Got the way the dogs retreated in season two made me so upset. I really needed the cathartic release of each of the dogs going with of mouse friends to protect them in her stead. I think Thorgi with Dante is great. I think you really missed the underlining horrible sadness that would come from Zoe, Levin and Malachi leaving. Thorgi knew Levin the longest. He knew Phoenix drop the longest.
Do you understand how incredibly sad that dog would become after having to choose between staying to guard the only place he has ever known as Home or the last two links he has to his oldest friend in the form of her children. I prayed every god out there that that dog lived long enough to see Levin, Malachi, and Zoe return. Because I think Thorgy would stay with Dante. I believe he got a command to stay and protect, similar to what Dante was told.
Cookie with Cadenza, obviously. I could see one of them going with Kiki idk why but Puma feels right for this. Phoenix would take over the role of going with Zoe and the boys. I feel like his name would bring them some comfort a little bit of home. I feel like Jiggy would go with Dale and Molly‘s family eventually returning to Phoenix drop with Alexis.
I haven’t written anything in like 12 years, but I have a very strong desire to write about this
Hey do you guys think that when Kiki left with all of aphmaus dogs (aside from cookie) that thorgi refused to go?
Do you think he sniffed out where the portal had been and sat in the woods waiting for her to come back?
Do you think Dante waited with him?

YES IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS.
I think either Garroth was the previous lord (the seeming death of his wife and child would affirm in his mind that he was not fit to rule as he thought. He would retire to the guard, but without a lord in his village he too starts to forget.)
The thing that messes me up so bad about this is that ZENIX was heavily implied to have been the one to take Matilda and Levin, presumably eventually killing the former and trying to kill the latter. I just think there’s something poetic and horrible about the chose family Garroth remembers trying to kill the family he can’t remember.
OR
I do think it more likely with the cannon of the story that Garroth and Matilda were lovers despite her being married to the first lord. Alhough I couldn’t really see Garroth being an affair partner but I think from what we know of Levin’s bio mom it is entirely possible that she and Garroth had at least a fling.
In what little time we see her we can tell that Matilda is selfless and loving, at least in regards to her child, and that she cares enough for Garroth to ask about him directly, ONLY HIM. In my mind her and Aphmau are very similar in personality and I think it’s entirely plausible that Garroth and Matilda fell in love despite her marriage to Malik.
From what we know about Malik (the of lord of Phoenix Drop) he doesn’t seem like he would outright be a great lord or husband. His first entry is about how he can date the villagers here. (Ik that this is probably eluding that like Aph in the beginning he was a player in MC discovering a mod pack, and, like Aph, slowly became more engrossed in the story to the point where she didn’t call herself Jess anymore she was fully Aph. That’s a topic for another rant tho).
“Milifina (I’m assuming Matilda as he refers to her as family) and one of the guard (most likely Garroth) are acting … different … in a good way!” From this excerpt we can assume that Matilda and Garroth were the first villagers to awaken when the lord arrived. This isn’t surprising since both lived in previous places that, assumedly in Matilda’s case, had a lord and would have been in this “aware” state previously.
ADDITIONALLY, Malik’s journals never once mention having a child. Even when writing about his escape attempt his words are “my wife and I”. He does, however, go on to mention his “family comes first” without much detail as to who that is. But how do you forget to write down your son? Unless, you knew he wasn’t your son, but still considered him family? 👀👀👀
Also, before anyone says “aw but that wouldn’t work cuz XYZ remembers this happening” remember that one of the shadow knights who is, according to the wiki, one who helped orchestrate the murder of the old lord of Phoenix Drop, canonically has the ability to erase minds.
Anyway sorry for the long post I have
*~- emotions -~*
about this topic.
So there's an implication in s1 that Levin is Garroth's kid right? And he doesn't remember Levin's mother? So how do you think he felt when he came out of the irene dimension and saw a mirror looking back at him? Do you think he flinches to see Levin sometimes because he's looking more and more like Garroth every day, and in turn, Garroth is looking more and more like Garte? Do you think he despairs at what it means, that he had a love and a family ripped from him so harshly he doesn't even remember them. Do you think he looks for Matilda, 15 years too late, only to find she had perished long ago at the hands of Zenix.
Do you think he looks back and despairs, that all of the suffering that has befallen his loved ones, he alone has been the long, twisted, common thread?

It’s been a bit now all my sketches for failing symbol are either a mask with a dagger through the eye holes or a hand grabbing a dagger by the blade.
Torvah’s symbol is the broken tower and it’s been mentioned that all the other gods have symbols. I wonder what Falen’s symbol is? Or what Maeris will be.
My idea for it would be some type of weed-like flower. Specifically a dandelion cuz like they’re known for being able to grow anywhere. And during her speech as she named herself she said (paraphrasing) “to be mortal is to survive” and so I think that something like that would be fitting.

Shhh I’m hailing a brain wave.
We know Maeri’s tear tracks are a direct manifestation of overusing her powers without a name. However, we also know that overexertion of magic has different effects on different gods. (For example : Kai not being able to hold a single shape / beast form and Falen being clopped)
With these examples there is an important common ground that the way the “defects” manifest are related to the gods title. If that makes sense.
Like, Kai is the sacrifice, so her form in the void (in her realm) shifts between her daughters which she sacrificed. And outside her realm she takes the shape of the three beast gods which sacrificed themselves so she and Estra would live.
A much more noticeable connection is Falen’s “defect” which is a version of himself that betrays his desires.
Ok ok so my theory is, Maeri’s tear tracks aren’t specifically her “defect” from overusing her magic. I think it’s scarring in general. Like, the thing about surviving is that it leaves scars, either physically (burns, surgery scars, etc.) or mentally (ptsd, survivors guilt, etc.). So if Maeri continues to overuse her magic she’ll become covered in golden scars to the point where they make up most of her skin. Golden skin? Hmmm. Where have I heard that before? 🤔
Anyway all that to say that the time Maeri was holding the shield nearly killed her and it makes me really sad.

Thinking long and hard tonight boys.
No fear
“Bad Falen saying he does whatever betrays his counterpart followed by saying he would never hurt Fran implying “good” Falen would.”
One Fear.

Yess!!! The dandelion seeds connecting the fall of Estra!! Brilliant I hadn’t even thought of that!!
I also think it’s be neat for like Maeri’s symbol to be the flower in bloom yellow petals on one side and full fluff on the other. Kinda a representation of her desire to remain mortal vs coming into her own as a god
Also, I think Falen as a mask would be cool. Maybe with a dagger through it? For like betrayed. Would have double meaning now that he’s been clopped.

Addition: The Flaming Raging Posioning Sword of Doom is actually from the SC. Taako and Lup tried to swindle it from the creater (the top student at their artificer school on the same plane Lup made the umbrastaff). Taako tried first and didn’t succeed, Lup however did and she gives him so much shit for it. Flash forward to now It ended up in the Fantasy Costco due to shenanigans.
The poisoning raging sword of doom is far from the first sword Takko owned, during the SC he and Lup would compete for who could gained the most extravagant sword in a cycle (only obtaining one per cycle.) and while Lup would drop this habit after getting out of the umbrastaff, Takko always has at least three baller ass sword on display around his and Kravitz’s house. The swords do get regularly swapped out for others in storage in the attic, and Kravitz will regularly add sword he comes across.
