what do you think of minors reading smut/explicit fanfic? even more, minors writing and posting them?

Mostly I think that’s an issue for them and their parent or legal guardian and not something that I can do anything about. 

I grew up without internet and I still managed to get access to porn because my dad had magazines. Kids and teens will find a way, if they’re curious. If I’ve tagged my smut and rated it M or E, then I’ve done my part. If they choose to accept the adult content warning and proceed, then that’s on them, not me.

As for younger people writing that content? I have no idea what the ages of AO3 writers are so I have no idea if what I’m reading was written by someone who’s 15 or 30 or 75. If the writing’s good, I don’t really care?  If it’s not, then I quietly back out and find another fic.

okay time for another random tangent that is completely unrelated to anything that I write but--

why does it seem like people who write Royal anything seem to have no idea how ascension to the throne seems to work. Like they'll make a whole plot about how a princess will marry some high ranking guy so that he'll become the next king when that??? is not how it goes???

Ascending to the throne has little to do with who you marry and everything to do with how close you are to the throne by blood. No matter what, blood will trump marriage any day, even if the person that is related to said royalty is female, she will ultimately have more of a right to the throne than, say, the dying queen's husband. Because, by blood, the husband is not part of the royal lineage. He married into it.

Sure, a man will probably always be picked before the woman to take the throne, but only if he is related to that royal family by blood and is of age. If a man marries a princess and that princess becomes queen, he does not become king of the country. He becomes a prince consort. And say if the queen then dies, he still does not become king, either their children become the next ruler or someone else from her family, like her cousin or nephews, depending on their age and popularity amongst the nobles who do have a slight say in who takes the throne.

I truly don't know why I'm making this post, but for some reason this has started to really get on my nerves recently. Ascension to the throne is blood based people!

random thoughts about hero society

has anyone noticed that BNHA sort of villainizes reporters/the media? Maybe it's just me and because of the country I grew up in, but I've always seen the media's role in society as important to make sure that the lawmakers and the law enforcers are kept in check.

this isn't a criticism, by the way, just a thought that I've been having for a bit now regarding the show.

Overall I've also just been thinking about the role of heroes in the BNHA universe. In a weird socio-political way. Like, how do they actually get paid? By the public, through the government and taxes? Or are the different agencies considered private companies, so they earn their money through other means, like say add appearances and so on. Maybe a mix of both, I honestly have no clue.

this, again, isn't even criticism, this is just some parts that I personally find fascinating in worlds like the one in BNHA, and I wanted to share my rather disconnected thoughts

I do not care that there are angry adults blocking you for not having your private information out in the open, but there are legitimate dangers to putting that stuff out there.

Sure, some adults won't use that information for anything bad, but who says there won't be a predator who will see it? There are more dangers of putting it out there than not.

The same goes for your triggers. Don't post it on a carrd in your bio, just block those tags. There are awful people on this website who will use this to purposefully trigger you.

Keep yourself safe on the internet and be careful with who you share your personal information with!

writing should be fun.

make oc playlists. spend hours on moodboards that have no purpose. write self-indulgent fluff that’s never going to be published. scribble three lines of poetry in the back of your history notebook. draw fanart of your own characters. write stupid dialogue that your publishers might hate. start new wips that you might never finish but write those three chapters that make you happy because if you don’t write them, who else will?

writing shouldn’t always be about “will publishers like this” or “i have to reach this word count” or “how do i get the most likes”.

have fun with your writing.
