chimney once watched his own brother die doing a job that he followed him into. now he has to grapple with the fact that one of his closest friends is dead from the same virus that he was cured from. buck once told bobby that he couldn’t handle seeing the people he loved hurt and he hated to be the guy standing there doing nothing about it. and he had to watch from the other end of a sealed glass door as bobby said goodbye, knowing in his heart that this time there was nothing he could do. hen became a paramedic to help people, to save people. but this time, she didn’t even know that bobby needed saving. eddie wasn’t even there. he joined the fire department because he missed the camaraderie of the army. that team became his family. but in the end, he wasn’t even there. no one’s beating them in the survivor’s guilt department. the only man who probably could is dead so…

The fact that this episode would’ve been such a good and intense episode and probably had way higher ratings if THAT didn’t happen.

I will say it was definitely whiplash, instead of Bobby and the rest of his team returning unscathed with some minor injuries and more trauma to their families in classic 9-1-1 plot armor fashion, this happened…

And as pissed as I am with last night’s episode ending I will that all of the actors did phenomenal in their performances and absolutely killed it. Especially the ending scene with Peter and Angela that absolutely ripped my heart out. Just made me think of their near-death moment on the cruise ship and now apparently she’s lost him for real.

I wanted more Ravi Panikkar screen time and Ravi main but at what cost???

i can't stop thinking about bobby's GROWTH throughout all these seasons, overcoming his addiction and suicidal ideation and trauma and near deaths and everything that has been caused by him or thrown at him.

i specifically can't stop thinking about the plane crash episode in season 1 where he relapses and finally opens up to hen and buck, asking for help, finally choosing to start getting better. he improved so much just to die in the end.

not to mention his season 7 death of around 13 minutes; he died, was revived, quit his 118 job, came back to his 118 job, and then died again. all in the span of a season.

what.

i don't know what to think about all this, if he'll come back or not. what if peter's goodbye letter is PR and it's just gonna be a buried alive situation as said in the leaked script, what if the leaked script is PR (probably is)??

it'a just so sad that someone who finally got to live happily after going through hell for years, dies a death that could've been prevented by good old fashioned 9-1-1 plot armor

+bonus sadness depression grief mourning terrible horrible sadness: athena has lost every man. dead, gay, presumed dead. shit's giving 6 wives of king henry VIII. divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.

but fr.. poor athena will be alone for the first time in a long time, no bedrooms (besides the guest one) for her kids in the house, and a dead husband. somebody save this woman

Ummm so if anyone here has any bucktommy fix-it recommendations that show Buck finding out his father figure is in fact alive after sobbing in his lover’s arms about losing him momentarily I just need something to cope right now. 🙃

Are the 9-1-1 showrunners and writers trying to sabotage their successful show? **MAJOR 9-1-1 SPOILERS**

It makes no sense from a writers and show runners standpoint to deliberately make a decision to kill off a main character, the heart of the show since it very first started, off of a show that’s been doing so well and going up in ratings. Especially after it’s seen some bad days with how meh season 5 and 6 were, and that 7 and 8 were bringing 9-1-1 closer to what made the fans fall in love with it.

Also, aside from Angela Bassett being in this show, I feel like Bobby was what the more common viewer and then the more intense fans had in common when it came to one of their favorite parts of the show, Bobby is hugely integral to 9-1-1 and the firefam as a whole. Why would you even want to piss of your common viewers, which is what really brings you attention to the show?

Unless it’s some sort of fake-out it doesn’t make sense at all. And I’m so pissed and depressed especially after hearing Peter Krause didn’t even really want to make an exit and this was the air headed show runner’s decision. I don’t even think a Ravi begins or a canon Buddie event would bring back my love for this show if Bobby is truly not coming back.

In the meantime I need something to cope with so if any of you have any bucktommy fix-it fic recommendations where for a split second Buck along with everyone else believes he’s dead and Tommy tries to comfort him while we find out just kidding he’s not actually dead because seeing Buck fall apart after losing his father figure and Tommy watching his lover fall apart truly turned me into a blubbering mess.

Coming back from the dead to let Tim Minear know I’m in his walls and that he just made the shittiest writing decision ever by killing Bobby off. I don’t even wanna watch this show no more I’m so serious, I don’t even think a Ravi begins or canon Buddie will really make me enjoy it, it’ll be the only thing I’ll look forward to. You were doing so good and the ratings were doing so well, why’d you fuck it up man?

I’ve seen ppl doing different versions of their art progress throughout the year, and I usually do a month to month review type showcase for the end of the year but I didn’t feel like it lol, so I just did another redraw from the beginning of 2024.

I am happy with the progress I’ve made art-wise, had some crazy style changes, lots of fun opportunities to draw awesome characters, participated in my second year of art fight and got a lot more attacks in then the previous year, and managed to complete my first October prompt challenge with Birdtober, with the exception of one break day due to traveling.

going into 2025 I plan on being a lot more lenient on myself, frustration certainly doesn’t equal progress for me, unless progress is one step back that is haha. Anyway, glad to be sharing my art journey with you guys, the support is amazing and encouraging even if I never have much words to express that 💜
