Marva here (she/her). Reylo shipping trash since 2015. It'll be canon by the end of the year and I can't wait. Come talk to me about your feelings, star wars or otherwise! And my ask box is always open.

in my head the star wars equivalent of tswift is some human woman named tay’lor spiff or something and her stans are losing their minds over theories that she’s secretly a jedi singing about the horrors of war, even though she’s from a neutral system that hasn’t seen so much as a moral panic in 50 years

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.
I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!
From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!
I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.
The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.
(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)
If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.
The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.
insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box
add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box
delete -> self explanatory
on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic
The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.
Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

There's no irony in the way I like Reylo.
I like Reylo ironically. But....sometimes.... I also....
unironically.................................

I still think it’s so funny that the universal Reylo shipping experience is loving it for the potential it had, while simultaneously hating what it turned out to be in canon
And that’s something that only the people who ship it can comprehend

Based on THAT text post
This is canon, it has to be. You can't convince me that at some point in A New Hope, or in the OT, this didn't happen.
I realized I haven't drawn much (if not, none at all) of the original trilogy though I think it was the best.
I hate anatomy. I hate drawing weapons. But I also hate myself so I thought why not draw Leia with a blaster.

u'know what? there's something really intimate in addressing ur favorite character by their first name only instead of their full name. it feels like saying "hey, this my homie !! look at them !! this my bro !! i know them personally and they're my best friend <3"

Howdy friends. Not Reylo related but this is some of my original writing so I'm sharing it here, hope you don't mind and possibly give it a read if it looks interesting to you. Have a great day!

Yo, so, I started writing this story about a girl named Dalia. She has been turned into a vamp recently… except being a vampire isn’t glamorous the way tv sometimes makes it seem???? it’s actually a lot like having a chronic illness???? What a rip-off!!!!
Read my humorous take on chronic illness through the lens of vampire shenanigans.
Context: I was diagnosed with a chronic illness about 18 months ago. The novelty has started to wear off and the day-to-day pain and suffering have started to settle into my life and this book is my response. Some days really really suck and I don’t know what to do. I want to talk about my experience or just rant about my pain, but I don’t just want to dump on the people in my life all the time or depress myself by just ranting angrily into my journal.
This story is a place where I can take the core of my experience and place it into something productive and silly and perhaps reach others who have a similar experience with chronic illness.
I hope you’ll read and share this little story and enjoy it as I get a little bit real and a little bit fake all at the same time.
