Okay so I'm a huge huge sucker for isekai plots and I'm so mad I didn't find this series earlier! In this comic we follow Ryu Jaerin, a university student who's a massive fangirl of the fictional character Hwi in the drama 'Hwaya'. I think she suffers from a form of social anxiety so she freezes up when theres's crowds of people around and tries to make her interactions with people as efficient as possible.

She gets tricked by her sister to act as an extra on set and she meets Hwi's actor, Lee Ahn. Ahn thinks she's his fangirl and immediately gives her the Kwaya script so she could fan his face. It's quite goofy and their first meeting is full of silly moments such as:

honest to god this man could not be real...

of course as Hwi's ult fangirl with not interest in his actor (which, totally understandable, that's me with Obi-Wan lmao), she brushes him off and tries to leave, only to fall down a cliff, with Ahn trying to save her and only falling with her, transporting them into the world of Hwaya.

They soon learn that the world is very real, and that they must act out the roles of Hwaya, the protagonist, and Hwi, the first male lead, in order for the plot to progress further and have a chance at returning home.

I love the interactions between our two main characters so far, although I think Ahn's characterisation gets a little muddled initially as he's often acting as Hwi in order to get the two of them out of sticky situations, but the author makes it clear that he's trying to improve his own acting, so I hope that journey for him goes well!

I think it's sweet that he tries to help Jaerin act (even if its to avoid getting into trouble) and I think the stark difference between how she acts when he's playing as Hwi versus when he's just himself is pretty funny.

There's a few tropes such as fake relationship shenanigans, but it's not too annoying, and I think it's quite amusing seeing how Jaerin acts until she realises that she's with Ahn, and not actual character Hwi. The chemistry between them isn't too awkward either, and the misunderstandings their shenanigans have caused have made me laugh out loud.

Overall, I think this manhwa is off to a good start, and I'm looking forward to eventually finishing this series!

As an art person, I tend to tolerate stuff longer if the art is really pretty lol. Also my art rating might be potentially lower than what other people may rate it, I don't know if I'm picky but I have dropped series because of art style before oops

Even if the rating seems harsh, I really enjoy stuff with ratings above 6.5 usually! I’m just not the type of person to give 10s a lot hehe
