Dear Aima,

I got assigned to field duty today with Kasen, I don't know why he keeps on complaining about the dirt. Because all those who I must exact revenge on will all be buried in the same dirt. Kasen says that I shouldn't say that about the fields we're growing vegetables in, but I heard from Yagen that dead bodies provide excellent fertilizer. Kasen passed out from hearing that. Souza-niisan and Kousetsu-niisama called me down for lunch but laughed at how much dirt I was covered by. It's been... a long time since I've seen Kousetsu-niisama with a smile on his face, I should go to field duty more often. Since Kasen would refuse to do it if I'm not there. After eating, I went back to tending the fields, we're growing oba leaves and bramble this season. I want to share some with you because... you don't currently have anyone to exact revenge on and thought you should try it first. It's evening now but if you have time, can you read me a story, I like the way you tell them to me. Also whenever Kasen tells them, it's too detailed and he forgets what the story is about.

Tattoo Artist!Ookurikara (AU)

♡ Ookurikara always had a fascination with tattoos from the moment he saw someone having one on their body. Beautiful art to shine proudly on your skin.

♡ Ookurikara had always been a shy kid throughout his school life. Often kept to himself. He had a group of friends but they were all much more outgoing than he was so he stayed by himself often.

♡ He liked doing art! He might of not been the best artist in the whole school but he had pride with his own artwork. Never showing it to anyone. Each drawing he would create during the middle of the class was him playing out ideas of what he wanted for the first tattoo.

♡ A Black Dragon.

♡ People often found Ookurikara scary during his school days because compared to Shokudaikiri and Tsurumaru, he didn't smile and was always quiet with eyes that looked like he was glaring out to the whole world.

♡ People started to call him the dragon of the school and whispered rumors of how he is scary and probably part of a gang.

♡ It honestly hurt. He would never tell anyone but he didn't want to get involved with anyone in case the rumors also would target them.

♡ Tsurumaru and Shokudaikiri were two friends he had since he was rather young so there is no way he could tell them to stop being friends with them but he did keep his distance from them while at school.

♡ The two would always fight the rumors when they heard it but it's not like just their voices would make them stop, no matter how untrue they were.

♡ It was during this time, Ookurikara would walk around a lot to clear his head when he got home because he didn't want anyone else to worry about him if he seemed upset.

♡ That is when he stumbled upon a hidden tattoo parlor. It was a very clean place that was further out than the rest of the shops. They seemed busy in their own right with people coming in and out often.

♡ That is where Ookurikara found himself often, admiring the art from afar and watching the artists do their work. Often sketching his own designs outside on a bench.

♡ A bell would ring one day as he was sketching away in the sunlight. He thought it was just a customer coming out from his appointment to leave but instead a voice spoke out to him.

♡ "You know the art is much easier to see inside, right?" He turned to see one of the artists standing in the doorway, speaking to him. He would later find out that artist was actually the owner of the place.

♡ Anxiety taking hold of him, he quickly started to pack up to leave. They were probably sick of him hanging out of their shop everyday.

♡ "I saw a glimpse of your designs... They are really good. Would you like to work in tattooing one day?" He would call again, causing Ookurikara to stop and look at him. A small nod but no words as he clenched his notepad in his arms.

♡ That is what started where Ookurikara would start to learn the practice of tattooing on people. Never actually doing it but listening to him speak as he inked the person. Telling him all the right ways to do it and what he should never do.

♡ The day that a person came in with a large scar on their back, asking for a phoenix to come out of their scar.

♡ He was a little confused. He saw before people getting tattoos to cover their scars... but to make it part of the art?

♡ "We all have things that have hurt us in our life but that makes us human and who we are today. Why let those things bring us down when we can use them as our strength?"

♡ They could see his eyes begin to glow as he began to sketch his first tattoo... A Black Dragon.

♡ At first, a name he held with resentment was now becoming a source of his strength.

♡ It was the tattoo owner that did his first tattoo when he was old enough and could pay for it. He would never tell Ookurikara but he cut the price in half for his student.

♡ Ookurikara would work for him for a while until after his final years of schooling where he would move and start up his own shop to give more people a way to express themselves with the art on their body and to find pride in the things they once called a weakness.
