I have this headcanon that Tony and Bruce have a secret language they made up together in college to communicate when they didn’t want others to understand. It’s both verbal and non verbal- it took them about a week to create it verbally and then two to make it work in writing. They definitely spent too much time on it, and I can imagine them almost turning in an assignment late because they were too busy with their personal project.

Anyway I bring this up, because I like the idea that it’s used even when it’s unnecessary.

I can see it in my mind, Bruce had a particularly rough day and he’s just slumped over Tony’s stupidly shaped table wide table (which he bought as a statement art piece. No one uses it- it’s not practical. Everyone uses his other smaller normal one instead) head in his hands. Tony asks him whats wrong and gets a response only he can understand. No else is around, he doesn’t have to be speaking it but he is.

It adds like an intersting level of intimacy. Making up and using a language just to speak with one person and that person only.
