Day 15 in Silicon Valley 🌎

Hi! This is Sae. Today, I’ll be writing about our site-visit again. We visited Plug and Play, Google and Stanford Shopping Mall. It took about three hours to move between our school and the sites by bus! I sat in the first row, so I could talk with our student assistant, Roy. He showed us his precious album of his days in Japan. When we finally arrived at Plug and Play, we were all tired because of the long-distance travel. Yet, we could learn some specific things about their activities. Next, we went to Google Shop, and some of us bought goods like stickers and pens. I was surprised that the workers were moving between the office buildings by cute and colorful bikes! After that, even though we should have visited Facebook too, our bus driver was so flexible as he said that we didn’t visit there, and went back our school. It took three and half an hour, but still, we could enjoy today’s trip!

Hi! I'm Gentaro. Today we had a response from the owner of The Good Scoop. His response was very polite and there were many good informations. I was impressed that this company is helping a lot to the local society and trying to keep making the true icecream.

Day 13

Hello it’s Hikari:)

Today I went to a swimming pool in my neighborhood with my friends. I was so excited because I haven’t had a chance to go to a outside swimming pool for a long time! The things I was surprised at were the two big diving boards! This was my first time to try, so at first it was scary but as I jumped in for several times, I was able to do the front flip which I used to practice on trampoline:) Today, it was a lovely day for swimming!!

Yesterday, I went to San Francisco. This is my first time to visit San Francisco, so I really enjoyed it! I ate very big clam chowder. That clam chowder’s bowl was made of bread. We could eat clam chowder and bowl too! It was really good. At the end of the trip I went to the Golden Gate Bridge! Firstly, the fog was thick, but finally we could see the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge! I want to go to San Francisco again, someday!

Hi, I'm Anna! Today I went to the movie with my friends. We watched "Incredible 2". It was really great, we all love that the movie.Sadly, we only have 11days left😭 I hope we can enjoy the rest of stay in Davis.

Day 6 at UCDavis☕️

Hi! It’s Sae. Today, we visited Insight Coffee Roasters after school, dressed in our UCDavis hoodies. On the way to the shop, everybody looked like they were having a lot of fun because they sang some songs together. At the shop, we tested different kinds of coffees and of course all of them were so good that some of us bought their coffee products such as beans, drinks and cookies. In short, we were able to really enjoy the site-visit!

Hi! I'm Gentaro from UCD group 3. I'm sorry that I forgot to post this yesterday. Yesterday, we each had a good time. Some went to Sacramento, some went to SanFrancisco, and I went to Reno where is famous for casino. We all had a great experience and we are very excited of coming days.

Day 4 at Sacramento:)

Hello! I’m Hikari!

Today, about a half of the students in our class visited Sacramento! We first went to the old town of Sacramento where we found lots of photo spots for posting on instagram! (and of course on tumblr lol) We enjoyed taking each other’s photo as well as making poses:) After that, we went to the California State Capitol Museum. We didn’t get to go inside but still, we enjoyed taking pictures in front of it. I was very satisfied with my day at Sacramento!!

Hi, I’m Anna. Our classes just started today! We have 4 classes in a day and our teachers are very nice so we are sure we can enjoy our classes. After school, we went to “chipotle” in downtown Davis. I was waiting for eating the bowl for a long time and finally I could eat today!! I am sure I will go to chipotle again😂Then we went to GAP, Bath & Body Works and school store. Everyone got UC Davis hoodies for 25％ off. It was very good deal😂❤️

2nd day at UC Davis!

Hi! I’m Kanako. Today, we had a test, and after that we went to downtown. We went there by bike which we rented today. Downtown is not so flourish, but we enjoyed cycling. At the downtown, we drank “tapioka”. It was cheaper than Japan. And also we went shopping. “Gap” and “ bath & body works” was having a sale, so some people bought clothes or perfumes. We had a great time there. I have a plan to go to “chipotle” where it is our senpai recommended restaurant. I am looking forward to going there tomorrow!

History→The Good Scoop started their company in February 2016.

Founder→The Good Scoop was founded in February 2016 by brother and sister team, Marnie and Stephen Layton.
