Miami Sampler from Tanzanite Records
As the clubbing calendar draws ever nearer the most prolific week of the year, and Florida prepares for yet another invasion of the electronic music industry, and the world’s finest electronic music, we at Tanzanite have been hard at work sourcing the biggest main room sounds from undiscovered producers across Europe in preparation of our first ever Miami Winter Music Conference Sampler, and we think we’ve found some real gems!
The first Miami sampler from the acclaimed Tanzanite Records showcases six tracks of uplifting progressive House, including tracks from Richard Dinsdale himself, Henri Leo Thiesen, Robbie Senza, Sam Abello and Wahlstedt, to name a few. Combined with euphoric melodies, impressive vocals, deep bass and rhythmic electronic drums and percussion, we present to you our biggest release so far in our early lifespan.
Tanzanite Records will be in Miami from the 19th of March. Look out for the sampler!
“…Henri Leo Thiesen, Robbie Senza, Samuel Abello, Wahlstedt, Kylan Mash, Fran Garcia and Andy G are truly the artists to look out for in the future and Tanzanite Records are proud to have found these guys. We think their sound is going to be liked all over the world and feel we have only just scratched the surface with them.
This year I am very proud to announce that I will be playing at The Ultra Music Festival, Nikki Beach and the H50 Rooftop party as well as popping into many different parties.” - Richard Dinsdale, Tanzanite Records founder.

Fierce EP is OUT NOW at Beatport
Spain’s finest meets the UK’s finest on the latest Great Stuff release, with two house heavyweights colliding for a collaboration that fuses the best of both of their sounds.
Fierce carries all the summery, sexy house sway that we’ve come to love from the legendary Wally Lopez, while Toolroom Records stalwart Richard Dinsdale lays on plenty of big room sensibility and techy rhythm. Taut bongos meet huge swathes of white noise atop a trademark Lopez tribal groove, with bass and kooky vocals riding the track in perfect unison. If one listen to this doesn’t transport you onto the dancefloor at Space, we’ll be surprised. Italian hotshot Leon steps up to provide a more subtle remix, predicated on some skippy old skool house beats and the infectious vocal. A twinkling, dreamy breakdown provides the contrast, with sustained, quivering strings bringing the tension.
Switch is cut from a rather different cloth, deeper and more focused than its counterpart. A throbbing tech groove with murky bass chuggs away under heady swathes of pads and hypnotic, pulsating tech stabs, creating a slice of atmospheric, heads-down techno that fans of Christian Smith and the like should dig. Tense, engrossing and very cool indeed. Ismael Rivas aka Riva & Bias Factomania shuffle up the techno flavour on their remix, keeping the feel and colour of the original intact while injecting its beats and rhythm with a more insistent, rolling energy.

Richard's remix of Tomcraft's 'Tell Mummy' is hitting Beatport today!
Short and sweet is a rule that many dance music producers would do well to adhere to. Sure, there are occasions when a longer, more drawn-out, slow-building vibe is called for, but all too often it’s a case of too many bars and too few ideas. Great Stuff founder Tomcraft returns to his home label with 5 minutes and 20 seconds of razor-sharp electro tech on Tell Mummy, showing the beauty of succinctness. His original is a pounding beast, introduced with soft vinyl crackles and eerie textures and FX before a killer Moroder style arpeggiated bassline thumps into focus. Nagging tech-trance flavoured synth lines build the tension over taut, undulating over and weaving in between each other before a classic rave vocal cuts through the build-up and the full manic energy of the track is unleashed in all its glory. It’s stadium-sized stuff to really kick a set into overdrive with.
England’s Richard Dinsdale is firing on full form once again, and proves he’s worth his salt with a sumptuously rolling techy refix. Mashed-up vocal edits and rasping electro and tech synth blasts, bleeps and zips help to create a gently mind-bending atmosphere atop a bouncy, hipshaking groove that’s hard to resist. So why bother trying? Stick it on and discover that sweet spot between big room energy and underground cool.
