friedrich Harding (aka my headcanons for him coz he became one of my fav side characters)

1. I actually imagine that Anna, Ellen, Thomas and Friedrich go o the same church and that's when they first meet each other. This is probably when they are still kindergarteners and their parents would let them play in the garden outside the church while Mass was going on. Ellen's dad would't let her play with them though, and she gets the reputation as the "weird" kid. That's how Friedrich viewed her throughout their childhood as well.

2. I feel like Thomas' family decided to attend a different church when they turned older, meanwhile Ellen's family would attend Mass irregularly. It's only Anna who'd always attend the sermons, eventually becoming one of the servers there. She's like that popular church kid, and Freidrich would mainly visit Mass for her. Church romance LOL HAHAHAH

3. Friedrich meets Thomas again in college, and they become close to the hip. Friedrich was ofc, very popular, being one of the best fencers and wooing a lotta the ladies. On top of coming from an important noble family in Wisburg, he was very charming and would often take on a number of leadership roles in university. He also had a lotta flings which his father disapproved of. I feel like his dad really wanted Friedrich to uphold the Harding name with honor.

4. Basically Friedrich's entire life was already planned from the get go. He was to inherit his father's business and continue their legacy, aaand it's a lot of pressure.

5. Freidrich loves to go hunting in his free time. It was something he did to bond with his dad and friends.

6. Friedrich can be a really judgemental person LOL, esp to those he views as deviant (like Ellen). However, he hides it all under politeness and good manners.

7. Friedrich and Thomas dynamic is a fun one to expand upon. Thomas really looks up to Friedrich, envying him and wanting to be like him. Friedrich enjoys all the attention and can have a bit of an ego, however, he does genuinely want to help Thomas succeed as well. But I feel like Friedrich can be really bossy thinking he's got everything figured out and that what Thomas needs to do his just follow him and the rules. Another thing, we've already seen how Friedrich is really generous to his bestie (besides, he's got plenty of money to spare) and I feel like he doesn't really care if Thomas gets to pay back his loan or not. It's moreso of Thomas wanting to prove himself and being embarrassed of being unable to give back the money Friedrich lent him.

8. I imagine Friedrich has heard a lot of rumours regarding Ellen and her family, and he meets her again when Anna's family throws a ball in their house. Ellen seemed really anti-social though and he grows to dislike her even more.

9. The first time Thomas admitted to being engaged with a woman named "Ellen", Friedrich's first feeling was disapproval because he's concerned about what this would mean for Thomas's future. There were also rumours of Ellen having some experience with the occult. But Thomas seemed to happy talking about her so Friedrich hesitantly supports him.

10. Friedrich carries an air of superiority around him because he's like, the Victorian ideal of what a man should be.

Pondering the orb for my next Nosferatu art piece...got a few choices:

1. Anna and Friedrich clotheswap 👹

2. Angsty Ellen art with crow symbolism

3. Ellen's bitter resentment towards Friedrich (these two got beef y'all just saying and I wanna explore it BAD)

4. THE GANG AS CHILDREN. Let these Victorian kids run wild at the graveyard as their playground. (I have certain headcanons about their history together and how each of them met the other....)

This one is for the Ellen/Thomas enjoyers out there. AU takes place after the events of Nosferatu. Thomas gets depressed and goes back to the Orthodox Church that saved him. Ellen becomes a vampire.
