Oroville Lake is situated in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada about 5 miles (8.0 km) northeast of Oroville. At over 3,500,000 acre feet (4.3 km3), it is one of the largest reservoirs in California, after Shasta Lake. The lake is fed by the North Fork, Middle Fork, West Branch and South Forks of the Feather River. It is at 32% of normal. Shasta is at 42%.
