you guys it’s go time, let’s take stock:
I’ve been around the block getting favorite shows renewed. Here’s what we need to ask ourselves:
What is a hashtag we can all agree along the lines of “renew good omens”? I propose just that, #renew good omens (or #RenewGoodOmens on other platforms), short and simple. Tag it on EVERYTHING. COMMENT it on everything.
What are Amazon Prime’s most used social medias? Where are they most likely to interact with fans and actually SEE these tagged posts? Post any good omens thing you make THERE.
How are the shoes actual reviews fairing? What is the imbd and rotten tomatoes score? Make a log in, and show your love THERE.
Re-watching is ENDLESSLY important, we need to be doing that until the cows come home. But there’s no guarantee it’ll work in isolation. Don’t forget we need to do more.
First of all, it communicates to the networks in a massive, organized wave that we aren’t just watching the show casually. That it MEANS something to us and we’ll hype the FUCK up out of a season 3. Second of all, it gets the news out to potential NEW audiences that can join the team and help us in this endeavor.
@amazonprime @amazon (oh good! You’re here 🙂)

everybody say thank you, neil
Can we actually just take a minute to thank Neil actually? He DIDN'T HAVE TO give us the Apology Dance or the dance in the Ball or the Bentley scene or Angel Crowley or them sharing an armchair or the continuation of the Blitz Scene or any of it, really, but he did. Thank you, Neil.

"Here, you have the chance to be a part of something bigger than yourself."
Erik Lehnsherr has never been a part of, always other. There was the world, humanity... and then there was him.

watched it like three hours ago and these are my thoughts exactlly. youre just way more eloquent than me lol
someone probably said this already but in spiderverse i think it's interesting how when pavitr was first introduced everyone thought something bad was gonna happen to him bc of how confident and optimistic he was. and then in the actual movie we see that something bad was supposed to happen to him (police chief dying!) but it doesn't! miles stops it! and miguel berates miles for this, says it's going to cause the universe to collapse or whatever.
there's this idea that tragedy is inherent to spidermans growth, and while it's true that some spiderpeople learn important lessons through loss, no one stops to ask, is it really necessary? yeah, maybe the chief was supposed to die. but why does spiderman have to be formed through tragedy? why do we (as heroes) have to let people die? pavitr didn't lose anyone, and he's still a good spiderman! maybe, if he doesn't suffer, he'll end up better off for it!
so while miguel is arguing for all this big picture stuff about saving the multiverse he's lost sight of what it really means to be a spiderman, he's not looking out for the real individual people. yeah it's just one person who would die, but that one person means something to someone. shrugging and saying "stuff just sucks sometimes, we can't do anything about it" is the opposite of what superheroes do. pretty obviously, miles arc is also a reflection of the struggles people face in real life, working within unequal systems, where it's easy to shrug and say "that's just the way it is" and not ask "but why does it need be this way? can't we do something about it?"
miguel is arguing that you can't have your cake and eat it too. presumably, miles and co. are going to find a way to get around that and change things for the better (and maybe that's why miles has that line about two cakes in the advisors office!)

i know man i loved it. they really stuck it to the mcu brainrot stans... by showing them what an actual movie is supposed to look like
Not only was it awesome to see Donald Glover make a live-action cameo in Across the Spider Verse,
I find it absolutely HILARIOUS that Disney/MCU Spider-Man was NOWHERE to be seen in Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse but both Toby Mcguire's and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man were given cameos 😂

Hey, do y’all remember how Tencent said they were developing faceID AI to identify people in riots, and then they suddenly created an AI art generator to turn your selfies into anime?
Do y’all remember that time that someone discovered facial recognition cameras couldn't see through Juggalo makeup, then Facebook had a fun “see what you'd look like with Juggalo makeup” thing, and then facial recognition cameras could suddenly see through Juggalo makeup?
Do y’all remember how, on Twitter, Elon started a tirade against artists who ask for credit when their art is reposted, and he suddenly he created one of the first big art AI programs?
Do y’all remember how AI destroyed the field of translation, despite the inferiority of the machine translations, because people didn’t care about the quality of the translations? They just wanted it done for free?
Do you know how companies will see a lot of money going into a New Tech Thing (like, say, AI art apps) and will jump to try and implement that New Tech Thing into their tech? For example, how it felt like every big company and celebrity had an NFT to sell?
Just wondering.

[Transcript: Given the love of Star Trek by scientist-fans, it is unsurprising that many have dedicated elements of their work to characters in the series. Some examples include:
A wasp whose individuals vary greatly in appearance named Phanuromyia odo, inspired by shape-changing character Odo in DS9;
A beetle named Agra dax after the character Jadzia Dax in DS9 and dedicated to the actress who played her
A hermit crab with a wrinkled belly area named Annutidiogenes worfi after the TNG/DS9 character Worf, who bore a wrinkled forehead;
A clam named Ledella spocki named after TOS character Spock and having valves shaped like the pointed ears that Spock possessed in the series;
Two DNA sequences that have the ability to copy themselves to other locations in the genome named Worf and Spock;
A popular software package used for analysis of DNA sequences named Picard, after the captain in TNG.
