Hello all!! It has been such a long time since our guild has been active here on tumblr, but I'm excited to announce that we are open for recruiting again!!

Rest has just celebrated it's 1st Year anniversary on December 6th of this year, and there couldn't be a better time to open up our small community to more members! Although, there are no requirements to join, our only request is that you are respectful to our members, and make the most of your stay in our guild!

yeahyeahye!! Sabina’s Fashion Show contest on Ruairi! o/ Rest + Academic + Lapis guild, and friends!!!

Rest Guild is hosting another contest! Find an ancient monster anywhere in Erinn that strikes your fancy, and give us its life story! Is it cute, but deceptively vicious? Did it kill entire villages of Tuathans? Is it your faithful pet?! Allow us to gather around the proverbial campfire with you as you spin us your Ancient’s exciting tale.

Rules/Guidelines:

This contest is open to all Mabinogi players, regardless of server. You do not have to be in the Rest guild.

Include your IGN, Server and screenshot of you and the Ancient monster you chose when submitting your story.

The monster you’ve chosen can be any monster in Erinn, as long as it is a monster with “the Ancient" title.

Story must be a minimum of 1 paragraph long

Keep it “PG”, no overly adult themes, please.

Judging will be based on creativity and overall execution of story

Theme is up to you and can incorporate Mabinogi’s storyline or completely veer off of that path.

Prizes!:

Three (3) winners will be chosen and will receive a fully colored 'derp' drawing done by hip of Ruairi/tulhip​ (similar to the banner art)

Must be made by someone in the group that is performing it

that means no MabiMML

Songs do NOT have to be an original composition, they can be from an anime/video game/whatever

Songs can be solo or in an ensemble

Before playing your song, you must give a brief explanation why your song fits the theme above. (We won’t deny you the chance to play based on your reason)

Poems:

Must be written by the performer

Do not steal someone else’s poem

You can use one you wrote in the past, just as long as you are the one that wrote it

There are no prizes and there will be no judging of material presented during the event. It is just a chill hangout for us to share songs, poems, and memories of our time here on Mabinogi.

♥ What is this event about? In short, the Couple’s Relay is a race around the towns of Uladh, with several stops along the way! You and a partner will race against others to complete each stop and make it back to the Unicorn Statue in Dunbarton for a chance to win some great prizes!

RULES AND GUIDELINES ♥ PLEASE, PLEASE, read all directions before getting confused!! Everything should be simple! ♥ NO PETS and NO use of speed enhancements!!! (this includes speed pots, fleet feet, demigod, wavesweeper, etc.) ♥ If ANYONE is caught using any of these, they will be warned and will be disqualified if caught again. ♥ Moon gates ARE an acceptable use of transportation! ♥ Try to stay with your partner! It is a couple's relay race, anyhow. ♥ Keep track of your Proof of Completion (music) scrolls! You will need to turn in ALL 6 at the finish line! ♥ HAVE FUN!! (really, please do, we just want you to have fun, it's not all about the competition ♥)

♥THE CLUES

STARTING POINT - DUNBARTON UNICORN STATUE

STOP 1 - DUNBARTON - Making Brownies 

"Yuujin and kanekki have a massive sweet tooth, but poor planning skills! They managed to get a ridiculous amount of Wheat Flour for brownies, but they have no clue how to finish what they started! Your job is to gather the remaining ingredients and make the brownies to help out these poor people. Once you cook the brownies, trade the dish to either Yuujin or kanekki to receive proof of completion!"

you will need: Cooking Pot, Ladle, rF cooking, brownie recipe is here (wheat flour WILL BE PROVIDED FOR YOU, trade Yuujin for it)

STOP 2 - ALBY DUNGEON - The Ancient Scroll 

“It is said that deep in the dark catacombs of Alby Normal, past a fearsome spider guardian, an ancient love poem lays in wait for a couple to retrieve it. It’s even rumored to be a fantastic good luck charm! The only condition to find it is....you have to fight bare-handed! Bring back the love poem (enchant scroll) you find at the end of Alby Normal back and give it to either Anonsayshi or Oktayvia to receive proof of completion!”

you will need: something to drop on the Alby altar

STOP 3 - PORT COBH - High or Low

 “A non-conventional couples’ past-time is gambling! Of course I’m not lying! Shut up. This stop is simple: correctly guess High or Low on the dice rolled by Edeott or Antiel to receive proof of completing this stop!

you will need: nothing

STOP 4 - BARRI DUNGEON - Ores for Rings 

“Valentines is a popular time for proposals! As such, engagement rings are likely in extremely high demand, and Candymew and steven666 want to do their part to help! Your job is to go into Barri normal and come back with the VERY FIRST ore you two mine! When you hand either Candymew or Steven the ore, you’ll get proof of completion...and maybe a helpful hint for the next stop!"

you will need: a pickaxe, something to drop on the Barri altar extra details: You do NOT need to complete the dungeon!! Simply change channels, or run back to the goddess statue to return to the lobby.

STOP 5 - TAILLTEANN - Return Hip’s Tulip

“Oh geez! Hip ran off to do something and Sun lost sight of him...and to top it off, Hip forgot his precious tulip! Meet Sun at the East entrance to Taillteann to retrieve Hip’s Tulip, and find him somewhere in Taillteann! Maybe that scroll you got from Candymew or Steven could help narrow down Hip’s location…?”

STOP 6 - EMAIN MACHA - Seduce Tomo

“Tomoyaa and Emikochan both really like Huw...but they have no idea how to talk to him! Show them the ropes of romance and show them how to pull Huw’s Heart Strings- use your corniest pick up line or romantic pun on Tomoyaa to woo him...and to get the last proof of completion!

you will need: nothing

DUNBARTON - Finish Line “You’ve completed all the stops! How admirable! Haul your romantic butts back to the Unicorn Statue from whence you came to find the one who orchestrated this entire event... Have one partner trade Caravan Joe (Yuujin) all 6 of your Proof of Completion scrolls to complete the event..!”
